it seems both are quite the same but for having duelled with a ninjutsu friend it seems that Kuji is faster to recharge
could somenone tell me if i'm correct?
if yes what is the trick? i mean if me with hasten + quickness i recharge Elude(that is slotted with 3 time recharge) slower than my friend's kuji that hove only hasten (and 3 time recharge in kuji too) does kuji have a drawback a weaknees i did not spot? -
i read everything (and not sure i got all the point, to bad to be french ^^)and as far as i'm concerned ithing that unbalance is not a myth.
true that a good villain player ca equal a good hero player i must admit that i made my point with my own PvP expereience, i don't know exactly damage cap of each side or def/buff potential % (i don'tlike math ^^) but generally i find hero AT more.. hum.. better at what they are supposed to do and some seems clearly too polyvalent.
villain AT seems to be the some of too hero one for exemple brute have damage of rava and def of brute. i can seem strongonhte paper but in pratic it mean nobody to tank and in duel and PvP i saw too much rava and even blaster tearing apart a brute.
more over it seems that hero seems to have more tactical option in term of build, ice tank can equal a dominator; healer can be defendeur or controleur... vilain are more rigid in their pool (sitll it is what i feel from my playing experiences).
i could talk about regen ravabut forme blaster show what i mean greatly. in warburg ice blaster immo better than my ice full SOed dominator.
they do betterdoamge at range than blaster and whil you could thing that melee is the best option to get ried of then it appear that with aim+ bu and a foca or other strong melee attack they can 2 shoot almost everything (assuming they it, true).
i think that an AT shouldn't have as much effectivness in role so different.
secondly don't know why but compared to my CoH experiences, i find villain AT too much end heavy. i mean while on a sr screpper icould fight a little without stamina, i see on stalker side that only running the toogle suck off xp.
so where on a side stamina is a question of comfort on the other is appears as an obligation to many (too many) build.
to finish 2 AT of the villain AT can be negated in PvP i mean domi are clearly underpowered and if the boost dev plan to give them is like hum... their PPP's they will be totatlly useless in level 50 PvP as every villain will get a hold. (PPP that i clearly am against cause it tend to geive possibilityto villain AT that should be other AT job - see the blaster exemple part)
the second will be the stalker as they seem to rely too much on furtivity and ability to choose their fight for being effective and aloready in siren and war it seems that almost every body can spot them at miles. so withtheir low life they are easy target - not to mention that i tend to make AN AS almost impossible so take them their more high damage attack ans placate seems to not permite to place it during a scrappy fight anymore.
all to say that i clearly see unbalance on the vilain and the hero AT. i can be wrong and am opened to discussion if polite and constructive.
i wanted to post cause when i read all the tread i saw (or had the wrong impression, it can be possible) that _NORTON_ point had been eluded andhe was pointing the dom prob that was a good point i think. -
depend of your playing style.
for PvE if you level by "only killing the boss" newspaper mission (also known as "ninja style" or "how-to-complete-5-mission-in-8-minutes" ^^) and if you groupe with a kin or rad corr for exemple, endurance should not be a problem.
for PvP if you hit and run as it seems you are going to play with tp bah... you should not need it too. mine don't have and i can kill 2 or 3 before having to rest (i put one end reduce in each attack)
if you intend to stay and scrappe you will need stamina. -
yesterday their was a PvP event on vigilance.(it was sooo grooovy)
in warburg i saw a thing that amazed me.
i was in the base next to the helicop and i saw a atank in stone armor running throug the base (at the speed of an iceberg ) no less than 8 villain were hitting him trying to stop him. nothing seemed to be able to take him down. at one moment he took 2 AS and then hop he healed for 1200 life O_o and all was to begin again. he was hiited continualy for 2 minutes and at the end the only thing that saved his target it was that i tp him back again and again.
so is the stone armor of brute the same as that?? O_o -
it depend how you intend to play it. if you will hit and run so fitness is not needed. for longer battle you will need need or you will need a end reduc in each attack.
if i were you i would take call trop (very usefull for heros taht flee)
i would take blinding powder instead of smoke flash
here is why: (read and choose)
"Smoke Flash - PBAoE Placate. Sounds good at first, yet has a lot of issues. First of all, this does not pseudo-hide you - meaning it can only be used as an escape means and not offensively. Second, it is an AoE attack which means it is not as accurate. Third, it has long activation time. All that considered, I think an additional travel power choice or Phase Shift or even simple defensive power might be a better investment in terms of escape. If you do decide to take this, you want to 3 slot is with ACC most likely.
Blinding Powder - An arc AoE attack that is essentially a confuse and a sleep in one. However, I am not sure if the confuse on it works properly - even after numerous Arena tests. Regardless, Sleep is what makes the power nice in first place anyway. This is a good power to have - especially considering that it is ranged and EM is melee-only set, so it compliments extremely well. It is very nice to have an offensive capability from a Stalker secondary - a ranged sleep, no less, at that. However, due to its AoE nature, it is not too accurate, so it needs to be slotted with 3 ACC to be effective in PvP. I suggest taking BP if you can." -
bah like you said it's weird cause in a non fight i mean if i stand near a heros and placte him it seems to work. but when in fignt at the same distance with no queued attack he said i am still targetable like i did not used placate :/

