It has been happening since the BM was placed there and I bugged this for 2 Issues after the markets were introduced. I can imagine it's low on their priority list.

Quote:Wish the post I made with the exact times/ numbers for each run on Training Room was still on the boards because defeating scrapyarders did nothing to hasten his spawning in.According to my observations, there is prespawn event, where scrapyarders spawn inmasse and are proceeding to one of Ghost of Scrapyard's spawning points. Ghost of Scrapyard will be spawn after their quantity at such spawning point reaches some critical mass. It seems that such activity is continuing to take place even after GoS spawned, so after droning GoS, it is possible to respawn GoS again in the same group of scrapyarders in about minute or so. I'm not sure whether you need to drop number of scrapyarders below critical mass and let them reach critical mass again or you can leave them as it is.
The pre-spawn gathering does appear before he does, but there is no way to cause that to occur, or make it occur faster, by defeating scrapyarders. -
Quote:Did several tests on this a while back on the Training Server. Ghost of Scrapyard is on a timer; he would spawn on average within 10 to 15 minutes regardless of whether zero miners or 200+ miners were defeated. In my experience, killing the protesting miners in Port Recluse area will spawn Ghost of Scrapyard. While helping my friend to get these badges for multiple toons, we were able to spwan him every 5-10 mins or so.
Even had one run where I droned him and he respawned immediately, so no amount of miners were defeated and he spawned. -
Quote:Here is a post by the Developer BackAlleyBrawler discussing the reasons: Walk Power ImprovementsI'm sorry if this has been answered by a developer before. In fact, I'm wondering whether or not a developer has addressed this...
I'm curious as to why combat powers are disabled while the newly-created Walk power is toggled on.
From what we have right now, we can do all emotes when Walk is active. The idle stance is independent of Walk status and we can jump normally regardless of Walk status. We can also activate the Architect Entertainment power thingy while Walk is enabled.
So what is preventing the developers from allowing us to have our combat toggles on during Walk? Or even use combat emotes?
Is it a balance issue?
The only thing that comes to my mind are powers that modify the character's movement speed. There are not too many of those powers. Why not JUST disable those instead of everything? -
Might be related to a bug report I put in [before the Winter Event]. When Exemplared, the proc fires but does not apply any buffs.
The Combat Attributes don't change, and the Buff Icon only appears at the top for a very brief time (less than 1 second unlike the non-exemplared 5 seconds).
Outside of Exemplar everything works as expected (healing delivered chat message, combat attributes and buff icon).
Edit: just tested and it appears the bug I reported is fixed [with the Winter Event going live]. Everything works as expected; exemplared as well. -
I'll agree with all the others on "use your inspirations!"
Pop a Break Free inspiration right after using an Awaken and you can move and react right away. I always keep a Break Free to pair with an Awaken on me.
Also, you can combine 3 of the same type inspiration to make 1 other inspiration of the same size (tier); right click on one of the inspirations to see the conversion list. This works even when defeated (useful if you've died with a full tray and need to make room, or make an Awaken <cough>, see point one above.) -
Welcome to the game!
Most of what I was going to say has been mentioned already.
Here's one I can add: there's a "City" Tab on your map that will show the locations of the zones in the city, and their connections and train routes to them (well, except for the new trains to Founders Falls and Skyway). -
If I hit them while they are doing a "green cloud of magic smoke" animation, even from range, they tend to open with an attack rather than a summon, but any Death Shamans that are just walking / standing summon first chance.
Haven't checked this to see if it's 100% repeatable, and most times I hit them with a hold / stun / KB when I can. -
As mentioned the Fuzzy hat is obtained through a Gift, or through purchasing.
In the Costume creator, under Head > Hats, it is called Stocking Cap, but there are 2 items called Stocking Cap. If you have the Winter event Stocking Cap it is at the very top of the list (when I look at a female body type), whereas the other Stocking Cap appears between Do-rag and Death Beard (and is a 'flat' knitted cap).
Also, the Furry Boots and Gloves are restricted by some costume parts (like no Furry Gloves with Sleeved Jackets, no boots with 'pants'), and are called Santa Gloves and Santa Boots.
Edit to add: For completeness, the Ear Muffs are available under the Head > Standard and Head > Masks with Hair: Detail 1 (just under Headband Wings), and Head > Full Masks: Detail 2 (just under Headband Wings). -
Oh, and when you ask, ask about Enhancements not 'Enchantments'.
-
This is what I've noticed, and the buff icons show how many are stacked on yourself. For example, I had 3 "Gift of Energy" icons which corresponded to myself and the 2 teammates near me.

