I really like the bio and costume for Psilocin. I don't think any of my characters qualify as the right kind of creepy, I'll take a gander at them though and see.

I love the street signs. (The rest of it is pretty freaking awesome too of course)

A collage of cool screenshots of my newest (and yet one of the oldest, long story) character, Unstable Fiend.

Sorry I missed your birthday, Heri. I was... busy. >.>
Anyway, happy belated birthday, hope it continued to be enjoyable throughout the night, and have fun playing Spore (And if you run into any creatures created by Onuris, that's my name on there too). -
5: Go ahead, punk. Make my day.
Sometimes you just gotta go with the classics. -
I had already voted. Watched the other four and there was absolutely no question in my mind which was the best. Your's was definitely the only one that I'd want to watch more of. I don't think I commented on it before, but you did a fantastic job with it.

Wait then that means TA is human? Scarf Girl doesn't really wear scarves? and, and, and Doc Boy isn't a doctor? Oh my god, I feel so dirty...

<-really me, and I really am unstable...
Also, great look on the page, very professional and clean look to it. -
Thanks for that warning about Clone Wars. I was kinda tempted.
And good luck to you getting your creative groove back. I too know the feeling all too well. I have a personal project that I really want to work on and get done and I just can't get into it at all. -
These are not the posts he is looking for?

I love it. I worked eight years in retail, so I know how ya feel on that front. Great idea to combine the two into one comic. And it may not have been gut-busting, but I still got a good chuckle from just the first page. I think you're on your way to something great, keep up the good work.

Cool backstory, but the link goes to MySpace's main page.

Actually, it takes you to the page to log in to continue to his myspace gallery. Myspace pictures aren't visible to those who do not have myspace accounts. If you do have a myspace account and log in, it will show you the screenie. Great costume btw. But anyway, think about hosting it somewhere other than myspace since myspace is stupid about that stuff. (Yes, I admitted to having a myspace and then called it stupid) -
Those baby X-men are too freaking cute. I love the look on Wolvie's face, and Cyclops' pose is too cute. So is that your way of planning what your kid will be for Halloween? lol

Kinda reminds me of the Skesis from Dark Crystal; Froud-ish, but brighter colors. Very cool.

Looking good. Only thing I'd do would be add a little more meat to her right forearm, it looks like it's bending a little further than possible as it is. Not terrible, but with the rest of the sketch looking so good, it stands out to me. Also, the left hand being totally hidden by the bow... I realize perspective is weird with things like that so maybe it was done purposefully, but I'd like to see some fingers coming around the bow considering the angle of it. Everything else looks great though, can't wait to see it finished.

I suppose I should respond too. I post mainly here and in the Guardian section, with occasional posts in random sections (most often Player Questions when I stray from my norm) depending on my mood and/or level of sanity at the time.
I post here because I love art, I love CoH, and I love the community here. And it's nice to be able to share my art somewhere aside from school. Speaking of which, I really need to do more to share here, but I've gotten myself involved in a personal project in addition to all my work for school. The work for school wouldn't exactly be suitable for posting here since it's not very superhero related, but you guys will be seeing the result of my project when I get done with it. It's probably gonna take me a month or so (a more realistic expectation may be 3-4 months but I'm being optimistic) to get done though, so don't hold your breath waiting to see it. And depending on how it turns out, it might be something that I offer to do for others; but that decision is going to have to wait until after I'm done and know if I can actually pull it off. -
Very nice. Keep up the good work.

Start harping on Jay for 'em, we'd all love to have them.
Very nice art btw. Love the swirly cape bits. -

Personally I favour critiques, especially well structured ones. Depending on the situation, I may make adjustments to that piece or I may not. Usually I think of critiques as 'advice or thoughts for the future.' (Remember that critiques can point out the positive and negative, as well as offer a different view point.)
Because while hearing only the positives, the one-liners, the good-job's is quite wonderful, it can get boring. And doesn't help the progression of the artist.
That said, I would respect the wish of any who posted 'no critique's please.'

I'm glad someone feels the same way I do. -

However, for the character you mentioned, one who has prior experience and training, it's conceivable that she only went through some basic training, something to familiarize her with Arachnos, and then some training to get her comfortable with Widow weaponry.

Awesome, that's what I wanted to hear. Heh. I might still alter her time-line a bit, maybe make it half a year that she trained for instead of 3 1/2 months, but good to know that i's believable. Thanks guys for your input. -
Hmmm... Years... That doesn't fit my time-line at all. Think it would be acceptable to accelerate the training time (to become a Night Widow, not a Fortunata) by a "bit" and crank it down to 3-4 months if the candidate is a former hero with a mutant psychic for a mother and some serious motivation to hone her abilities (physical and mental)? I realize it's a major change, but she was a DB/SR Scrapper beforehand so she did know how to fight and had already been training physically for almost her whole life.
Basically, is it believable? I could go as long ago as late 2002 for her starting training but it would cut out a lot of story. Anything earlier than that is out of the question, and even that feels like pushing it for her story. I would like to stay as close to the real story behind CoX as possible though.
Thanks for your input, Paradigm.
And advance thanks to anyone else who chimes in to help me. -
But figured this would probably be the best place (and I tried searching but came up with too much unrelated material and saw nothing that even came close to answering my query).
Does anyone know how long a typical Soldier of Arachnos trains for before doing field work? I realize that when we make the characters, they are starting as new villains but how long did it take that toon to go from recruit to Soldier or Widow? We are obviously not starting in Arachnos Boot Camp or anything like that when we log in for the first time, so there must be some sort of preparatory program that the characters go through before we get to play them, right?
Reason I'm asking is that I want to make sure the time-line of my Night Widow's story is plausible before I go and make it into a comic/graphic novel (for my own personal enjoyment). I've already verified many of the dates used in my story but without an idea of the length of the initial training I'm left wondering if it will actually fit in my time-line.
Thanks in advance for your assistance. -
That should be ok according to what's been clarified. But if the artist had a NSFW picture in their "Recent Deviations" or as their "Featured Piece" or the "Favorites" preview, or anywhere else visible on their main gallery page (aka one click away from these here forums), then that link would get nuked. The blog thing should be fine.
Btw, something new there? I liked that last one. heh
