Quote:Fixed that for you.
But, in my opinion removing the restriction on unique names is a fantastic idea. I am very tired of not being able to use a name which fits a new character concept because "it is already taken" especially in a game which is 5 years old.
Just because you would be quite happy being one of seventy 'Fire Smashers', doesn't mean other people would. Would you also enjoy reading a comic where all the X-Men were called Cyclops? -
I don't know if they are still active (I moved over to the EU from the US) but when CoH started the Paragons of Justice had a 25+ policy. With most players being rather older. You could maybe try checking them through the Justice server page, if you don't find anything else.

I know there are a number of players in their 50s out there, but obviously I'm too polite to name names.
I'm just glad that they are there, to make me look young at 41 -
Quote:Or, of course, they could just get together and make their own teams. Seeing as there will be so many of them without.I said it earlier, everyone was "oooohhh...great" but now the gimps STILL need people to carry them, but now the hardcore players don't need them. It won't be long now before the gimps,RPers, and costume horses are gonna start complaining and try to get the Devs to force those dirty powergamers to invite them back to teams, and I'm gonna sit back and laugh.

Strangly, after reading this post this morning, I then went on to have a radio mission in Faultline where the door was actually the AE mission access.

All I can do is to echo what has been said here. After all, it's one thing knowing you are doing a good job. It's another actually getting told that it's appreciated. So, good job.
Now keep it up! -

Or, of course, if you really want those lvl 50s for your top level play, but still want bonuses when you exemp....you can always slot lower level sets in a second build. More expensive, I know, but having your cake and eating it generally is

Quote:I believe by level capped, in this instance, they mean 50Wait, wait, wait.... they still earn XP? I'd like to have this cleared up because the patch notes that I read seemed confusing about this. Will a level 49 earn XP playing at level 17 for example?
The reason it was confusing is because the line in the patch notes say:
"Exemplars will now earn XP and a level capped person will get XP converted into influence like exemplars used to."
So.... what's the difference between an "exemplared" person and a "level capped" person? Once you're exemplared down, aren't you by DEFINITION level capped to the level of the person owning the mission?
I is confuzzled. -
Obviously, nobody who isn't suicidal wants to risk getting busted...

I already had Brawl 6 slotted on my Tanker....

I play both, with the current roster having more females. (Although as alts get deleted and new ones made, that changes over time.)
50s are an even split...but due to chronic altitis that only means 2 male and 2 female -
I do the same as this. Except I don't buy the DOs and SOs with Inf. Doing an MA arc every 5 levels and buying them with tickets helps save that Inf for when you start buying IOs.

Whichever one I'm playing at the time.

Quote:Maybe some people will. But for me, I'm going to be so glad that it will be easier to make teams without needing to worry about who needs an sk or who isn't getting xp because they are exemped.Bridging was an unintended side effect of the SK/LK system. People used it to run Nemesis farms and level people rather quickly. They left it this way a LONG time. So long, in fact, that it has gotten its own term. Changing the system now, WILL cause attrition. There's no avoiding it. There are people who play that like leveling fast. There are quite a few who want to at least get to 20 so they can get stamina and not have to rest between battles. They want a fast-paced game, not a sit-in.

I'd like to see the Drink emote expanded to include different objects. Wine glass, cocktail glass, can. After all, they have different foods for the Eat emote.

The Freedom Phalanx can't be trusted with a headquarters. They didn't look after the last one they had properly.

Today I learnt that I don't have a costume good enough to win Inf

Sorry, it's the hat or a talking backpack.
The rifle just isn't an option. -
The only way I'd accept any form of PvP in the PvE zones is if I could opt out of it. Completely.
Zone invasion? If I'm not flagged to take part, I'm untargettable and can get on with doing my missions.
Dueling? As above. And having someone ask me to duel more than twice when I'm unflagged, in any chat channel, in any form, gets them an automatic 3 day ban on petitioning.
As long as I get to ignore it pretty much entirely, unless I feel like it, I'm all for PvP. Which, funnily enough, is exactly how the game stands now.
