I have no villains in red & black. I do have a MM in red & black but she started in Praetoria and went blue side.
I am swollen with pride. At least, I hope that's pride. -
FYI, you can link to your rates but you're not allowed to post your rates here. You might want to edit your post to avoid a mod deletion.

Longbow is trained and armed by NATO in cooperation with Freedom Corps which I'd think qualifies them as a legitimate military organization.

Oh. Well, since some power sets are designed around having strong AoE damage and since strong AoE damage is usually what farmers look for...
No, I wouldn't feel pride at not playing a power set just because some other people use it for farming. That's just silly. -
Do you mean a character explicitly designed to farm, a character who could farm but you never do it, a character who can't farm even if they wanted to or what?
I have characters with strong AoE attacks and defenses who can easily run x8 maps but I never set out to design them for farming. I don't have any particular pride in this fact. -
As complete anecdotal "evidence", my SR scrapper with the first tier musculature alpha is still laughing at Sappers. My guess is that you had a bad streak of luck or some other factor was afoot.
The easiest way to personally test it would be to unslot your alpha boost and restart the mission. It wouldn't be especially accurate unless you were running the same mission a bunch of times and crunching the data but it can at least give you a general impression.
(edit: Wait... Sapper holds? Are you thinking of something else?) -
Eh, I spend considerable time in game where I'm not even tabbed into the window. I'm not defending my own casualness/hardcoreness (I'm further to the latter than the former) but I'd consider anyone who treated the game "casually" -- as in without many goals, drive to be on top, avoiding market-madness, just happily futzing around -- to be a casual player.
-
I'd say someone who spends 10 hours a week running task forces is far less "casual" than someone who spends twenty hours a week loitering around Atlas Park, entering costume contests and chatting in globals.

It's not that it's a "bad" thing, it's just that it's a power choice that may or may not be appropriate. A couple extra points of defense from Weave, for example, shouldn't be "unwanted" but that doesn't mean it's an appropriate power choice for everyone. People have already given examples up-thread about builds where Hasten wasn't something they needed over their other options.

I'm a little surprised that you felt like you weren't "doing anything" with an Earth controller. Floaty numbers aside, the set is practically obnoxious with visual effects, be it imprisoning everyone in stone, sending stalagmites bursting upwards and throwing everyone into a stun, summoning giant volcanic vents and making everyone fall on their butts or even the less spectacular gas & quicksand effects. It doesn't kick out a lot of orange digits but I never felt as though it wasn't providing positive feedback that it's making a difference.
Of course, my Earth 'troller is paired with /Storm which only doubles the visual spectacle. -

Not too recent but, within the last year, I snagged Homily, Liturgy and Minaret on Virtue. All (in my opinion) delightfully evocative classic-sounding hero names. Speaking of religious themed names, I picked up Convent as well.
A nice surprise was getting Pronghorn. Only because I had found it free once and posted it to the free names thread on the Virtue forum and someone said they took it. Months later, I had a concept for it, tried it and it was free again. He just hit level 50.
I not generally a fan of pun names but I'll admit that I recently took Wendy City for a Chicago-themed scrapper. -
Quote:Fitness was useful to pretty much anyone right out of the box. Assuming you want some more recovery/regen, you could take the powers, drop a couple enhancements in them and go with it. Even if you didn't need it, it was still a benefit. With Fitness going Inherent, has the fighting pool taken it's place as a must have pool power the way fitness used to be?
Fighting is only useful if you're going to actively build around what it provides. A blaster who isn't building for defense isn't going to benefit much from Weave and would probably be better taking almost anything else. Melees already have the foundation to make some use out of the pool, ranged characters require a commitment to using it (at the potential expense of other build focuses) to make it worthwhile. -
No cat headed, dog headed, bovine headed or eagle headed creatures with otherwise human skeletal structures in real life. Find me a mountain lion holding an axe and shield and we'll talk. Until then, assume that such mythical creatures jump with their arms out.

Quote:Likewise, except it's a KM/SR. I actually do have Hasten but I only use it occasionally for tough fights to give myself the extra edge. Otherwise, I usually don't think about it much as I already have an attack chain that works and get enough Siphon pops that it's not that important to me during my usual fights. I could probably give it up easily enough but I haven't respecc'd yet to have to think about it.For example, my MA/SR scrapper does not have Hasten, because she already has Quickness (which provides a recharge boost) and a long attack chain. No need for Hasten because I always have an attack ready to go. Additionally, she has Practiced Brawler on autofire, and I won't take Hasten on a character unless I can set as the autofire power.
My SD/WM tank doesn't have it and I don't feel its absence. I don't need it for all the toggles and I have a workable attack chain without sacrificing a power to try and make my tank a little punchier. And, again, I already have my autofire power dedicated on that character. -
Probably fish around for a new MMORPG. CoX is the one I like best for now but, if it ain't around, it's time to figure out which is #2.
Also, ask for the rest of my six month subscription back -
Huh, I was going to enter this morning, saw it was 15min before my "time" then got busy and forgot all about it.

In fact, that should be our new Super Jump animation. -
