In response to the theme of the thread things seem healthy to me. I have noticed since my return that many of the old haunts are ghost towns. But that is easily explained by all the options players are presented with now. Add to that sub communities, old super groups, preferred teams, and a few noses in the air and you have the current scenario.
I think all the veterans just need to remember to humor any new players. That extra five minutes to answer a question, help with a mission or fork over a few bucks may keep a new player interested and more importantly a healthy server. The game is nothing without it's players. -
Quote:I bet your red/green would cry against some of my blue decks!!!Same. I actually hate blue decks as well and the constant counterspell cheese. Red/Green usually takes'em apart with enough land destruction. Along with most other decks.
There is nothing more cheese loaded then direct damage -
I have Highlander available to the highest bidder

My very first character was my namesake: Juzam (INV/SS Tanker).
I used to be an avid M:TG tournament player and EVERY name I tried during creation was taken. Anxious to start playing I just picked the name of one of my favorite cards
Many, many, many tanks later Juzam still logs in every now and again. He is usually busy entertaining the harem in his bottle! -
Thanks everyone!
So last night my stoner (Panzer) became a vigilante! Wow is all I can say about being able to run around on red side. Inherent fitness is great and finally goofing around with the epic pools I always glossed over has been fun. So far I am having a blast and enjoying all the updates and GR. I knew it was meant to be when the VERY FIRST mob I sat down dropped a purple recipe! -
*smiles*
If there was ever a constant in the universe it is threads like these! -
I could not resist the 33% off Steam is running on GR.
How is everyone doing these days?
I nearly fell off my chair when I saw the Fitness Pool was inherent now... -

Good players working as a team can make the best of any situation.

Cool indeed...although these new forums are friggin' ugly!

I do recognize there are a few that are doing more for the game than i am, and those people are the ones mentioned in this thread and those who have responded.

There is plenty of unsung heroes in every MMORPG.
Furthermore, they dont need their name in lights or a medal on their chest. Just the simple acknowledgment of thank you from the plethora of players assisted is enough.
To the OP, best of luck and here is a few ideas:
I can tell you one area most new (regardless of MMORPG background) players struggle with: enhancements. They really can be confusing to a new player.
Another area is the concept of roles in COH/COV verses other holy trinity type games. In our wheelhouse here we dont need a tank or a healer. You can accomplish just about everything with any combo of ATs as long as everyone works together. That is an area which I still see players struggling with on a daily basis. -
Hmmm, all the winners have white costumes.

Congrats to everyone -

Well, it seems that instead of attending I'm moving out of my apartment. Damn my procrastination.

I would make Granite armor colorable at the tailor.

I already know the answer to my first question. Is it absolutely necessary? *listens for the resounding "YES!"*
I already know why also, but let's say I'm crazy. (I am.) I like the Stone tanker primary, and I like how most of the various armors look. However, I find the look of Granite Armor to be bland and not fitting for the character I have in mind, so I either choose not to take Granite Armor, or I take it and use it only very (VERY) rarely. How would I do such a thing without being ostracized by any team that may pick me up expecting a huge Granite golem?
[/ QUOTE ]
My advice would be to take Granite just for when the excrement hits the rotary air device. If careful and on the [u]right[u] team you could spend most of your time in the other armors.
In my opinion after playing tankers (forever it seems) you will need Granite regardless of your team or being solo. Sometimes things just go awry and you can either fail or get past the aesthetics of granite.
Just try to play with the idea it is another tool on your utility belt. -
Where have all the good teams gone?
Interested in tickets I have spent a great deal of time (Red side) in AE missions. Mirroring the theme of this thread I can say the PLed players are just terrible... -

Hey now! Can I get me a pair of those Sneaks?
Are those the new Air Juzams? With the pointy Curls?
That's hot.
And nice to see the Steve Clones are still around.
Hadn't heard from you guys in awhile.

Air Juzams are only available during the duration of this contest. Please visit your local Super Foot Locker to purchase a pair. They are special edition and limited to one pair per hero! -

I'm hoping we can convince whoever needs convincing (Positron? Synapse?) to let those badges stay, purchasable with tickets. I really don't want to lose a lot of those titles, and not even because of the badge count, but because they just look so neat under my character's name.

Bingo.
Im always the positive poster and I must say for the first time ever Im very disappointed in the dev decisions here. -
If you like to "arrest" CoT for magic salvage then Ghost Axe.
Otherwise Sands of Mu is hard to beat. -
INV/SS and then my Stoner (caveat: after IOs).

Also, what server do you play on?
