I think the blue guy is a player and the red robot is an npc. If you look at 3:12 the red robot is laying there defeated in a death pose caused by ragdoll physics. A defeated player would have their legs together rather than spread and the left arm wouldn't have been thrust out like that. Maybe the red robot is an AE creation since it uses player costume pieces.

Ok, I'll come. namesake and EoE's (6).

Quote:I would go with without the newspaper/police band missions leading up to the mayhem/safeguard. When you flashback in time to do a story arc it makes sense that you can't just jump directly into the second mission without doing the first mission because the second mission springs from your actions in the first. This isn't the case with newspaper/police band misions and mayhem/safeguard missions. The reqirement to do 3-5 newspaper/police band missions to get a mayhem/safeguard is a game mechanic, the two types of missions aren't tied together via the story line. (On a side note I wouldn't mind seperating the two altogether and be able to get mayhem/safeguard missions without having to do newspaper/police band missions.)1) With or without the prerequisite newspaper missions? I'm assuming "with", even though that would be a rather odd (disjointed as one poster said) story arc.
Could set one faction as the one to do all 3-5 missions against, but you know folks would quit and restart if they got a faction they hate.
Quote:2) Who would serve as the arc's contact? The Broker/Detective would provide a location to TP to from Ouro.
Another way to do this without using Oruroboros would be to level lock these missions the same way TF/SF's are. For example, if a level 50 charecter opens the newspaper in PO they could take a level 10 newspaper mission. after completing 3 such missions they could see their broker for a level 10 AP mayhem. -
I suggest adding mayhem and safeguard missions to Ororborus so that characters that switch sides can go on these missions on their own. As it stands now the only way a character that switches sides can go on a mayhem/safeguard mission theyve outleveled is to go on another characters mayhem/safeguard mission. This is particularly important for Heroes switching to Villains since it takes the exploration badges from all 9 mayhem missions to earn the Invader Accolade Badge (+5% max health.)

This is the question I asked:
Will mayhem and safeguard missions be added to Ororborus so that characters that switch sides can go on these missions on their own? As it stands now the only way a character that switches sides can go on a mayhem/safeguard mission they’ve outleveled is to go on another character’s mayhem/safeguard mission. This is particularly important for Heroes switching to Villains since it takes the exploration badges from all 9 mayhem missions to earn the Invader Accolade Badge (+5% max health.) -
Wow, that was about the last thing I expected for GR. Happy to see it but really surprised.

Quote:Had my wisdom teeth pulled about 6-7 years ago. Thankfully they'd pull one, let it heal, and then bring me in on another appointment for the next. The 1st three came out fine, the last one they had to break to get out. I couldn't feel the tooth but I could hear them cracking it into pieces. It was everything I could do not to grab their hands out of my mouth and run. On top of everything else the gave me percocet for the pain and I had a bad reaction. Ralphed my guts out at the barrakcs then started dry heaving. God I hate seeing the dentist.Sorry to hear that. I know how you feel I just had all 4 of my wisdom teeth remove about 1 1/2 months ago. I',m so glad they knock me out for that. Put yea the pain is nuts after the novocaine wears off.
VikingThey gave me a prescription for vicodin today but I'm going to stick with motrin and whiskey.

Sounds interesting. i know my question will be "Will mayhem and safeguard missions be added to Ororborus so characters that switch sides can do them via flashback rather than having to go on another characters mission?"
-
If you look at the Prelude to Going Rogue video starting at 2:55 there's an enemy group that has a "disgruntled band of ruthless soldiers" look to them. Get the feeling those are the Destroyers.

