Next, how much can be added, I'm guess there must be a hardcap as well.
[/ QUOTE ]
Technically there is a hardcap at 200.38%, but unless you pop a whole tray of purples you will never reach it so it doesn't really matter.
[/ QUOTE ]
Or team with a bunch of FF Defenders. Five with well-slotted bubbles would be enough for anyone with a bit of defense, six would put anyone at the hardcap. It would be completely pointless, but it could happen. -
Nope, not possible. Both toons need to be logged in at the same time in order for one to invite the other.

There are plenty of people on Guardian who still wish to do regular missions. Last night in fact I did a PuG Citadel.
[/ QUOTE ]
And I ran a PuG Synapse last night. And a PuG Citadel and ITF the night before. I tend to only recruit from the Guardian and Level 50 channels though. If you don't belong to one of those, I recommend that you join. I believe that I did see you listed in the Guardian channel list a few times though. *shrug* Keep your eyes open. -
That will likely never happen. Anything that requires a new skeleton would require a lot of work. And the options really wouldn't be used by that many people. It wouldn't be worth it for the Devs to devote the time to make animals when he majority of players don't want to play a talking dog. (That's really a guess, but I don't think the majority of players here are into that sort of thing, this isn't toon-town)

That makes me sad, now I can never change my badge title on my Scrapper unless I want to lose the Bard title forever...
Thanks for the link though. -

Not completely out of luck. There's probably a way of getting it to see you as not being where you are. You know, like they do in the movies all the time and they can't track the hacker because it says he's in Nigeria and he's really next door. Well, you can do that kind of stuff in real life too. Crazy, I know. You'd have to find someone who knows more about it than I, though. GL CJ.

The only way to do it would be to violate the EULA, and Avatea's announcement.
The store checks the IP address of the user, and prevents those in Latin America and a few other places in the world as a means of fraud protection. Now I am not saying that the original poster wants to, but it is likely something that NCsoft's marketing/legal division or the credit card merchants requires.
So until such time that one or more of the following happens, the original poster is out of luck or will have to break some form of agreement.
* NCsoft allows purchases to be made from that region.
* NCsoft allows purchase of gift codes.
* LevelUp Games is forced to carry the add-on packs.

Others using your account is NOT what Johnstone was talking about, Snowglobe.

Thankfully others understood what I was talking about. I got a little confused by that. -
You can turn the option on with "/screenshotui 1" and turn it off with "/screenshotui 0". While it's on, any screenshot taken using PrintScreen will include the UI.

I'd like to now this as well. I still have Bard on one of my toons too, and I was looking forward to changing the title back and forth between Bard and Shifter, since his standard badge title was Shifter before.
Can't do that without the numbers though. Hopefully someone knows. -

If you're running all AE content, a Controller might not be the best option. Custom Critters get better mez protection (if they have it) than standard critters. Pick your battles, and you'll do fine. But don't just pick things at random and expect to always do great.
If you want to be able to just defeat a bunch of mobs by yourself, and not worry about "handling" them (and you have a few hundred mil inf), then roll a Fire/Shield Scrapper and get some build advice in the scrapper forum (there's already quite a few threads regarding that combo, so you can kinda just pick through them and see what works). -
Whatever size she equates to, she's hot. All the haters need to step off.

I vote for FM/SD as well.
I keep hearing people (elsewhere than the Scrapper forum mostly) say that you have spend billions of inf on IOs to get it to be awesome, but I only spent a little over 500 mil and my FM/SD is pretty freaking awesome. I've soloed 10 AVs now (some of them twice) and he has become my new farming toon since he has no problems taking on my Supa Dupa Troll mish set at level 53 for an 8-man team. (It will be so nice when they actually add that feature and I won't have to fill with my second account.) He's got more than soft-capped defenses to all 3 positions, 52.5% recharge time bonus, and a nearly seamless attack chain of GFS-Inc-Crem-FS, GFS has about a .4 second delay until it comes back up. I've found that it doesn't really matter much though and it's a good time to let AD activate, or pop buildup, or throw in an AoE. -

which is why Grant Cover is still in the build, I don't plan on running that or tough during AV battles.
[/ QUOTE ]
Grant cover gives you defense debuff resistance, you'll want to be running that against certain AVs. The more DDR you can get, the better. And Tough is actually useful in some AV fights. I run Tough all the time one my FM/SD. I have mine slotted with 5 pieces of Aegis for the almost 5% AoE defense it offers though, which makes its end cost a bit more manageable. -
Herringbone example using those same small bookcases. Makes a nice pattern for floors.

