  2. I've been dealing with this for ages, but someone suggested I post here anyways, just in case there is a fix. Its a long story, but I can't touch type QWERTY, only Dvorak, so that's what my keyboard is software mapped to through the OS. This works fine for typing in CoH, but if I want to bind keys, I have to use the QWERTY assignments. Okay, fine, I can look down and see what the key says.

    The only thing this refuses to work with, is copy and paste. Neither the 'hardware' C and V or the 'software' C and V work to copy and paste. Any brilliant ideas, oh tech forum readers and/or Devs?

    If I had to design the image, I would drop the pinpoint between the hands and go with something like a ring of distortion at about his wrists in diameter and his hands together, but since I know if I were having to make this image I would have no freaking idea how to do that, perhaps instead of straight radial lines from the pinpoint have ripples? The straight radial lines, especially with more on the edge that don't go all the way to the center give me the impression of energy focused in towards the pinpoint rather than out from it.
  5. I'm not exactly an artist but if you can get a copy of Illustrator, you can make nice clean lines, I use it for cel shade art but if you play with line thicknesses and all it should work nicely. I'm back on CS2 and will cling to it until some future OS no longer runs it

    Virtue Or VIP

    I expect the 'VIP' server to be quickly full of people who like to proclaim 'you're playing wrong' so I will likely grab a name or two in case friends go to play, but I will stay on Virtue as my server of choice. Please let me know what cool names you are freeing up if you decide to move to VIP, thx
  7. I think with your explanation it was hinted at, and I figured it had something to do with the headband, though at that resolution it was only a guess that the girl in the picture had a headband My best guess was that the girl in the picture was a younger version of Mv, actually.

    The only changes ever made to Jae(Wyld Fyre)'s costume were the changes Cryptic at the time made to her shorts and belt. She got a change in face when we got the one with freckles and her /energy switched to blue instead of pink with power customization, but she still wears her same outfit 7 years later.

  15. Not sure if you were aware, but the 4/26 patch introduced a hellaciously overzealous word filter into AE and rendered a ton of people's arcs unplay/unpublishable. Only in todays patch was the first pass at fixing it implemented, so that may have impacted submissions, I know I was going to toss mine in for the hell of it but only today was able to get it published, I'd expect it will pick up in June for you guys
  16. I use AE to further character plots that work better in a scripted environment or events that are best done not in real time. Are they insightful deep arcs? Nope. Do they make sense to people outside my RP group? Sometimes. Would I ever spend 80 hours on a single AE arc? F--- no, that's not what its about for me, more than 3ish and I'm seriously doing something disastrously wrong

    If you want to do so, and market your arc, aim for recognition, try to get it into the hands of reviewers and make it to the front page, that's awesome, but a whole lot of us just use it casually, on one off arcs for an SG night or character backgrounds and never visit the forums. I admit I'm only here because of the filter issue....we all care about AE as a resource, way more than our own specific content, but its not our number one....sometimes not even in our top 5...concern regarding the game, so while we may not be vocal, yeah, we do care about it

  18. Since its not mentioned, but was said in the thread about it, a preliminary fix is in place for the ridiculous overactive word filter in AE. If your arc was broke due to copyright/profane violation errors, it might be fixed now, if not post the blocked words that shouldn't be in the topic in the Mission Architect forum.
  19. Eva, try clicking on each mission tab, that should trigger what words are coming up invalid
  20. So...I'm out picking up new exploration badges and nothing on Monster Isle or Monkey Island seems to be there. I don't have them, there is no badge marker, Vidiot and Titan agree on the coordinates, but......no badge.

    Anyone else run into this?
  21. About the bug...someone somewhere probably looked and said 'hey...we have two filters, wouldn't it save time by combining them?' The devs looked around and thought about this and went 'probably'. They did it, and tested it, and maybe even put in on test where little to no AE arcs reside/are regularly checked and then deployed it, regarding it as a backend organizational change, and not affecting the players so patch notes not needed. And it failed in the live environment. And we told them, and they are working to fix it.

    About AE as a 'thing'.....as a coder for a consumer product, I can tell you its NOT always about money. A lot of times its a list of 1000 problems/improvements, which get ranked by how many people they affect/benefit. When datamining says Feature A has 500 users and Feature B has 6000 users....making 6000 users for Feature B happy is better for morale, better for revenue, and better for the users than potentially getting 500 more users for Feature A if you work on it. Would you like to work on Feature A? Yeah, of course, but when you don't have the manpower or time....you go for the most benefit you can for your time.

    I will, no kidding, pay extra for that. My very first, seven year old imported from a pen and paper game still using the same costume since I0 character was going to get a costume change, using the female victorian steampunk jacket with Bandeau Sleeve and Sleeves for gloves. I will shamelessly beg for you to let me do that, on knees, with flowers, with money, and anything I can reasonably manage.

    Emphasis mine. The didn't 'mess with it' for no reason. Its easy to read between the lines. They made changed to the filters based on wanting to adjust the character creator restrictions, and as an unintentional side effect...likely because the MA filter is directly inherited from the Character Creator filter....its blocking things in MA that are only meant to be blocked in character creation.
