I want to see data mining in regards to how often the 'Clunker' oil trail aura is colored black/gray vs how often it's colored something else

Quote:I would mind if they removed any of the costume pieces, regardless of whether I use them or not. Then you wouldn't mind if the Devs removed the Derby from hats for female models since that's a man's hat? <looks at Jophiel's avatars>
I do not mind if they choose not to add pieces they feel won't be used. -
Quote:I'd imagine they expected "eye chains" or whatever to be used more frequently than it is. I doubt they make anything thinking "Boy, the three times this gets used will be great!"If they shouldn't make pieces because of how rarely used it would be, then there's a lot of stuff in the costume creator which should not have been, e.g., chains wrapped around the eyes.
However, if they think it won't be used often (rather than making a mistake that it will), they're just not going to waste their time on it. Which I'm happy with since I'd rather have other things than fishnets and cheerleader skirts for my male heroes. -
In case you don't read the other forums, Zwil posted a list of expected changes to the Steampunk pack...
Quote:I went and pestered El Topo and Cheryl for a list of things that we can confirmed as fixed internally specific to the Steampunk Pack. No official ETA on when these will show up in a live build aside from saying soon™. While this list isn't comprehensive, it does represent what we can currently confirm.
Thanks to Cheryl and El Topo (Biblioteca!) for providing this list.
NOTE: THESE BE NOT OFFICIAL PATCH NOTES. (We'll publish those when these fixes are live).

Having made a few posts criticizing stuff, let me just say that this news is fantastic and I'm glad I made the choice to purchase on launch day. I know it doesn't cover every complaint about the pack but it's really more than I frankly expected.

Down along the shore in Port Oakes is a bit with some angel-esque statues and stuff. Maybe there?
I don't remember what the rest of it looks like so maybe it's covered in oil drums for all I know. Red side is mainly a dump anyway so I wouldn't be surprised. -
Quote:I'll take your word on it. Point being, it looks out of place to me. I don't begrudge it existing and I'm not raging that it was designed or anything... it's just not to my taste so I don't care if it's gated, locked or gated and locked and tossed into the seaIt looks like something out of Lineage II or Aion to me, the typical Korean take on high fantasy with the angular, elongated pointy bits and heavy ornate design with much glowy. WoW has more rounded shapes, more smooth-edge block designs that look battle-worn and a generally much heavier look to it.

There's one long coat option without a shirt "baked in" underneath. All the other jacket options force you to wear a tie which is absolutely ridiculous considering that we already have those options as separate parts for anyone who wants it.

That's my feeling. Of course, the fact that the Ascension armor looks all World of Warcrafty to me and I have no interest in it makes it easy to be gracious and say "Leave it as Incarnate stuff".
-
Huh?
He's saying he wanted armored steampunk style boots in the booster (to go with the rest of the original Steampunk armor set, I assume), not that he was unwilling to pay for it.
Edit: Oops, he did say free stuff. That said, I agree that boots completing a set that's been around since launch isn't an unreasonable request. -
Thanks for hosting! Good times all around.

Quote:I think there's some major issues with this booster but also some good points. I bought it entirely on the strength of Zwil saying they were looking at the problems so they could revisit and patch it. They did make changes to the animal pack and they also fixed the horrendous clipping issues the Martial Arts pack released with.I think even some of the doubters would purchase them if they continues to support them after release. Example: There needs to be a "with skin" option for organic armor from the mutant pack, and a monstrous hand of the same item.
Of course, if they don't make any significant changes addressing the basic criticisms restated a bajillion times in the Test threads, I'll be one cranky consumer but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt for now. -
50ish. Mainly either saves of "main" costumes in case I mess them up while tinkering ("Was that dark pale blue or medium pale blue?") and ones I've offered in the SS&FA Costume Help thread in case I need to reference them later for someone.
My own characters tend to have one main costume and stick with it. I've never unlocked more than 2 additional costume slots on a character and those have been to play around for costume contests. -
Posted these before in the other thread but that doesn't seem to be a barrier here

Quote:I think he's saying to provide negative feedback (if that's how you feel) in the beta forums. Also, Z-man, 'having drama attacks' is fairly valid as feedback, showing exactly how much dislike for the costs people have (And not just. On the forums I've seen more against than in favour. In game the response on one channel was general outcry.)
That said, posting there and talking about it here (where costumes are commonly discussed) don't seem to be mutually exclusive. -
I don't know how helpful it would be to you but I'd think the easiest option would be to plop one down in a SG base. Decorate around it with tapestries, ferns and other accoutrements to taste.
I'm guessing you don't want to sit on Jack-In-Irons' rubble heap -
Short Version: Is it worth chasing Smashing/Lethal on my DP/NRG?
Longer Version: My previous characters that chased defense were mostly melees and had sets that favored chasing positional defense. With this character, I thought maybe Smashing/Lethal would be a better choice since my T9 involves me getting cuddly with the enemy and I don't have much mitigation besides knockback in my "natural" ammo and knockback/stun secondary powers that still require being in melee. But it looks as though my only IO Set options that give a significant boost are Kinetic Combat in my melees. That's pricey but I could grind out the merits/A-Merits/cash to do it if I put my mind to it. I would combine it with Weave, Combat Jumping, 3% Steadfast & Scorpion Shield. Not likely to get a +3% PvP.
Any thought or experience on this? Have people done it and found it worth it or is there a better way? If I'm using KC's, would you slot mules like Boxing or Brawl for them or pick the NRG melees (I've been picking the utility secondaries and the stun so far, not the attacks)? I wasn't originally going to chase defense but, at 32, I find myself feeling particularly squishy.
I'm not looking for a full build (I'll make one myself when I pick my direction) but just some opinions and advice. -
In matters of origin, ask yourself "If I didn't have the suit, would I still be effective?"
If anyone could wear the suit and do something close to what you do, call it tech.
If you could lose the suit and still be more effective than a regular person, call it mutation.
For game mechanics reasons, of course, origin barely matters at all so I ultimately wouldn't sweat it too much. I know some people pick mutant for anyone from a martial artist to a wizard to a power suit fighter just because the Mutation Enhancements are more clearly named. -
Afrodyte: Dual Pistol/Energy Blaster
I don't have much else to say about her that those pictures don't say already -
Zwill,
I don't suppose we could get a heads-up on what the art department intends (if anything) on changing? I don't mind buying at launching knowing that X, Y & Z will be patched later but I do mind buying on a hint of future changes that may turn out to be trivial or non-existent. -

Congratulations! That's pretty slick of Zwill as well.

Would it be any worse than, say, the tactical belt where I never draw the night stick (even when I'm using the baton option for War Mace)? Or the ammo belts that never get depleted?
There's plenty of NPC models that include holstered guns, knives, throwing stars, grenades and other things that are never drawn or used. Yet people ask for the same tactical vest/belt options seen on Crey/5th Col/Council/Paragon PD/Malta/KoA all the time.
