I'd love to have no delay and be able to do a proper magical-girl transformation sequence.
For some reason I have it in the back of my head that they said long-ago (when I was still on the US servers), that there was some vague technical reason for the delay. I'm hoping that I'm just misremembering though, so

I liked the old Storm Kick....until it missed

I can't say that I've seen any more 'aggresive' behaviour recently; the only time I ever use ignore these days is after the third blind team invite, as I really don't want to keep clicking no to somebody who won't take it for an answer
Maybe you have just been unlucky.

Given that it's now the weekend, I just have to say this.

I just finished the Revenant Heroes story arc with my Blaster. If I couldn't have hit the hordes of PPs after Holding them so they couldn't MoG or Elude it would have taken me twice as long and been half as much fun.
So I think I'd like CC to remain just as it is, thank you very much. -
Yep GM Emily helped me out quite late the other night (though not quite that late), couldn't have taken more than 15 minutes from the time I sent the petition to her fixing it, and she was very polite too.

Can I make a point you may not have noticed?
This is City of Heroes. Not Warhammer, not WoW. If you don't like it, tough. Nobody is going to agree that dumping the Controller AT is a good idea.

So many people with /blinkers on. Are you not prepared to face the fact that CoH desperately needs to change if it's to compare with other games (*gasp* I said, "other games"! *oh noes*) which are the product of the evolution of the genre?
CoX is a great IP with a lot of really cool features and despite my criticism is a very successful veteran of the MMO space, I won't deny any of this for a moment. I do feel, however, that contemporary MMOs are looking at a more "freestyle" form of PvP, as opposed to the oldschool unfun /assist tanktrain (okay, I've heard of "pin and hold", but this is ridiculous!). Having abilities which totally lock down characters while they are beaten to death and incapable of escape (the "breakfree" argument simply doesn't cut it for several reasons not least of which is that you don't have an infinite supply), is not fun.

...and this is why CoX will never have balanced and fun PvP. When we look back at the game, it might even be seen as THE fatal mistake.

Yet another reason to dump PvP then... -
Relatively, personnaly and subjectively, I much prefer the Richard Cheese version of Sickness
-
In my mind, Kiken's theme has always been Get Wild by TM Network.
Moon Lee (MA/Regen) would go cheesy and pick Kung Fu Fighting by Carl Douglas
WildeChild would have to have Real Wild Child, the Joan Jett version. -
Been discussed many times. The official reason is that it's a security procedure; it means that if you leave your computer to get a drink or whatever, your bratty little brother (or whoever) can't just go to the selection screen and delete half your characters. (Unless you let them know your password of course, and then it's your fault for trusting the little brat
)

All I do is put my second tray powers on my Numpad(except for MMs, when the pet binds go there), put Target Nearest on the tilde key and put costume slots 1-4 on the arrow buttons.

Galaxy City was in fact added late in development for technical reasons: they where afraid the servers wouldn't be able to cope with the number of people starting. This is now considered a mistake. Not only did it use resourses that could be better alocated elswhere, it creates a poor first impression by making the game appear less populated than it really is.
[/ QUOTE ]
Which is why I still think they should combine the two into one big starting zone
The HQ building in Galaxy could become a lower level under City Hall, and the RV portal could be place there too.
The Galaxy Girl statue and its little park could replace the big car park behind City Hall, so it'd still have the same positioning of being behind the main building as it has now.
The zone size could be expanded to fit in all the little unique areas, and the duplicated industrial areas could just be merged.

Bah, but some of us anti-social types like starting in Galaxy City. I don't want my new alts running smack into a huge crowd of dancing heroes doing costume competitions.
Besides, I always start in Galaxy (ever since US beta, when a bug meant Mutant origins couldn't start in Atlas) and tradition should be carried on regardless of whether it actually makes sense! -
Of course, they could just leave the body types the same and give us gender-typed costume parts. You know, so I could make my homage to The Russian.

You know, I've always thought that if Billy Batson turned into Mary Marvel, it would be a lot harder for anybody to guess his secret identity...

Nice guide. I have to say that for me, at least half the time the name comes to me first and then the charcter. A few of my favourites are:
Night Shaft: TA/A Defender, deliberately chosen to sound both superheroish and slightly pornographic
Mustang Sally: Inv/SS Tank, stolen from a song because it sounds powerful.
Dr Beat: Sonic/Sonic Corruptor, again stolen from a song. (Was originally going to be from Florida and called The Miami Sound Machine, but I came to my senses)
Toledo Blade: DB/WP Scrapper, just because it sounded sufficiently Zorro-ish.
And, of course, Kiken my very first. Which isn't so much a name as a warning (it means danger or risk in Japanese).
A name is at least as important as costume for getting the concept of your character across. I have to admit, no matter how good the actual player may be, I tend to look down upon characters with poor names. (Of course, that may mean that a lot of people look down on my characters; just because I think the names are great doesn't mean others will.) But I much more appreciate it when people have at least put some effort into it.