SR has +perception in focused senses so he could still see you also with the reduced stealth in placate now (75% stealth in placate)
[/ QUOTE ]
i know that.but, hidden or not placate has the purpose to ùake the user untargetable by one target for some sec. (not to hide him).
and it's clearly not the case. he still can hit me. that's the prob cause with a drain or a fear always ready, using placate for placing an AS is now impossible?
so what use have placate now? i mean i take a power slot and as far as i'm concerned no it do't worth to take it instead of an attack (which stlaker lack IMO)

What you expect tobe hidden from everyone?
HAHAHAHAHA *cough cough* silly Stalkers...

very interesting intervention, really. but not the point and not even a bit funny. -
i do some thread necromancy cause i really need advices.
today in bloody i had a fun duel with a dark/sr rava
the duel was very srappy like i like them but my problem is that it seems it became impossible to use placate effectively
i placated him 6 or 7 time, half the time he was able to attack me still. other half i tempted to place an AS just after the placate and everytime he was interupting it by a punch or a drain or a fear and that was not queued attack
so if placate don't make us untargetable ( remember you now are seen by every body whith placate) what use doest it have?
i mean AS was really totally useles in this figth i did fight with only punch lunge and impal. how i am supposed to take down a foe with that? -
it seems that you don't make a difference between good sense and people who cry in PvP O_o
amazing -
bah you know the next time i will do as everyone do ans will AS the first one and kill the second and wait before the base for they will not be able to complete their mission... hurray.
i though that hte kill on sight map was warburg.
i had a lot of time fair night fght at siren , by fairplay i speak about respect for dueller, if a people say afk and that i find him i don't AS (useless) and if mob are involved both hero and villain solves the prob.
i even was once asked to AS a hero in order to prevent him from detting (by the way afeter the AS i got killed by the mob he was trying to avoid, was nota good plan :/ )
on all other case it is a kill on sight PvP like everybody does.
it's notlike putting some rules in PvP it's more like keeping some rules in order both side enjoy.
just to say that seeing hero stabing in the back someone that help us is not a very heroic way of playing ^^
next time i will not help i think. -
there is not one way to play a stalker. the hit and run trick is for hit and run optimized build of for if you did not take any secondary power pool to backup you.
i personnaly play it as a scrapper.
i AS the first one then use my move to fight bu t being at melee range only when I attack.
i took a heal for surviving and and a fear to immo some annoying mob.
moreover a lot of stalker don't slot their defensiv power so it's why the rehiding time is so long as you get it by everything. i can stay a while in small group without being hitted as i put 3 defense in all my shield. -
yes. why not?
moreover i am a stalker ^^
when it's late and when i am in the mood yes. playing a vilain just mean you prefere the AT or power not that you are a --censored-- ^^
there were 2 defender trying to destroy a base and i know that for defender it's dificult to deals damage quickly forhaving played one myself so..
but i assume that the way i got "rewarded" leads to the fact that such behaviour tends to disappear.. -
all is in the title ^_^
i look for all the tricks/powers available to protect yourself against life and end. drain. -
PvP don't mean to be stupid.
ifyou say clearly that you duel. comming in theduel is not PvP. it's being annoying or stupd or whatever;
i helped tonigh a team of heros at bloody. there were having hard time with the meteorite mission (base destruction part).
i ask them "want help" they say "yes".
i destroy 2 bases defense and help them to finish thelast one. and see them, while i was sitting one the floor and congrtulating them, turning there power one me and kill me.
and after they say, it's a pvp zone.
sorry maybe like the guy who made this post i am a naiv person to think taht fairplay is important but this exemple was not PvP. -
what is the difference between the toggle shield and the auto one?
i mean for exemple Focused Fighting and dodge have thesame purpose: protection againt melee attack.
but do they protect the same amount/way?
can i take only the auto, which have the great advantage of being impossibble to untoggle, for PvP? -
it has been already said but, great work
-
na there are overpowered... bla bla bla bla... not fair... blablabla... nerf them blablabla
-
so fast healing if i don't take stamina or even with health fast healing is a "to have power"?
-
bah only one that pass through is enough ^^
luck my friend, is a power non slottable power ; ) -
last question, what is the usefullness of resilence and fast healing.
resilience does really protect against stun or BF are enough?
instead of fast healing heal self would be better? i mean it's a heal and it is faster than reconstruciton in recharge time.
can i drop the 2 to take a secondary pool?
i hesitate between medecine (another heal so longer life time ^^) and leadership (fear protection, more damage (good for claws) and more acc and possbility to see other stealth player which regen set lack)
-
ah ok.
sniff then ^^
hum so it worth nothing to slot for exemple stamina 5 or 6 time?
does anybody ever played a without fitness claw/regen in PvP that could tell me how longi could scrapp?