I'll get back to you on quickness, but here's a list of them all with their reward value. And you could evaluate their quickness there too.

If it's a ground punch for footstomp, I will be ecstatic.

I find the name choice of "Desdemona" very interesting.
Googling it brings up definitions of: ill-starred, ill-fated, misery, wretched, unlucky
The most notable character is not some greek heroine, but the loyal, devoted wife of Shakespeare's Othello. Desdemona defied her father to marry Othello. Othello eventually murdered Desdemona in a jealous rage fired by Iago's manipulations.
[/ QUOTE ]
Her name just makes me think of Gargoyles >.<
She needs an alternate costume with blue skin, red hair, demon wings, a tail, and a skimpy loincloth type outfit. lol
I know, the Gargoyles character was just named Demona, but it still makes me think of her. -
<qr>
I can already set my AE missions to spawn for 8 without bothering anyone else.
So can anyone else with two or more accounts.
Since AE uses the modified TF rules, you can log in alts and invite them to your team and then log them out and they'll remain on the team. -

*goes on to convince himself that red is green and green is red and gets killed at the next pedestrian crossing*
[/ QUOTE ] Don't most pedestrian crossing signals use orange and white? lol j.k
(I realize there are several different models)
[/ QUOTE ] It's from the hitchiker's guide to the galaxy, but yes they're usually a white walking person and a red hand.

Walk signals are racist! >.< -
Bobcat has Unstoppable, not MoG btw.
She was my first AV soloed as well. Just the other day in fact. I faced her at 44 with my fire/shield.
You'll probably want to take a look at this page so that you can be better prepared against future AVs. Some of them have crazy resists.
So far, the Praetorians that I've soloed as AVs are Bobcat, Shadowhunter, Siege, and Nighstar. (Also soloed Hro'dtohz, but that was with the pet help from the mission and he's not a Praetorian anyway.) Siege and Nightstar weren't tough for me and I only had to pop a single green and a single blue throughout each fight, but they might prove to be more difficult for you, since they have 50% lethal resists. I tried soloing Dominatrix last night and couldn't get her down under 25k thanks to her 50% resists to damn near everything (except for my ToD procs, whoopee). I was able to stand toe-to-toe with her for an indefinite amount of time, but just couldn't overcome her regen. I cheated and logged in my Emp/sonic on my alt account and Fort'd and AB'd myself and left one of his attacks on autofire for the resist debuff. After that, she went down at about my "normal" rate.
Anyway, good luck to you in your future AV soloing endeavors. -
[ QUOTE ]
I always saw Shadowhunter and him as the warmup AVs.
[/ QUOTE ]
Bobcat too. I warmed up on her just the other day. She was my first. What? She was the first AV I soloed, what did you think I meant? I did end up using a couple greens since her Spin got through just about every time (haven't softcapped AoE yet) and she got a few lucky shots past my softcapped melee defense.
Anyway, you guys inspired me. I'm on the path to more now. So far I've got Bobcat, Shadowhunter, and Hro'Dtohz. I did use greens against each of them, but I'm still new to it and I'd rather be safe than sorry. No temps or other insps though, for what that's worth. And Hro'Dtohz, not sure if he really counts since I went into it with the three pets the mission gave me, but they really only functioned to distract the ambushes lol. -
As for the variables that are usable in AE, they are:
$name
$level
$archetype
$origin
$hishers
$heshe
$himher
I think that's all of 'em. -
That question wasn't very tasty. Why did you tell us to eat it?
-
I have a fire/regen and a MA/regen at 50.
The MA/Regen hit 50 back before IOs were introduced, but I remember her being great then. With IOs now, she'd be even better. MA isn't the best damage, but with all the KB and KD and stuns, well, you don't need to kill things as fast when they're dazed and/or on their backs.
The fire/regen is a beast and tears through mobs like tissue paper. But, like all* regens, she's got a glass jaw, and nothing in her primary to help her out there, unlike the mitigation provided by the secondary effects of MA. I can farm level 53 reviving lieuts with the fire/regen though, so it's not like she's weak.
Any of that help? I think they're both great characters, it's just a matter of what style you want to play. MA is a more drawn out fight, but you have all the control. FM is a quick fight, but it's just chaos with lots of orange (and red) numbers flying.
As for DM, no clue there. Never got a DM higher than level 10.
*all in this case refers to the "typical" regen, not the IO'd out the wazoo variety. -
Classic. Gave me a good chuckle.