God I hate going to the dentist. Had a really bad toothache in one of my molars so I set up an appointment and went in to get it checked out. I was thinking it was a cavity and they'd drill it out. Dentist takes an x-ray, looks it over, and tells me it isn't a cavity it's an abscess (infection) under two teeth. Then he tells me those two teeth will have to come out so they can clean the abscess out, wonderful. So they set up an appointment to go to an oral surgeon to yank the teeth.
Luckily the surgeon could see me today so I head over, fill out a bunch of paperwork and wait. Then they stick me in this upright x-ray machine and take another x-ray (and charge me more money.) Then they put me in the chair and shoot me full of novocaine. The surgeon leaves while the novocaine takes effect but he left the tray full of tools he was going to use. These fuggin things looked like medieval torture instruments, all blades and hooks and stainless steel. Once I'm numb he comes back and gets to work. I can't feel anything from the teeth but I can feel the pressure of the teeth getting yanked out of my jaw and what's worse I can hear him yanking them out and then scraping out the infection.
When they're all done they notice I'm pale and sweating and want to know if I'm all right? You just yanked two teeth out of my mouth, of course I'm not all right, what are you nuts? After the procedure (torture) the surgeon leaves and his assistant tells me what I can get to replace the two teeth. I can get a denture or I can get dental implants. She quotes me a price of 4 grand for the implants and I tell her no. She immediately drops the price to 3,500 but I'm still not interested. I'm not paying thousands for implants just get me some dentures so I can chew. Then she asked how I wanted to pay, I said teeth...she didn't find that funny.
So now I'm sitting here eating ice cream and waiting for the bleeding to stop. The novocaine has pretty much worn of but it really doesn't hurt although I think I'll hang out with Mr. Beam in a little bit. -
I like playing "let's you and him fight" by leading hostile NPCs into to each other and watching them fight. The Ghost of Scrapyard is the best for this since his massive mob of scrapyarders have linked aggro. It really works well in Potter's Field because there are so many NPCs there. Just a couple taunts and pretty soon the entire area is one big war zone.
The AE is great for making huge NPC battles as well. Pick a huge outdoor map, add the maximum amount of patrols possible, split the patrols evenly between enemy and rogue, crank it up to an 8 man spawn, and watch the massive battles as the patrols run into each other. -
In a word...retcon. Rularuu reforms in the Shadow Shard and begins attacking Primal Earth. All of the Signature Heroes and Villains are quickly killed leaving it up to the players to defeat Rularuu. We of course defeat him but then discover that he is a vital part of the COH multiverse and with his removal that multiverse will reset itself.
COH2 launches set in the new multiverse where everything is familiar but everything is different. All the old characters and groups are there but their storys are retold with new twists and continuity errors are fixed. -
Quote:You have to use the undamaged elevator tube. There are three elevator tubes, two are on fire and unsusable the third is undamaged and usable.I just ran the Retake Your Clone Lab mission twice (part of Leonard's arc).
It appears to be unbeatable. After defeating Protean, we were told to flee. But there was no exit to be found anywhere, and the elevators on the floor beneath the one where we fought Protean were inoperable.
To make matters worse, neither of us could continue searching for very long, due to the fire. And even when standing in a spot where there was no fire, our Aid Self was unusable. Kept being "Interrupted" for no good reason whatsoever.
How are we supposed to complete this mission, other than just letting the timer expire on us? -
There's an entry for WarWorks, bet they'll be interesting. I'm guessing clockwork built specifcally for military operations.

