Hey, are you by chance using windows 7 and have used the accessibility options to increase the size of text, icons, etc. on your monitor?
If so, CoH may come in too large. If you look in the options under accessibility there's a way to disable certain programs from using it, which is what I had to do for CoH. -

If you haven't learned that yet, you either aren't old enough or experienced enough yet to understand it.Ok, as much as I love Going Rogue and Praetoria, can I just say how much I hate "information"? Yes, I know they're trying to tie "influence" and "infamy" together, but come on, bite the bullet and call it SuperCreds or something, already.
I use it to buy stuff. It's money. I don't spend information, I spend currency. (And I have a hard time believing Serge is so hard up for gossip that he'll trade "information" for fabulousness.)

This. They melt like butter under the hail of bullets from my thugs. My BS scrapper likes to cut them down too, especially after having to fight all the other things that resist his damage.

I'll be happy to return to either the Isles or PC, where I can be a hero or villain and not some chump who gets held down and violated by any 3 random yellow minions.

Fox has X-Men, so Kitty is out. Choices as I see them:
Liz Allan - Makes sense, as she was the first firl we see PP being interested in.
Betty Brant - Another early love interest, not much happened, but a remote possibility.
Gwen - An obvious choice, but unles they're going to reuse the goblin/bridge/glider desth from the first SM, I don't really want to see her death rewritten to be at the hands of another villain or in a different way, really.
Felicia - No. I wouldn't want to see her anywhere near an SM "origin" story.
New Person - No. If they do that, they might as well make Spidey's secret ID "Ben Reilly" and give him blond hair. -
I'd really like to be privy to the design process that came up with this turd.
It's like they intentionally set out to create a power that does absolutely nothing. It might was well be an emote. Actually an emote would be more useful, since it wouldn't have a timer. -
Ok, so I have a character that I've had for 5 years or so but don't really play, and now, as of GR, there's an enemy in the game with the same name.
Will this cause me trouble if I decided to play the character now? I remember hearing that before the hollows came out there were "Frostfires" on several servers that had to talk to GMs about their names, so I'm not sure.
Also, if I deleted and remade the character, would the name now be "reserved" -
So I try to make this macro:
/Macro Run "pow_exec_name Sprint$$pow_exec_name Ninja Run"
But it's not working how I want it to. If both are on, it turns both off...but if both or one is off, it alternates between them.
Any way to get a macro to have it turn both on and both off? -
The only issue I have with this is that it's not done because the brutes are OP compared to the content...they've been going along for 5 years the way they were. It's that they're OP compared to another class...this nerf never would have happened if not for GR.
So if brutes were fine for the content before, then one can assume since they were toned down they're going to be "less fine" for the content.
At least the scrappers and tanks will feel better. -
It's just like 2xp, a new issue or AE during the prime farming days, just a little higher pop.
The vast majority of the increase will be gone in two weeks tops. With luck, some of the new players will stick around, but don't expect to see any kind of huge increase in the average number of players on at any given time. -
Ok, for my pick in the Music Video category...something that's wrong on so many levels that it crosses over into awesome...
The musical stylings of Mini Daddy -
Quote:People on both sides froth at the mouth and wet themselves whenever anyone posts something that disagrees with their opinion. Personally, I never have trouble finding a team, so I don't care too much. Are the servers lower in pop? Yes. Does that mean Doooooom? No. Lot of games survive with low pops and without server mergers. All it means is that there's less money coming in for updates and eventually the game goes into maintenance mode. Short of something cataclysmic, even that won't shut the servers down. They aren't excuses. They are legitimate reasons why people change their real life schedules. Having those things happen doesn't mean that they up and cancelled their subscriptions like you want people to believe.
The truth is that even with subscriptions being lower then they used to be most of the playerbase doesn't have problems finding teams on any server regardless of the size of its population.
It sure is fun watching you guys froth at the mouth whenever anyone disagrees with you.
What's funny to me is watching the excuses and mental gymnastics that fanboys will go through to deny that the game is anything less than 100% perfect. -
Quote:Can I get some of what you're smoking?actually, check the history, there were two guys who originally came up with "superman", they split, and captain marvel and superman were the two offspring of that split, with captain marvel being the property of the guy with the original idea. so technically, superman is the rip off of captain marvel, though CM didn't come out till years later.

Quote:As a counterpoint, the fanboys always have an excuse as to why less people are playing:It's also inconceivable to the doomies that peoples real life schedules do in fact change and that when something like school or college starts they may decide only to play 2 nights a week rather than the 5 nights a week they were playing previously. No instead the doomies are convinced that any change to a persons schedule means they have cancelled their account and they'll never be back. So any change in the number of players online at a given time is proof the game is dying.
It's Summer, people are outside
It's Fall, people are busy starting school
It's the holidays, people are spending time with family
It's after the holidays, people are playing with their new games
It's Spring, people are getting out after a long winter
It's finals/graduation people are busy
It's summer...
I've seen every single one of those brought out as an excuse as to why the player population is dropping. -
The artists have to make the donut runs.

Quote:Let's see..mere mortal turns into a God in a bolt of lightning...I always wondered why Marvel insisted on creating their own version of Superman when they had The Mighty Thor the entire time. IMO, he is Marvel's Superman.
While Captain Marvel is a Superman ripoff too, Thor is a little more inspired by him than by Kal-El. -

Quote:So basically you want police or military training, police or military equipment, and police or military authority...I would undertake this if I could find martial arts teachers that teach the art how it was meant to be used (or how the arts were originally used), and not the watered down sports competition versions.
And if I had the following:
-Gadgets to help even the playing field when I am outnumbered
-The best body armor money can buy
-Official sanction, so that I can't get into any legal trouble
So we can assume you're joining the police and/or the military? -
Quote:I think the ID4 aliens must have been stupid, because they were apparently running all of their ship's systems using Java and no firewall/AV software.So...
Which alien (civilization) is the stupidest of all?
I think the ID4 aliens are pretty smart and got killed via plot...
The Species aliens, whoever they are, are genius sending us genetic data to kill us...
The Signs aliens... have to be the dumbest civ ever... attacking a civ on a planet that is 75% poison to yourself and attacking with ground troops... that are naked... and attacking solo.
Have to agree on the Signs aliens...since they even couldn't figure out how to open a closet door.
