No rewards at all?

Ran into something funny tonight. I was on a team raiding the Rikti mothership, and I didn't receive a single Merit. Or inspiration. Or enhancement. I wasn't even getting influence. Has anyone seen that happen before?

I'm level 50, so I don't expect to earn xp. I don't think I was exemped down, but even if I was that shouldn't cancel all rewards. If anything, it should double my inf. And I was certainly defeating things. I was on a scrapper, and I was whaling away at Rikti, and doing damage, and defeating them. But I didn't get a single reward of any type.

After the raid was over, I went off and solo'd a couple more Rikti. Nothing.

I quit the team and solo'd one more Rikti: bam, I got influence, prestige, and an inspiration. The first rewards I'd seen all night.

I'm a tiny bit miffed about the merits, because I really want to buy the rest of the costume pieces, but mostly I'm just puzzled. I've never heard of that happening before.

EDIT: And yes, I do have the Vanguard badge thingy. I've earned merits before. I have some merits on me right now. I just couldn't earn any during the raid. Not one. Other people on my team did earn merits, and plenty of them.

What level was the leader of the team you were on? If you were exemplared, is it possible to be exemped too low to get rewards, just like if you are too high level for the enemies?

u was mean and called him names to that GM, so he declare that you get nothing from them in the raid

I can't think of any intended game mechanic that could cause that. I would conclude that this is a bugged effect of the supersidekicking system. Unfortunately, as this is the first report I've seen of something like that, I think this bug will be extremely hard to track down.

Here's an interesting thought:

Was anyone on your team below 35? Since you can enter the RWZ at any level now, it might be that having someone under 35 on the team breaks rewards since they aren't eligble for Vanguard Merits.

A few thoughts to narrow it down in future:

• Was it mixed team (villain / hero)?
• What faction was the team leader?
• What faction was the mission holder (if a mission was selected that wasn't the leader's)? Was it from a different faction than the leader? Was it a co-op mission or villain / hero specific?
• What factions, if mixed, weren't getting rewards?

It was a mixed team. I don't remember the leader's AT or faction. Other people on the team were getting merits. I brought it up on team chat and some people didn't respond at all, but the ones who did were all receiving merits at a normal rate.

Anyhow, after that raid, I hung out for a bit, solo, earning normal rewards, then joined another team for the next raid. There was some overlap in membership, but it was a different team. Exact same thing happened. As soon as I joined the team, I stopped getting rewards. Halfway through the raid, I disconnected. When I got back on, I just stayed solo. I earned normal rewards that way.

After the raid was over, I hooked up with a friend just for a few seconds. On that team, I was earning normal rewards again.

I guess it's just a weird bug. Frankly, I hope I'm never in a situation to study it again, but if I am I'll try to experiment some more.
