It was double funny 'cause I was hearing the original version in the back of my mind while reading yours

Natural origin characters get bonuses with both of the powers.

Quote:Load has to do with resource utilitization. Which is highly dependent on the hardware (which has been upgraded many times), as well as what's running on the hardware. It's perfectly possible for a single person to put a server into the red by doing exactly the wrong thing.
Also, I noticed that server load before on Freedom was always yellow to full, now I noticed server load on all servers to be low.
Quote:Also, what's new in the new patch? -
Quote:That's quite unusual... generally / will point to /index.{html,htm,php,etc} by default if it exists...Huh, when I go here:
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/
I see "Welcome, AegisWolf." However, if I go here (or anywhere else on the forums):
http://boards.cityofheroes.com/index.php
I get the "Welcome, Sarrate." (as expected)
Curious. Never been a board admin before, so I can't really deduce why it would be doing that... unless the first link is pointing to a different database or something. -
Hm... I think it's calling us whoever is first on the list of the Currently Active Users... AegisWolf is the first on that list now, and before was Paladin... not sure about before that since I didn't check, but I'd be the other two were as well!

It's a glitch on the main page of the forums, see this thread about the same topic.

Quote:1.) This thread has nothing to do with that. When i log in and it goes to the character select screen i have five slots that i own that do not have a character created yet and i cannot access them it says unavailable??? Why would this happen if the store is down since i have paid for these slots?
2.) The store is down, so most likely it can't check to see how many purchase-but-unused slots you have. When the store comes back up, your unused slots will become available again.
3.) There's about a billion threads already on this topic. -

Mine now says Paladin instead of Aluminum_Dave

Quote:Just go to http://boards.cityofheroes.com and look at the top right... it'll probably say one of the two (it does for me).Hehehe.
I'd try for T but I guess I missed that window. No offence to Dave, but I know Major T, and I'd love to log in and see I've been promoted to him.

I always found the 'uncanny valley' to be things that look really freaking close to being human, but lacked anything even coming close to resembling facial expressions. I.E. they were just a moving photo.
This seemed to be a problem from around 4-6 years ago with CGI, but more recent stuff is far better. A good comparison is FF The Spirits Within to FF Advent Children. I enjoyed both myself, but when you compare the people in Spirits to Advent Children, you'll notice a huge difference in how human and realistic they feel. I could see how the people in Spirits would feel really creepy, as they look quite realistic but they lacked the technology to make them feel close to as human as they did in Children.
I don't think Spirits is the best example (I can't really think of any good ones right now), but I think it somewhat shows the point via comparison. Honestly the list on that page on TV Tropes seems really... random. -

fast paced AE group dynamics.
Edit:Quote:Maybe a solution would be a more global channel for team requests and more access to TPs. -
If you're talking about IO set bonuses, those can increase Accuracy globally. Basically, the formula looks like:
HitChance = Clamp( AccMods × Clamp( BaseHitChance + ToHitMods – DefMods ) )
Where 'Clamp' keeps it above 5% and below 95%. For most powers, having around 60% accuracy enhancement slotted in them is generally enough for most enemies. With some ToHit buffs on your character, you'll need less accuracy enhancements. -
Quote:Disabling XP merely disables XP, no bonus to Infamy or anything. The OP was talking about the new option with i16 to switch between earning XP while exemped, or earning Infamy in old-style (which does say double infamy in the little tooltip). My Searchfu is weak.
Wasn't there a red name post some time ago who explained that disabling Earning XP in the Options just meant that you weren't going to get XP and had nothing to do with Influence gain. Whereas exemplaring (via mentor or Ouroborus) converted XP not received or used to pay of Debt into Influence. -
Quote:Tab and Ctrl-Tab are binds.
I don't use binds at all. I just use Tab and Ctrl-Tab as they are provided in default state. -
Actually, I was wrong in my last post. I do use targetenemyprev quite a bit, via shift+tab and I'd simply forgotten. And it works exactly as one would expect as well: It goes from furthest enemy to closest in a loop, starting at the furthest if no target is selected.
And I just decided to spend a while testing both commands. Many Cimeroran Traitors lost their life in the name of SCIENCE!!!! today -
Quote:At the very least, targetenemynext should start with the closest (I don't use prev so not sure what it does) when none are selected.target_enemy_next and target_enemy_prev pick random people and then target normally from their (back or forward depending on the command). I have never, in my years of playing, gotten it to reliably choose the closest or furthest and then go from there.
I don't get why people always complain about the targeting system, it's always acted entirely as I'd expect... it targets the NEXT enemy distance-wise, not 'the enemy I'm thinking about' or anything magical. -
Quote:Oh yes, DELETING badges, that'll make people real happy! Not to mention, that's not the only issue that exists... but yes, lets pretend the Devs have a magic wand!A lot of the SFs I'm in people actually ASK for the mobs to be set to CL3 (which is +1 level now).
Why can't they just let things be, find a real fix, then delete the master badges from the people that did it since i16?