I’d like to suggest adding a new NPC group called the Order of the Crimson Lotus that focuses on Demon Summoning similar to the way Cimerorans/Cimeroran Traitors focus on Shield Defense.
STORYLINE
Infernal is/was a member of the Order of the Crimson Lotus but to the best of my knowledge they are mentioned nowhere in the game. But Paragon Wiki does have a reference to the Order under Infernal’s history:
Quote:This is an excellent bit of back story on the Order and introduces a major villain in the T’Keron/Valmaz fusion but we need a little more to turn the Order into an enemy group. In my 25+ years of comic book nerd experience I’ve found that 99.99% of the time a secondary character is fused/joined/merged with an evil entity the evil entity either takes complete control or corrupts the secondary character to the point the evil en tity is the power behind the throne (primary characters constantly struggle with the evil entity for control supplying vast amounts of storyline drama.) Also the secondary character generally retains their heroic looks and can fool others into thinking everything is fine until the evil entity is ready to reveal itself (on the other hand, primary characters tend to look like a beast from hell and be treated as such causing even more storyline drama.)K'Varr D'Shall was the most skilled demon binder in the Order of the Crimson Lotus on an alternate Earth. His order bound demons into their weapons and armor, in order to keep Infernal Earth from being overrun by them. They were maintaining and uneasy peace until K'Varr's best friend T'Keron grew jealous of his comrade's power and skill. T'Keron attempted to bind Valmaz, Lord of Demons, but lost control of the ceremony. K'Varr arrived to help his friend, but it was too late. K'Varr, T'Keron, and Valmaz were all drawn through a dimensional rip caused by the binding ceremony onto Primal Earth, our Earth. T'Keron and the Demon Lord were bound together by the potent mystic forces.
The ways of our world are strange to K'Varr but Numina is assisting him in becoming acclimated and beginning his search for the unholy fusion of T'Keron and Valmaz.
This being the case Valmaz, Lord of Demons, would be in control but the fusion would appear to be just T’Keron. T’Keron/Valmaz would travel back to Infernal Earth and convince the Order of the Crimson Lotus that K'Varr (Infernal) had been the one fused with Valmaz. T’Keron/Valmaz would then teach Order how to “bind” more and more powerful demons into their weapons and armor in order to combat Infernal’s “evil” allies from Primal Earth. In reality these “bound” demons would corrupt and eventually control the Order to the point where the Order would serve Valmaz. Valmaz could then conquer Infernal Earth and then set his sights on Primal and/or Praetorian Earth.
APPEARANCE
The Order of the Crimson Lotus would draw on two sources of inspiration for their appearance, Infernal and the demons from the Demon Summoning (DS) powerset. Looking at Infernal, he’s wearing medieval armor and carries battle axe so the Order would bind demons to medieval weapons and armor. If I were to compare DS demons to the existing COX demons on a “horror” scale, the DS demons would be a step or two above the existing ones. Their skinless bodies and skull heads are a bit more disturbing than the existing demons (although I keep think of the demonlings as hot, mild, and garlic Buffalo wings but maybe I’m just weird.) Putting these two elements together would give the Order of the Crimson Lotus a fantasy/horror theme for their appearance. The building blocks of this fantasy/horror theme would be:
Demon Armor and Shields – Armor pieces with engraved demon faces and lots of unnecessary hooks, spikes, and blades .
Skull Heads/Helms – Basically horror based skull heads/helms. Fanged human skulls with serpent tongues, sheep/bull skulls, wolf/canine skulls, snake skulls,
etc.
Skinless Style – Any piece that has a Monstrous Fur or Hairy style would have a Skinless style. Basically, no skin like the DS demons.
Demon Weapons – Weapons with lots of unnecessary blades, teeth, and cross guards like Kit Rae’s weapons.
Also, I’d like to see this fantasy/horror theme be an unlockable costume set for players like the Roman Costume Pieces and Weapons are.
POWERSETS
The Order of the Crimson Lotus’s primary powerset would be Demon Summoning. The secondary powerset could be Willpower or Invulnerability with No FX. A support class using Pain Domination would definitely fit the theme. A weapon using, melee class would also fit in. Dual Blades with either WP or IN would be a good choice. Also, all classes would have working demon wings and flight.
INFERNAL EARTH
I’d envision Infernal Earth to be a mirror dimension of Primal Earth but rather than the relationship being good/evil like Praetorian Earth it would be science/magic. The Infernal Earth counterparts of Primal Earth science and technology based characters would be magic users and vice-versa. For example, Positron’s Infernal Earth counterpart would have forged and enchanted a powerful suit of armor (hmm, maybe Infernal is his dimension’s Positron) while War Witch’s counterpart would be a great inventor. As for what an Infernal Earth zone would look like I’d stick with the fantasy/horror theme and go for an Eastern European, Romanian look based on the great horror novels. Thick evergreen forests, swift rivers hurtling through deep channels, inaccessible mountain fortresses, lightning filled skies, etc. -
Well I had fun, thanks for the TFs MG and Voo (since you did set it up.) I liked what they did with the maps in these TFs and the new arcs. Take an existing map and add objects to make a new one. Makes alot of sense.
Also, a couple GR bits were introduced with I17:
Independence Port: 2246.5, -24.8, 1143.9
Sharkhead Isle: 1086.6, -25.0, 1143.9 -
Quote:It's still there on live. It looks like the passage from Paragon to the Rogue Isles for side switching when it goes active in GR.I saw a picture in a thread about a guy next to a submarine in Indepdence Port giving a popup about alignment.
Not sure what the circumstance of that is or if it's still there on live.
Independence Port: 2246.5 -24.8 -9279.8
Sharkhead Isle: 1086.6 -25.0 1143.9 -

I beleive the devs are still working on introducing enemies this big, it's just not on the front burner. During I15 closed beta a Mek Man Gigante was briefly available in the AE and it was truely Gigante. Turned out it was there accidently and Castle let us now it was a test model he was using to work on enemies that big. Before we found out what they were I made an AE arc with nothing but Mek Man Gigantes and got some pics. You can view them here if you would like:
