DLed and installed the 11.4 drivers and seems to have fixed it at this point. I haven't played for a ling time in game yet, just 3-4 missions and some running around. I'll try to do a few costume changes for my alts and see if it crashes there.
Thanks to those who helped it's great to see fast and accurate responses without all of the "SEARCH THE FORUMS NEWB!@!!!" responses. BTW I did search and got a ton of nothing in regards to this issue and the 11.4 drivers. -
Ok so I recently re-subbed to the game to try it out again to see what changed and to try out a few new things.
But I'm having a lot of lock up issues at random times and getting very frustrated.
So here is where I'm locking up.
When I click the login screen after the launcher loads up the game.
Random points in missions - Haven't tried all of my old characters but seems to be happening on Preatoria.
During character creation or tailor NPCs when I try to change or make costume selections.
Walking around in the open world.
So basically at any time the game locks up and I have to go to the program manager to close the process.
A few system notes:
Intel Core i3 3.20Ghz
4 gig memory
64bit OS
ATI Radeon HD 5450 Graphics Driver ver. 8.881.0.0
At this point it hasn't been long on being back but I have to say that I've played Rift and WOW on this system with no issues and I'll give it a week or so to see if anyone can help but I'll have to drop the game again after that. I really wanted to try the game out but the constant crashing is really putting me off at this time. =< -
I recently re-subbed and am having this crashing issue in character creation as well as at the Tailor.
For the tailor I go to a pre-existing character and try to change stuff around a bit. The game crashes at random points. Clicking one thing will do it, then again clicking something totally different will do it next time.
I eventually created a character on the heroside, saved the format then created my Preatorian. Not the best way but it worked.
Now if I can just find a way to change my older characters at the tailor without crashing. -

And one thing about a Khelds Nova form that most people forget. That the Annoying KB becomes KD if you hovering above the mobs. So on a team you can assume your role as the team Orbiting Laser Platform. Go in just after the tank heards things together (assuming you have a tank) then hit your Big AoE KB/KD power and gain the praise of team members (specially the tank and any healing members) for your awesome crowd control. +>

This reminds me of the old "Helper" tag from the good olde days of Star Wars Galaxies. BEFORE it was so wrongfully ruined by Sony.
Ive been on a Hero break for a long time and have recently came back. I'm not a number cruncher nor the best at the lore but more then glad to help on Victory if its needed.

Is there an easy way to keep displaying the local time in game, besides using the /localtime command or Herostats (which wont stay on top of the game)?
Would like to know since I am often playing at odd hours and like to have an easy way to tell when to log to do other things and the easier the better. => -

I was at an event and I could have sworn that I saw someone with a Fiery Ring on top of their head. I was wondering what it was as far as a costume piece that I haven't seen or unlocked or some kind of buff.

Pfttt. I'm 42 and I love to summon my non-combat pet and watch them slide around behind me.
I remember when that mission came to live and people actually like to play in the Hollows. We would get to some of those rooms with the place covered in ice and spend tons of time in there. I especially liked the room that has an Ice ramp leading to a staircase and trying to slide down and jump over to it. Ahhhh fun times indeed. -

I didn't have a chance to properly speak with Posi, but I did talk with Lighthouse briefly and I spoke often with CuppaJo and the other NCSoft people.
It was a blast working with NCSoft, ArenaNet (Guild Wars) and WizKids (HeroClix). I was pulled off the exhibition floor early on Sunday due to medical reasons, but it was still an awesome experience that I wouldn't have traded for the world.
By the way, the NCSoft people bought me food and that was awesome of them. I've never been happier to be a customer.

I checked and didn't see a "Know Issues" thread. Well if there is I'm sorry I didn't find it in my search.
So far 1 problem I see so far is that whenever I load into a mission all of my toggles are off. Not one or two but ALL toggles. As a Stalker this can be bothersome if I load into an area and have a ambush while I load. -

I could see there being a Trip (KD) and maybe a Stun with you junping in the air and a hard over head crush. -

And if so how hard would it be for someone to either by accident or purpose to find the spot where he is and have him released?
I myself see it as maybe a few of the work crew are loyalist and they know where he is and work towards their goal during work hours and when close, they come back in the night to do the final work of retrieving the capsule he is in and secreting it away in the cover of night.
Maybe even with a large explosion to cover their tracks.

Edit - Oh and to pick a nit. With the special test server event I checked out the CH and saw one major problem. The list woul dbe a lot shorter if there where no regular enhancements listed. I know you can narrow down the lsitings, but realy why can't people sell those things to vendors like everyone else?? -
If you can think this over and maybe include it as part of a strategy section.
For me traps isn't about toe bombing and laying traps around a mob during battle, but more about pre-battle prep.
On my Merch/traps MM i will often lay mine fields (at least while solo). The MFs are often 6-8 mines with 2 poison traps, 1 Mortar and some Trops.
I can then lead a boss/EB (I use a GOTO/Passive command to keep the boys in check until the boss is close) to the field using the Probes. Then switch the guys to BG mode and let the fun begin. The Boss will have 50% or less health often, easy to hit, less resistance to my damage, slowed and sometimes held and of course with a -regen buff.
Which makes them much easier to handle.
This of course works best with indoor settings or out doors with enough covering terrain. -
One thing I hate is when people look down on Trip Mine or just say it's bad.
I count myself as a Trapmaster and Tactician (atleast while on my Merc/Traps MM).
If you have ADD or just don't like to take a minute to set up for boss fights the you can stop reading.
I take 1 maybe 1.5 minutes before what looks like a tough fight (boss and lots of minions, EBs). I lay out a minefield of 6-7 mines (slotted 1 Acc, 3 Dam, 2 AR), 2 Poison Traps, 1 AM and a set of Trops. I can then either send in the drones or use my Goto/Passive macro (I call it Ambush), then shot the boss, run back to my guys and set them on BG.
I can then sit back and watch the fireworks. It's often a bit in the way of over kill but once the target gets through the field I have my guys open up and the boss goes right down.
Try this sometime (for those with Merc/Traps) and see how effective it is. The time it takes to set up more then makes up for the speed at which the target goes down.
I used this with a group that was having trouble with an EB (forget which) one of the team members had played with me a few times and had me come in for some help. I laid my field aggroed the EB and he hit the field smack in the center.
Got Debuffed by the PTs, Debuffed by the AM and then blown to pieces with the TMs and the rest was history. -
I said costumes. But this is actually 2nd to one that isn't listed. The ATs. For me the amount of ATs and the way they can be defined by 2ndaries and Pool Powers can make for some very diverse characters.
That is if your not in the current FOTM. -
This is of course my opinion but I think that as a /Traps MM you are missing one thing that can and often does come in handy.
That is Mine Fields.
Now on teams this is pretty much not going to happen. Few will sit around long enough for you to plant a good sized MF. I did do this in a group that was trying to defeat infernal and they where surprised in how well the event went. I was invited in when they had already died 1-2 times and where willing to try anything.
Solo it is much easier since you decide if you want to take the time to lay a MF and how large you want it to be.
I will often go for laying 6-7 Mines, then 1-2 Poison traps (with one being laid earlier), and 1 Acid Mortar. I then lay Trops and 1-2 more mines. I use a Gotto Passive macro I have to park my men in a good spot then preceed to pull and run past them. I will then switch them to defensive/follow once the boss/eb gets close.
There's nothing like having a boss/eb walk into your MF and seeing 1/2 (sometimes a bit mroe) of their life literally go up in smoke then letting your guys open up to take out the rest.
But of course as I stated at the start this is my opinion. -
This is true. But my D3 does have his Darkest Night with 4 ToHit Debuffs. Just to eek out an extra bit of -ToHit. He just seems to take too much of a beating at times.

Here's an idea that may help. Post two slotting patterns. One which is your current build, and add that this is your slotting and the extra enhancers add a little bit more of an effect. Then below post a more general slotting build.
This should alleviate some of the problems.

Just for an FYI the OP did say it was their first guide. And as such should be given a bit of help in correcting it. If anything the OP is like myself and many others. A person who loves to play an AT but isn't a number cruncher. Yes other guides have more numeric info but for general power use and slotting the guide is fine. Though as soem have mentioned there are a few corrections that need to be made.
such as that Siphon Speed dosn't increase your own end regen. Just Atk Spd and Run/Fly speeds.
I for one like general to the point guides and look forwared to making my own at some point once I get a guy to lvl 50.
Being an Altaholic this has been a major challenge.

To the OP I just want to say, try studying up on your subject matter a bit more. Heck I run a lvl 45 ill/ff, and I can solo like a champ, and that's considering that there are no damagebuffs of any kind in forcefields. I really wouldn't want to take that build you've presented for a spin.
