"Tales of the Justice Corps.: The Omega Strain"
It serves as something of an introduction to the personalities and history of the Justice Corps., from the point of view as you-a-new-recruit.
"The 5th Column have freed a foe of the original Justice Corps. from his prison, and now he has begun a campaign of terror against the new Corps. and all heroes! Prepare to face the Steel Skull as he unleashes a genocidal plan he has held on to since World War II!"

Not Your Normal Chaos Theory
Arc ID: 478741
You receive a letter from an "S. Wolf" asking you to help find someone. What follows is a hunt for clues while fending off Arachnos agents, Circle of Thorns minions and a low grade cosmic horror.
Throughout, you will slowly discovery how one of Paragon's many super heroes turned to villainy, then came back again.
While it's got a bit of a dramatic streak, I tried to mix in some comedy to keep it a bit lighter.
Despite the first map being a bit large it plays through pretty quick. The story is primarily told through Clues, but I wound up having to have some (minor) info dumps in the contact dialog.
It's safer to play with groups, but it was designed with it being soloing in mind. It's quite possible to solo, if you're prepared. The enemy groups just happen to be a bit debuff heavy, which puts a single character at a disadvantage. The custom enemy group is a little on the weak side, but has an extra little serving of accuracy debuffs.
Part one of what will likely become a three part series. (Not that that has much bearing on the contest... I just might enter the sequels, is all.)
The deadline for submitting Arc ideas to be considered for the January contest has been reached. No further arcs may be submitted for this month. February submissions should not begin until February 1.

We have begun running these arcs to choose this month's winner and so far I am hearing nothing but positives from the players about the arcs. Should make choosing a winner difficult. I have personally run a couple of them so far and if that is any indication of the quality of the entrants then it will indeed be a very difficult choice. I encourage the rest of you out there that are looking for something to do to give some of these arcs a try...there are some very well written mission arcs in the competition. Should be fun.
We have our winner for January! First of all let me say there were some very great arcs in this contest and I look forward to our future entries. Remember if you did not win this month; you may resubmit your arc next month with or without changes!
And now congratulations to our winner @Nebulhym for his arc ID: 12647 entitled
TALES OF CIMERORA: OF FEATHERS AND FUR...
Thanks to all of you who contributed arcs...they were a lot of fun! Looking forward to February's contest--you may start submitting arcs February 1.
Can we get some feedback (here) on these? It'd be much appreciated.

Perhaps if you are seeking some response on the forums, (i haven't checked to see if you already have yet) You could create a thread on the AE Section, http://boards.cityofheroes.com/forumdisplay.php?f=583 and the we and others can submit reviews there.

The American Legion of Virtue is proud to announce a new monthly contest!
An Architect Entertainment Author's Challenge with a monthly grand prize of 500 Million Influence will be launched in January 2011. To compete in the contest; you must submit your Arc ID on this thread by 23:59 EST on the third Friday of each month. The winner will be announced on this thread on the fourth Friday of each month at or shortly after 20:00 EST.
There is no minimum number of missions required. If you feel that your one mission arc is strong enough to win the competition; by all means enter it! These arcs must be submitted by the author by the above stated deadline. One entry per author per month.
There will be no runners up or honorable mentions; just winner take all. Arcs which do not win are eligible to re-enter. If you wish to re-enter you must re-submit your arc id by the following month's deadline. You are welcome to make edits to the arc before re-submitting.
Winning authors may submit new story arc ideas for future contests but grand prize winning authors may not win in consecutive months; and grand prize winning entries are not eligible for re-entry.
Some months will have posted themes for the arcs; some will be open to any type of theme. The arcs will not be judged based on rewards but based on storyline, creativity, maps, characters, and how challenging as well as enjoyable the arc is.
These contests will continue monthly for as long as players are willing to submit entries.
