Yeah, pretty meh for my tastes this week.
-
On the other hand, it finally addressed a part of the game that I think caused MANY players to quit, which was, having no end game compared to other MMOs.

Quote:A lot of what you have said in this thread is based off fear of the unknown. It would be far easier for us to determine a good fit for you if you listed the old programs you are nervous about losing so we can check if it works in Win 7 64./headdesk
What I thought was a good deal on Win7 turns out to be OEM/System Builder garbage. You know, the version that (supposedly) locks to a specific configuration. Forget that noise.
I guess now I have to find a copy of XP 64 bit that works and isn't a scam/burned copy.
Sorry for wasting everyone's time.
XP 64 is out of the question if you ask me, especially if you are already thinking of changing systems so soon that you destroy the entire idea because of a system builder version. XP is losing all support in 2014 if I remember right.
...also, might as well get used to DRM. Everything will end up having it eventually, except shareware. All consoles have it, unless you are illegally modding them too. -
If it is too bright, you want to alter your monitor/gamma settings. If you can't read text on a white background, say, like Wikipedia, then yes, it is too bright. If it is NOT too bright to read Wikipedia, then Super Speed's obnoxious brightness bringing migraines is all in your head - honest.

My big burnout phase was after issue 16. Several of us felt the same way. I was gone for only 5 months at that point.
Lo and behold, they decide to add Ultra settings to issue 17 partway through before GR hit. I came back and haven't lapsed since.
I am temporarily burnt out on melee classes at the moment. I think it is very easy to argue against the OP's points but he has his honest opinion out there and I disagree with much of it. The 'lack of teaming due to so many trials' even contradicts itself. Maybe he meant it as a complaint about itrials instead? -
-
Heck maybe there won't be any during issue 23's run at all - but who knows.

Quote:I think it will be completely the opposite. I am fairly sure more people would buy water blast over an armor set.I think I will reserve judgement until I actually see the water effects for myself...
I think it's more likely that Bio Armor will be a pay set and Water Blast a free-to-subscribers set. Simply because there are no defensive pay sets yet. The new tech for absorb is just as new as the new tech that might hypothetically exist for water. -
Quote:Yes this is what I mean regarding the proc - I realize that I made it sound that I put the whole set in the ST hold.Put 5 pieces in a long-recharge AoE control. Put the proc in your ST hold unless you are /Dark, /Earth, /Psi and maybe /Thorns. (Midnight Grasp, Seismic Smash, and Subdue are all top-shelf attacks that can take the Dom proc, meaning you don't have to waste animation cycles on your ST hold in a pure beatdown fight. Impale takes the set, but I can never decide if I'm *using* Impale on a Thorns dom, part of why I deleted that toon.) Oh, wait. /Energy, too, in Total Focus.
Otherwise, yeah. ST Hold for the proc, the other 5 in an AoE control. -
The more we talk about this, the more I think a stone melee/energy aura brute would be crazy fun. Tons of mitigation in the primary and secondary, unlimited endurance and plenty of recharge. No redraw.

It's the same as Breath of Fire or whatever, I think, and yes ice patch is similar to the one tankers get.
-
Not bad - no hasten, and the loss of frost breath kinda hurts, but yeah, pretty nice.
-
Didn't read the whole thread, but in your Mids build I noticed you had Hasten turned on. I know this sound really simple, but I get more mileage out of having Domination on auto and having to hit hasten when it comes up. I had it reversed initially and it just doesn't work quite as well. Like I said, it's a simple thing that shouldn't really matter, but for me it did.
-
Honestly I get a ton of mileage out of it by tossing it in my single target hold.
-
Energy Aura also boosts your offense, considering the recharge it grants.
-
Fire/Rads.
If you want some variation, the craziest superteam I was on wasn't all the same powerset. It was called Brutal Speed where everyone was electric or fire brutes combined with kinetic corruptors. It was insane. -
Yeah, and all those damage buffs from Pain Dom doesn't do much for most MMs.
-
Yeah, well I love them, so no doubt I will try this, but it kinda depends on how well all this stacked -damage goes with absorption and regen.
-
Ah so they changed it - the pics that were leaked did not indicate damage toggles.
-
Man, that reminds me of how our Super Jump used to look and sound.
The sound wouldn't turn off, and the rings behind you were a bright solid yellow. -
Yeah it depends how it is set up - this could be a pseudo-pet that can be toggled off, but we will see. The Energy Orbs powerset idea uses pseudo pets, to answer the next question.
EDIT: just noticed it is a heal over time, not regen -
Quote:...and, even though I read it, this could very easily fall under TLDR for many.Tons of views + no comments usually means people didn't see anything that struck them as needing changing. We all may want people to see our posted build(s) and come into the thread and say, "Good job," but we will have to settle instead for silence as affirmation.

Poison is likely to be sent to defenders too.
