N.E.R.D. "lapdance" I know it's the Kingpin's song in Daredevil the Movie, but it's just a great villain song.

    Black Scorpion: Electric Eye by Judas Priest. He's the spymaster right? I may be wrong on that, and it may be Ghost Widow. Either that or Bullet with Butterfly Wings by Smashing Pumpkins

    Scirrocco: Kashmir by Led Zeppelin. Lyrics match up pretty great. Another one would be "The Mystery of Chessboxing" by Wu Tang Clan. The sword sound effects and general bad mf tone works great.

    Im not sure as to why people are saying that the 5th column has to come back?

    I mean, the whole reason that the 5th column were taken out of the game was because in order to succesfully market co* in Europe, the nazi references had to be taken out.

    REgardless of the veracity of that statement, the Devs have repeatedly stated that, at some point, not necessarily I11, they will be back. they were also on the drawing board to be at the center of I10, before it was settled that it would be the Rikti.
  3. I don't think the first Paragon Times Article and this one inhabit the same timeline. Wasn't Recluse still in charge of the Rogue Isles in the first one? I think we're dealing with two seperate (maybe two of many?) time lines here.

  5. Cool pics. It seems to me with Dual Swords and Willpower coming up, this combo would be perfect for a new Warrior Mob.

    I'd also love to finally fight Odysseus. Anyone else think Sexy Jay's new Roman costume set would be perfect for him?
  6. I didn't make the list up because it made sense to me or because it seemed logical. I made it up based on the smattering of Redname posts we've had on the topic and one of them specifically mentioned plans they had to revamp Boomtown after Faultline. Then again, half of everything they've said has been changed, so who knows?

    Also, though, just because a Rikti ship crashed in that Crash site years ago, why does that make sense as to where others from the ritki world will enter our world now? Why would they visit the place one random ship crashed over any other site?
  7. Might as well make the thread useful to anyone checking here, that sees the flame. Here's what I think we can expect:

    I10 - Hero/Villain Co-op zone in a revamped zone - likely Boomtown, lvl 35-40, with
    new Villain group - The Vanguard, a mix of tech and magic guys with wizard-type AVs
    The return of Hero - 1 in a mutated state along with this villain group.
    Zone updates along the lines of the updates for KR, GC, AP in I7.
    Possible return of the Fifth Column in a new form, unknown level range.
    Possible second new or revamped co-op zone
    New Inventions - Enhancements, Temp Powers, and Costume Pieces, New Veteran Rewards for Month 39-up
    Possible new trial or TF

    I11 - New Zone, level range unknown, likely 45-50+, likely in space or on moon.
    Possible new powerset or possibly powersets
    Possible Villain Nictus EAT
    Likely new Inventions

    I12 - Unkown, possibly powersets and Villain Nictus if we don't see them in I12

  10. Hey, Pos... will we still be able to craft Temp Powers with Inventions? Or only enhances and costumey stuff? Also, any ETA on the Nictus for CoV? And the extra powersets? Thanks. I'm really excited for I8 and for Inventions...keep up the good work, and when you start making all that Marvel money, distribute some of it CoH's way, both as thanks for the game that got you the contract, and to keep us happy and our game up to the speed of it's new, Joe Quesada-approved rival.

  12. War Witch, we definitely love the changes. Thanks! What do you need us to do to make sure your bosses give you the time you need to carry them through the other CoH Zones and spread your magic? Should we have petitions? Complaint sessions? PMs to influential people? Say the word and we will mobilize!
  13. The Battalion was indeed mentioned as part of the CGW artice about I7. It stated that they fight both heroes and villains and you need the Inventions temp powers to beat them.

    I8 sounds amazing.

    I had two questions maybe people could answer -
    did they say if Wings will move or will they just be static costume pieces like the wings on Brian Blessed's back in most of the Flash Gordon movie? That would suck.

    Question Two - Did anyone ask if the other CoH city zones were getting updated the way KR, AP, and GC are in I7?

  16. States says that no other AT is as good at managing aggro. But a good part of the game (3 zones anyway, and soon to be a 4th) is PVP, and in that situation, rhe Brute with his single target taunt attacks is much better at it than us. Can we have our punchvoke power work in PVP or an autohit taunt so that we may continue our role in PVP as well as PVE?
  17. I hope they don't add all of it. Maybe neutral items like the military stuff and the biker jacket, but 50 percent of the CoV stuff is very evil specific and I don't want that definite difference between Heroes and Villains to be sacrificed. Your company standing around Mercy Island looks a LOT different than your company at AP. If anything, make CoH pieces that are as good-guy-ish as the CoV new stuff is evil.
  18. I second the following : rewriting the mission text so all of them match the real obectives before I5 goes live.

    - Changing the Ally AI so they fight the minute you attack their captors - makes them not seem so weak and helpless and sets them apart from the hostages.

    - Congratulations on varying the vanilla missions of COH - when you finally complete your mission art variation, you will have the best MMO mission system on the market.

  20. As far as the new tech in I4 is concerned, I think the Kheldian missions have a Nictus Portal similar to the CoT portal that you have to destroy while it spews out lobsters and squids.

    This is just from what someone told me, not from personal experience.

    I just want to second all of this. I just did the DE mission where they gas the building and there's a green glow everywhere and water pouring in the center. The effect on immersion when the mission actually looks like the description is excellent. When deciding what to upgrade, I would encourage the devs that new mission art gives the most improvement per effort of anything they could do on the game.

    I'd wait a year for new zones if it meant all the currently existing missions would be unique.

There's an easy way to do a Kaiju fight - You go to an instanced mission with a new tileset - "Tiny City" where everything under your feet is the scale of the tiny buildings in an Ultraman episode or Godzilla movie. You also get a temporary power like "Throw Building" or "Throw Power Line" that works like Throw Boulder. Voila : Monster Fight!
  22. Just to respond to doubters and such, I made sure that nothing I put on the list wasn't in a recent red-name post. I even relegated the stuff that hadn't been a red-name post in several months to that back-burner category at the bottom. My post has been a place to catalog the most likely features coming, and dispel specualation, not increase it. Thanks, States, for the preview of more mini-events!

    Hopefully, we can also look forward to more mission revampings, like they did with the Freaklympics, Dr. Vazh, and Tsoo tatto parlour (dare I dream, a Vegas-style Family gambling den?)

  25. My wish is simple... if the Character Models currently on Test go Live (shudder) , then some way to switch Allstar back to his handsome self as he is on Champion now, so I can go back to playing CoH.