Quote:I remember somewhere someone or something saying something about a special power pool when you hit level 40. Do I have to go somewhere special? I didn't see it on the power pool selection when I leved up.
Hero-side: Ancillary (Epic) Power Pools
Villain-side: Patron Power Pools
PS: If you are villain-side you can start working your way toward a patron at 40 by seeing Arbiter Rein -
For protection controllers can choose the Epic Pool : Psionic mastery > Indomitable Will.
For resistance you can get some from a Tier 2 or 3 Empowerment station (60 min at a time):
Disorient Resistance
Also sets: Sets that improve Stun Resistance -
Watch the Healing Delivered chat channel for the message. Also, you can see it in Combat attributes, and there is a new [pink] icon that appears as well when it procs.
-
A few thoughts to narrow it down in future:
- Was it mixed team (villain / hero)?
- What faction was the team leader?
- What faction was the mission holder (if a mission was selected that wasn't the leader's)? Was it from a different faction than the leader? Was it a co-op mission or villain / hero specific?
- What factions, if mixed, weren't getting rewards?
-
According to BackAlleyBrawler it's fixed, and should be working its way into a new build:

Father Time in the Chalet gives the Winter Event mission only when the Chalet is open.
DJ Zero gives the Spring Event mission "Defeat Snaptooth", and as long as you have him as an active contact he will give you the mission all year round (max 10 times). -
Quote:It is a sync issue when the server shards you are zoning between have different server times. (was it Ghost Falcon that announced it when they figured it out?)All of a sudden, my powers are turning off when entering and leaving missions which is dangerous as some attack you at the door leaving or entering missions. This has been happening with my tank RobotDeciminator and caused me to lose an ambush battle and the fact that they had a sapper and I was distracted didn't help either.
Is there a way to stop this from happening? It just causes me to lose some battles that I may have won otherwise, causing debt I shouldn't have and affecting my influence which affects a lot actually.
Any solutions?
Anyway, when it happens it's worth doing a /servertime for the shards (zones) affected and if it is different on both sides, then include it in a /petition. -
Quote:You can enable it from Options > General Tab > Pets : at the top is "Show Pet Window Option".Whilst watching some of the vids that you all do I have noticed that some trollers and doms have their pets displayed like a mm does. How the heck do you do it, the only time I did this was when I swapped from a mm to my crab, and I thought it must just be a bug.
Sorry if I am having a blonde moment, but just had to ask
Enable that and you can open the Pet Window by clicking on "Pets" on the outer edge of the Team Window. -
Quote:Ya, in my testing I've learned one thing for sure.. you never get mezzed when you want to!This is the kind of bug that sucks. Maybe it's only a specific type of mez, maybe it's only Build Up from one powerset, maybe it's only one AT that does this. feh.
Anyway, can't seem to replicate it with Rikti Mesemerists but did manage to get mezzed after BU, and also got the proc to fire while under holds and sleeps, with no problems firing back.
Guess I'll have to find some helpful Wisps while running around in the Shard, and next time it happens I'll save the logs. -
Quote:The attacks definitely didn't fire; no damage to the target, icons never greyed out, even if the animation/ graphics weren't visible.I have one immediate thought: are you sure the attack didn't fire? I have seen quite a few situations where I launch an attack and the ANIMATION does not play. This can be caused by all sorts of circumstances. Did you check the combat log to see what, if anything, it reported?
I'll try to replicate it ( find a mezzer, hit BU and click away), record the combat logs and do a /bug on it. Just seeing if anyone else encountered this, and a heads up to watch for it. -
Yesterday my blaster ( Energy/ Elec ) was facing some Nemesis and hit Build Up just before being stunned and was unable to use the any of the tier 1 and 2 primary, or tier 1 secondary, powers until the build up wore off (stun effects were still running). I chalked it up to lag perhaps but noted it being strange since the character would play a 'twitch' animation any time I tried to fire.
Just now playing a different blaster (AR/ Elec) and was held by a Rularu Wisp. I was firing my tier 1 and 2 powers normally until my Decimation Chance for BU proc fired in my Burst, and I was unable to fire for the duration of the BU. Again, once the BU was finished I continued firing normally while still held. The character would play a 'twitch' animation any time I tried to fire as well.
In neither case was I exemplared/ flashbacked or SK'd (playing solo both times).
Anyone else notice this? -
Model Rectifier Corporation? Massive Rectal Contusion?
If you were a villain he may have been asking if you were a mercenary Mastermind? -

Bug: When a Martial Arts/Shield scrapper has his shield out, none of the custom Martial Arts animations play. If you chose any of the punch animations, your character reverts to using the kicks (although using the correct FX colors). This is not related to Ninja Run. With the shield away, my guy still throws punches while Ninja Running. -
Quote:Yes, it works this way. I just set auto-demote to 15 days, left the Superleader logged off for the 15 days the first character I logged on after the 15 days was up was promoted to Superleader.I believe it passes to the next one to log in but I'm not 100% certain about that. Also, as a simpler solution you could set the autopromote time as low as possible and pass leadership that way.
Edit to add: Issue 14 patch notes:
Quote:In an effort to bring more supergroup management powers to players, we have recently developed a new Super Group Rank #6, named 'Super Leader'.
Here is a list of what Super Leader can do:
- Super Leader has all permissions available to leaders.
- Super Leader can modify permissions of leaders, and can demote or promote any rank.
- Super Leader can promote another leader to their position, and self demote themselves back to Leader rank.
- Super Leader position can be named to be in line with SG/VG tastes and motif.
- Super Leader position will always be filled by an active user and Rank 5 leaders will no longer be demoted unless the SL designates.
- Super Leader will be auto-demoted if inactivity period set by permissions is reached.
- The highest ranking member with the most recent log-in time will be auto-promoted once Super Leader position is vacated.
- Super Leader can pass leadership to a Rank 5 Leader at any time as long they are online, this transfer of leadership occurs in the SG/VG screen.
- There is a confirmation screen before this transaction occurs to eliminate errors.
- Customer Service can promote any on-line player to the Super Leader position, if the petition warrants such action
- There is only one Super Leader.
