Speaking as an IT Guy in the US.... I can say I don't own a single Tuxedo
As far as Con's goes.. try being in the North East... You'd think that with Boston 5 hours away from me, Toronto 5 hours away from me, and New York City 4 Hours away from me there'd be more than one major con once every few years. Of course I found out about the last one about a month too late... *grumble* -

Yes b/c one or two people out of 30+ on staff will cause everything to come to a crashing halt... go back in your hole troll. -
Wow.. got all ready to go through my litany of things I want to see.. but everyone's covered them 10 fold! Glad to see we're all on the same SG page.
One thing I'd like to add: SG Stats on the CoH Website.
Lets get CoH's DB's posting current rosters, ranking of individuals in the sg, etc..give the SG's a page of their own that they can set to have the MoTD display on it and allow the SG to put their website link on it. -
We'll be discussing this on Justice Radio tonight, I'd welcome anyone's in-game e-mails or instant messages about this topic and the others we're going to discuss today. The show starts at 3 p.m. Pacific, 6 p.m. Eastern and will last for 2 hours.
To tune in, head to www.justiceradio.us and click the Tune In now Link.
While your there check our forums, there is a Jester's Court forum dedicated to this show you are always welcome to post thoughts there as well.
Hope you tune in!

Not to mention the Global Chat and Respec situation... Would it have hurt to hold back release by one week? We've waited since November, whats one more week to get us fewer bugs and some actual feed back on the last couple weeks worth of testing?
-
Why is it everyone is so focused on soloing?
This affects large groups just as much if not more so. Has anyone tried the respec trial on the test server? Only one groups actually reported they've been able to beat it. Others have gone in 4, 5, 6, 7 times all experienced players many who play well together all the time and they CAN'T BEAT IT beacuse of the boss change.
There is a LOT more being affected than soloing. Stop focusing on the solo and look at the bigger picture.
Missions scale up, some missions scale up to the point where there are 3, 4, or more bosses tightly packed into a small area, agroing one group without getting them all sometimes is nearly impossible to do. Especially if a controller has pets.
The TV Trial has 4 bosses in the average group. At one point a team that I was on was doing fair until the waves started in the reactor core, then becuase of the boss change we could not defeat the bosses quick enough and we ended up with 15 to 20 Freakshow Tanks attacking us and the core. Of course that immediately caused mission failure since it was hard enough for our team of six to stay alive with the increased damage from 2 tanks, let alone 15 or 20. -

Awwww.... poor widdle muffin. Did the Howwows Huwt You?
Get a grip. The mission placement should be a challenge. Do you just want every contact to hand you a door mission, that happens to be a block away, that happens to have REALLY easy foes to kill, which gives you enough exp to get 10 levels per mission?
People will complain about the stupidest things. Sure, I've had alts that have died in the Hollows... but my stupidity is to blame. I decide to shortcut through the red zone, and get my [censored] handed to me... lesson learned.
Any time I've had a difficult-to-reach mission, I've merely taken my time, and taken safe routes... and I've never had a problem that way.

Actually the original theory behind the mission placements (as said by Statesman during an interview at one of the con's I beleive) was that it was intended for heros to street hunt on their way to and from missions. The placement of many missions especially at the lower levels are placed in areas that are nothing but purple cons to the hero preventing this form happening. -

"For the most part, everyone will be able to solo in some situations. Some builds and ATs more than others. But there are some mobs that can be a challenge - bosses, elite bosses, AV's and monsters - where you'll probably want help. Or not."
[/ QUOTE ]
EXACTLY. Bosses weren't meant to be solo-able UNLESS a particular player used Inspirations & strategy. Hence, the Help text & tutorial indicate that a player "probably" should get other friends to take out a boss.
Some builds are clearly better than others at taking out bosses.

Sure Statesman, but your change to bosses has had many more affects than soloing characters. Please respond to those posts in the numerous other threads.

I love the idea of having offline SG members 'hanging around' at the base.
WHAT If you make a Recreation Room that all offline characters end up in. SG Members would be able to enter, but no one else, aka its always a locked door. This would protect the offline characters and still leave them hangin out watchin tv, playing arcade games, playing pool, whatever.
I know my co-leader for The Department of Inter-Dimensional Defense, Dr. Quantum would LOVE to have a lab and have his character always in it 'working' when he's not online. Hell he'd probably start a second account just so he could go in and watch that.
Recluse, there are a lot of good ideas to make this feaseable. Please look at it. I think it would be great.
You could even set it up so that people have an option they can set for what actions their character are doing once they log out. They automatically respawn at the SG base doing whatever action (playing pool, video game, watching tv, sleeping, etc..) It would just give the whole thing that well used feel.
A lot of houses in other games / guild halls always seem so unnecessary since they're almost ALWAYS empty. -
Statesman, I play an Empathy/Electric Defender. I lead a large SG on Justice, the likely hood of having multiple electric users in a group is slim to none. Its not like hold and immobilize where there are SEVERAL AT's that have these abilities. The only ones who drain end is electric users, so blasters and defenders. Even my Thunderous Blast against an AV 3 levels below me barely does damage and doesn't end drain enough to move their endurance bar. If it does they regen it so fast you can't notice.
On the Thunderous Blast note, it should be noted I don't have a single End Drain S/O on it, I have 3 Recharge and 3 Damage.
I do have short circuit six slotted with Endurance Drains, I can drain any boss 3 levels above me nearly totally of endurance so long as I don't miss totally. I have NEVER seen this power do anything against an AV OR Monster level Villain at any level. I went through and beat down Adamaster for the badge (I'm currently 48, he was 20something) I could not drain his end at all.
Are you saying its an ALL or Nothing kind of thing against these levels of Villains? You either have enough people to beat past his resistance and drain him completely or you don't do any noticeable damage to that pesky blue bar? That sure seems how it is to me. -

Babbage or Psychic Babbage (two different beasts)?
As for the kill stealing... several groups can get "badge credit" off one monster... just like several heroes can get defeat credit off one villain.
[/ QUOTE ]
Wait... What Psychic Babbage?? There is a Psychic Clockwork King, one of the first Portal Corp missions but I've done everyone I could get my hands on since and never found a mission with Babbage in it after 40.
