I'll be staying on Union, as the majority of my friends are there as are my SG's - which I've been working on for way too long to feel like starting them all over again somewhere else.
I tried a few of the other servers but none of them really felt like 'home'.
Can't quite believe that it's been 4 years already -

Quote:I've noticed that recently too. The folks of Paragon generally just used to say "Nice day, isn't it!" apart from the ones that gave you the time and such. Now they say all kinds of fun and interesting thingsYes, but now they have much more and different things to say, like my screenshot shows.
I was beginning to think that Paragon was just filled with Nemesis Automatons and all the 'real' people had moved to the Isles and Praetoria! -
Quote:8pm GMT = 3pm in the afternoon EDTHmmmm that's 1 AM EDT right?
I'd love to come and hang around but it might be just a wee bit to late...
I guess we'll have to see if I am awake enough to come.
Edit: I'm going to go ahead and blame work. My brain was thinking backward, I'm too use to calculating for PST >_>
I definitely can't make it then I'll be running the Virtue Blue raid. =( -
Trying to copy my character Darkleaf from Union across, all I get is "Character name Invalid" repeatedly.
-
I shall be there with Nanny Flambeau and her cook book
Also, does anyone know if Rogues Radio would perhaps like to do a Steampunk music set for the event? Just so we don't have to listen to DJ Zero all night -
Quote:I'm aiming to start about 10am on the Saturday morning, and finish around 4pm on the Sunday (or whenever folks get bored and want to go home). That's looking good to me - thanks for mentioning it.
Anyone out there able to say what times it's planned to start/end?
Not sure yet if a few folks would like to meet up on the Friday night and maybe go to Wetherspoons or somewhere (needs wheelchair access if I'm going). -

Quote:I stayed at the Macdonald Burlington hotel last year, and all I can say is: Don't stay there unless you can sleep through the noise of air conditioning units going on and off 24/7. They were very loud and kept me awake the entire weekendMy advice for accommodation: don't stay at the Travelodge Birmingham Central. Based on my stay there for the Omega Sektor meet it's an utter dump and you will only get about an hour's sleep if you are lucky. When the hotel's own website even warns you that "there may be some street noise" you better damn well believe there will be street noise, even if you are on the 6th floor.
I think if the noise had been continuous it wouldn't have been too much of a problem, but they were switching on and off every few minutes.
Their idea of a 'disabled/wheelchair access' room involved a step outside in the hallway too, and a bath so narrow that sitting down was almost impossible! -
Quote:Thanks for the recommendationIf you're central in Brum, and are looking for refreshment, I can very heartily recommend the Wellington as a place to quench your thirst.
A rather excellent selection of beer (no idea about the lager situation) however they do no food. Additionally, the only big screen displays the beer list rather than footy.
The Pork Scratchings (forget being healthy) are to die for. Honest...

I've a feeling I'll be dining at least one night at the Wetherspoons that's across from the old Omega Sektor building. I know it's a Mc Pub, but their veggie food wasn't actually too bad last time, and they serve a nice coffee -
Slightly more expensive at £199 for 2 people for 3 nights, but it was the only one I could find with a disabled room and I will be staying from the Friday night to Monday morning, is the Premier Inn. It's also fairly close to Global Gaming. I know a few other folks have booked to stay there as well.
They also apparently do late night pizzas to your room o.O -
I hope they visit all the instances of Pocket D afterwards, and not just Pocket D 1... There's more than 8 instances at the moment.
-
I'd really like the option of using the Classic Steampunk 2 belt with the Magic Bolero top
-
At last... a use for those puffy shorts

Clicking the Pocket D Transporter icon for the very first time and wondering what exactly it did. Then I couldn't find the exit from the Tiki Lounge for ages and panicked thinking I was going to be stuck in there forever. Then trying to figure out what exit to take (Villain side) and not knowing which was a low level zone or how to get back to Mercy and accidentally leaving through the St Martial door. It took me hours to finally manage to get to the ferry, past all the wailers, and choose another zone. I ended up exploring a fair chunk of Cap au Diable on my way back to Mercy lol.

Is there any ETA on when we'll be able to use the Character Copy Tool to transfer characters from Union, Defiant, and the other two EU servers to Test yet please?
Zwillinger said " A fix is in progress at this time and an update on the status of character copy should be provided on Friday 5/20." -
Standing in front of the doors at the train station in Atlas Park watching the destinations scrolling overhead and waiting for the right one to appear to where I needed to go, and panicking when it didn't. My friend had to tell me to click on the doors and pick the destination from the list. I'd assumed it was like a proper train where you got on and it would stop at all the stations listed in order

I'd personally love to be able to use the new corset and bustier top underneath a trenchcoat.
-
Here's Nanny Flambeau. 'Her' outfit isn't quite right as there's no option for a sleeveless jacket, so as a consequence she's got a white tank top and shirt sleeves. (None of the shirt options I found matched the sleeves
)
-
Wish we could have the corset option with a trenchcoat, or the sleeveless jackets.

Quote:This brings back memories of living in Tipton... Took me 6 months to realise what the lady in the corner shop was asking me!Yow day worra bay coomin' boy 'ere, als yowm gunna bay loit fower yow tay!
"Ow am ya?" translated "How are you?"
Also I believe yours says "You don't want to be coming by here, else you're going to be late for your tea!" I think? -
Quote:As of now Dearest Techbot, the pack seems to be available to EU peeps, since I can log in to it and try it out.
Hmm.. I just logged in to the EU Test and it doesn't seem to be available to meThere's only one other server in that list I can log in to, and that also doesn't seem to have the pack on it.
Maybe I'm just doing something wrong -
I've got Nanny Flambeau, the cook from the Steampunk Space Pirates.
She's a cross between Nanny from Count Duckula and Clarissa from the Two Fat Ladies.
I'll see if I can come up with anything. She's a frightening woman, as I used the Huge body type to make her more... woMANly
