I personally just want to see alt animations for MA which reflect different kinds of Martial Arts, (Kung Fu, Karate, Musangwe, Capoeira, etc.)
-
Okay, Here's one way I could see things pan out:
Zulu: Heroic zone only. Sorry, bros.
Villains (And possibly Praetorians) would get their own base Zones:
Widow's Peak An enormous synthetic landmass built from Grandville-style cables tying together hunks of floating rock.
Neuron City: A giant metal Colony of Praetorian Citizens, run by Neuron under Cole's Authority, this base was designed to gain a foothold in the Shadow Shard against Primal forces.
Cascade, Chantry, Storm Palace: They Become Co-Op...But the missions are widely different from alignment, and Rogues and vigilantes get their own specific contacts...Perhaps by then if Praets can get high enough, they could have their own "Imperial Investigation Team" Arcs where they either try to claim the Shard for Cole, or try to help the denizens of Primal Earth protect it from Praetorian Control. There could even be Moral choice arcs!
New PVP Zones: The Factory & The Repository: Heroes, Villains, and (if they can reach that level by then) Praetorians fight a four-sided battle (along with Chularn the Slave Lord and Kuularth the Scavenger) to gain control of the mighty Factory cubes and their powers, with separate Villainous, Heroic, and Praetorian iTask Forces to fight against Chularn the Slave Lord and Kuularth the Scavenger, respectively. Would be a zone that is intended for 45-50, but geared more toward Incarnates, as the monsters in the orange and red map areas are all at least 50. This would also give a place for Incarnates to smite each-other while the non-icarnates continue to wail on each other in RV.
New Co-Op Zone: Garden of Mirrors: Really only a Co-Op zone in name, Phasing will mostly separate alignments except for special circumstances (An Uuralur Zone Event/GM Fight), and is centered around characters trying to understand the origins and harness the powers of the mirrors, without being absorbed into Uuralur's power.
Possibly a new iTrial where the players must face all of the aspects of Rularuu, and maybe Rularuu himself! Would offer all slots experience, and Probably a guaranteed VR. Gods be crazy strong. -
Also Added: Magic Blast/Wand (Not sure which to use) & Laser

I personally think the Devs just harbor a secret hatred for Ollie Star.

Hrm...Seems a bit specific...Are you saying that these could only be slotted into specific Epic Pools? And if so, that means that that some of these "EIOs" would be pretty much exclusive to certain Archetypes. And what about PPPs?
-
I like this idea, but how would it work? use a slash command to set your next death animation?
On another note, I also saw a suggestion that took this a step further with a "Hazard Pool" Set, which was a pool power set which caused various effects (AoE Taunt, Damage, etc.) when you went down. -
These are cool. I'd love to play around with these.

In a word, my answer to the thread title: YES. I think maybe fully custom MM pets are impossible due to server load, but perhaps a wider array of looks for pets:
Mercs: Police, Military
Demons: Cthuhlu(ftaghn!), CoT Demons
Zombies: Frankensteinian constructs, skeletons, ghosts
etc. -
1) More powerset proliferation:
Pain Domination for Controllers and Defenders, Empathy for Corruptors and MMs (these two have no more thematic limitations since we can start any AT from either side now)
<While I don't particularly care for it, I can understand why you might want it.>
Snip
2) New IO sets, especially for areas like targeted AoE damage, which have fewer sets than they should. This includes Purple sets for Defense, Resistance, Fear, etc. The last sets that were added were the PvP IOs.
<I agree entirely. I want my purple Travel IOs!>
3) Since it's a wishlist, let's get a new AT or two in here as well: A (Buff/Debuff)/Melee AT and a Melee/(Buff/Debuff) AT.
<I have one on the AT thread in my sig that I came up with...Man I wish someone else could add their own AT suggestions to it. It's getting lonely...>
snip
6) Psychic Armor
<Yes. Plain and simple.>
snip
9) More alternate animations. C'mon Devs, even you know this was done of half-@$$ed. 4 new animations give to dozens of powers isn't what the players were asking for, and you know it.
<Fireworks Energy blast FTW!>
10) Do some balancing of the Ancillary/Patron Pools. Some of them are just laughably weaker than others for no reason.
11) Speaking of which, give us some new Ancillary Pools, and give blueside characters some way of opening up the patron pools without having to switch sides. I'd pay for that last one, actually.
<Or give them their own.>
snip -
Added Whip and Rifle pools.

Anybody actually read this? Or am I posting to myself?

@Talionis: YES! Thank you! You get it! the entire point of this was just for thematics. They're not meant to be as good as your basic powers, but to help round out characters and add to overall theme.
The street warrior who talks with his fists, but isn't afraid to pack heat.
The magician who has learned to hold his own in a sword fight.
A so much more! -

Yeah. I'm sorry, but while this is cool, it's really just a powerset & costume thing. And the anime-phobes would be up in arms if this made it as an AT. Sorry.

I agree. There is also a distinct lack of Native American pieces. And welcome to the forums!

Heheheheh...lulz. But can badges even be awarded in-engine for using an emote under a certain condition? Or would they have to code that in.
-
Come to think of it...You shouldn't be able to trademark the word "superhero", either. Anyone care to go give the geniuses who came up with that a smack?
-
Whatever we get...Omega Signature Powers FTW.
