Sounds interesting. i know my question will be "Will mayhem and safeguard missions be added to Ororborus so characters that switch sides can do them via flashback rather than having to go on another characters mission?"

It is better to ask forgiveness than permission.

Although I've no idea if I'll be getting involved, I would like to give Kudos to all those involved in arranging this contest for the simple matter of being able to enter outside of the US. I haven't been as concerned, but some of my fellow Europeans have been quite unnervered by the US-exclusivity as of late, and I don't like to see them upset.

Very nice work.

Please tell the Devs who will be doing the answering not to waste their time answering questions that are readily available and found in official announcement and FAQs like:

Will we be able to switch sides?
Are there new emotes?
Do I need a computer to play the game?

Let them ask in Player Questions and we can handle those.

I just hope this doesnt go like last one did. Where all the questions that get answered have been pre screened by marketing lol.

There is an interesting problem with this contest:

When you ask a question on Formspring, you only have 255 characters to ask it; with all the information and the boilerplate release that you have to post in the body of the question for the contest, that boilerplate alone is over 255 characters and there isn't any room for the question or even all of the information needed. The only way to actually get all of that information to them is the alternate way of entry (snail mail). Unless they have a way to disable that 255 character requirement on Formspring, the first method is basically impossible.

Ashes to ashes,

I was reading about the Eligibility and found this:

I am pretty sure I will not be attending this event as I did the last one, BUT I do have a suggestion to make it go better.

A few days before the event put out a "GR Fact List" detailing everything that you have released about the game to date. Then tell everyone in advance that you will not be answering any questions already answered on the list or not pertaining to the game.

This way we get "updated" on the game in advance AND we don't have questions to things we should already know about (or could have if we looked hard enough).

Anyways, just a thought.

Hello,

As you’re aware, we announced a Going Rogue Developer Q&A today where you can submit your questions on Formspring. A new twist we’re introducing this time is that we will be awarding up to three submitters a Razer Naga mouse. Unfortunately, as some of you have already noticed, Formspring’s word limitation does not allow you to submit your questions and all of the necessary information we require of you. We are currently working on another solution. In the meantime, we have disabled the CoH Formspring page.

We are planning to have a more functional method in place to allow you to submit your questions and enter the contest soon. We will be able to update you on Monday what that method will be. Until then, what I would ask is that you hold onto your questions for now. The Dev Q+A will still take place, and we will still be giving away prizes.

Thank you for your time and understanding!

Giving prizes for asking questions? That sounds like a great way to get word out! Good call

Yeah it's real. But the question is usually really simple, like (4 + 1) x 7 = ____. It's just a formality, it started over claiming lottery prizes if I remember right.

It's a formality that changes it from a game of chance (evil gambling) to a game of skill (do the math!). Yes, it was by chance you were picked, but you were picked at random to do the game of skill, which makes it a game of skill and not a game of chance, see?

Neither do I. It's a handwaving gesture designed to get around outdated laws which legislators and the public are too lazy to correct into something more reasonable and logical.

If you're a Canadian, do something about it.

this is correct for us canadians if for some weird reason like contest must include some skill ie skill testing question or some such.

Pretty odd I agree.
