Occasionally, costume codes are posted through the forums, Facebook or Twitter. If you happen to be the first person to apply it to your account, you get whatever costume the code was for.

In the case of my Night Widow, I'm thinking:
Combat Training: Offensive
Placate
Hasten
Combat Training: Offensive doesn't really need slotting to be useful. One Accuracy in there and that's all I'll need
Placate should be fine with 1-2 Recharges in it (I may borrow a slot from Hurdle).
Hasten's the tricky one. I might have to take slots out of Vengeance, but since I'm mostly soloing lately, that's not likely going to be a problem (I'll lose some accuracy and recharge from set bonuses...but Hasten!) -

I think a search and filter function would go a long way towards what people are asking for here
Search - for Badge requirements ("Fake Nemesis" would point you to Unveiler, or your progress in said badge so far), name (for either side - so searching "Reformed" would still yield "Villain" for villains), or accolade (searching an accolade lists the badges needed to earn it, for accolades and gladiators triggered by earning other badges)
Filter - Filter by category, earned or not earned -
Now we can solve the mystery of who bashed that poor guy's head in with a paper weight!
TPBM can now smell through walls, even airtight ones! -

Have a gravity controller who I enhanced for Lift with Knockback Distance, Knockup in this case.
Two fun things to do with that. One, team with a blaster and skeet shoot critters the controller toss into the air after the blaster says "Pull". The other is while soloing, and if you have hover or fly, is to hover over a critter, lift it into the air but be close enough to it's apex to smack it with brawl (on auto). Not the most effective way to zero out it's hitpoints but it looks funny from a distance.

You can use a rotating bind to accomplish this, by creating bind files and using /bindloadfilesilent in your binds
For example:
explode.txt
rez.txtCode:numpad0 powexecname fallout$$bindloadfilesilent rez.txt
Code:numpad0 powexecname mutation$$bindloadfilesilent explode.txt
You might also try this variation with vengeance:
explode.txt
venge.txtCode:numpad0 powexecname fallout$$bindloadfilesilent venge.txt
rez.txtCode:numpad0 powexecname vengeance$$bindloadfilesilent rez.txt
Code:numpad0 powexecname mutation$$bindloadfilesilent explode.txt
Note that bindloadfilesilent can cause a crash (or did they fix that) if you don't target the files correctly, and it helps to have a reset key for such rotating binds (such as /bind decimal "bindloadfilesilent explode.txt") -

Hmm...8 force bolts, slotted for knockback, set on auto with a team leader and 7 team mates targetting through him or her.
The leader starts with no target selected, and then, suddenly, clicks on the AV
Would that coordinate the force bolts quickly enough to reliably stack most or all of them?

As for the invention thing - there are a few other things to watch out for
Unique - you can only slot up to one of each of these in your entire build
Purples - Level 47 isn't good enough, you need to reach level 50 to slot these. Also, all purples are UNIQUE
Chance for X - On powers that you have to click to activate once, you get either one chance for it to trigger, or one chance for each target your power affects. On powers that are toggles, or that summon field effects that can't be targetted, there's a chance for it to go off when triggered and once every 10 seconds the power remains going after initial activation.
Set bonuses - To get an invention set bonus, enhancements from the same set must be slotted in the same power
One Set IO of a Kind Per Power - You can't put two Essence of Curare: Acc/Rech in the same power. You can, however, slot a second one in a different hold power, or slot an Essence of Curare: Acc/Rech along with an Essence of Curare: Hold/End in the same power (or say, all 6 enhancements from the set in the same power). -
