  1. Hi,

    I've been wondering what is the case with Power customization, and to specify, I've been wondering whether we are to see more customization options or not.

    I think I've read somewhere that the Devs have promised us more power customization in the future, but as I am not fully certain about this, I'd like to ask Devs/players if we'll get more possibilities with Power customization in the future. (Please note, I am not holding my breath for more animations as I don't outright feel we lack some and can accept waiting years for more to come.)

    I mainly began to think of this due to a thought about adding more animations to Martial Arts powers, as it seemed to me like there are some basic Martial Arts maneuvers that the current animations have yet to cover. Keep in mind though, I don't think that the game will feel incomplete without further animations, I just wanna know if MA, along with many of the other powersets in the game, at some point will get more animations.
  2. I bet that with the addition of the other incarnate powers (Reactive Total Radial Interface+ comes to mind), I'm sure the "less damaging secondaries" could pull off an MoLRSF as well. Fill me in on the results once someone's tried xD

    Also, big gratz on the achievement! Even though you never died, I'm sure it must've been a tough couple hours for your concentration
  3. I quite often play on my stalker in Union, too. In fact, I play with it so much I dare say it's my main :3

    I really haven't understood why Stalkers get so little respect from the players! I mean sure, they are not as resistant as Scrappers and they don't have access to that much AoE, but why should that be bad? I often get the feeling that my stalker, albeit battling at a lower difficulty than my other toons (x3), is one of my strongest toons, for the simple matter that her ST damage is so strong as it is. You see, in my book, a toon that can destroy +2/+3 bosses without the biggest qualms is just as good as the toon that can break through a mob of +0/x8 in 30 seconds! And most importantly, my Stalker is so interesting to me because I HAVE FUN PLAYING HER.

    Furthermore, I certainly feel that Stalkers team experiences can be best shown in the Incarnate trials!
    - Generally, their AS can deal a lot of damage to the AV's in question
    - On Lambda, a lvl 50+3 Stalker should be very much able to single-handedly take out a glowie like other toons indeed, although with the chance of attracting less followers thanks to Hide
    - Keyes is in fact one of my main's best trial experiences, as she's a DM/Regen (bye bye AM Pulse), AM pulse does not break hide and she can easily get a lot of temps from glowies unnoticed, thanks to her Hide

  5. I agree, a nice Morality mission indeed I look forward to getting a melee toon in there to beat up Arachnos' forces

    Also, can't we please stay out of the hating of the Incarnate system? It's already being discussed into death in many other threads

    Annoyingly short and somewhat vague answer: Theme, as with MANY other power decisions.

    An example of my own is a planned toon, which is in fact a toon that I deleted some time ago due to... I dunno. Nonetheless, I figure him as a BS/Regen toon, which thematically is to be the leader of another self made faction of mine. I certainly plan to roll him as a TW/Regen (or WP), but a lot of it depends on whether he can get the nictus sword, as it has quite the importance for the toon's power symbolicness.

    That said, I don't see the link between Titanic Weapons and lack of skill. IMO, a warrior certainly can master wielding a Titanic Weapon as well as a regular sized one, it just depends on determination.

  8. Could someone please help me out here? I'm trying to update the Launcher, but everytime it gets to around 33 %, the following message shows up:

    "City of Heroes encountered an error last time it tried to perform an operation. Repairing may help resolve the issue.

    (Translated) Access to path was denied."

    I have tried repairing it about 20 times with no luck, and choosing the "View Log"-button only results in a very big word-document with many many codes Could anyone help here?

  10. Thanks for the help, Infini! While you're idea for a build didn't change much of my own, you made me realise a fact with perma-hasten, so thank you for your feedback

    About the ice mastery, I did realise that that set could help with the def of my toon, but I don't think I'll want that set for my toon, as it doesn't seem right with the theme I got with him. I won't outright say that Psi mastery fits that much either, but I'd prefer the epic pool to not be so visually effecting on the toon (as Frozen Armor does IMO).

    So, as my last toon has just reached 50, I'm beginning to get curious about making this toon, a Mind/thorn perma-dom with somewhat much of def. The character is very important to me, as I'm planning this to be the "catalyst" of a theme-heavy project of mine.

    Now, the advice I need is more help, as I would like the toon to get perma-hasten/dom without so many of the purples I'm using. So I would like some help from you guys to keep hasten/dom perma while making the build cheaper and easier to build. If the need emerges, feel free to remove some of the def bonuses, I don't even know if I need that anyway.

    Well, there goes my speculation about First Ward being the solo version of the Incarnate system :P Though, it does fit better as a Praetorian zone anyway.
  15. I myself have a WM/WP Brute at lvl 32, but am enjoying him a lot! He really brings a SMASH-impression on ya, so you got green light from me to reroll as WM/WP The main problem I can see in the build is that the dude here isn't very fond of too much high burst damage, as he ain't got THAT much res, meaning that his survivability also is based a lot on RttC, but I trust you know of these issues if you've played him as a Tank ;P

    Really love the many costume updates I see here, it really is impressive!

    No worries, I have big love for Void <3 Tbh I really like the upper tiers of it; sure is lovely to hit targets 50 ft away from ya in any direction! Also, I think the animation makes it seem like the most powerful of the Judgements (from Character movement perspective).

    I generally like the debuffs the Interfaces give, as I believe it can help a great way in blocking out our weaknesses (Also, my stalker is looking much forward to her Total Radial Reactive Interface to help with making her ST damage spread out :3 )
  18. According to facebook, the European Character copy tool should be working now. The thing is, whatever character I try to add either on the beta or test server gives me this message in return: "That name is invalid." (Or something rather close to it) What is this bug now???

  20. About the very idea, I think it'd be cool! It would certainly please some RP'ers, and if some of the abovementioned balancewise ideas would be added, I think that I personally would take more fights with these guys!

    On the subject of knockback, should anyone have a sick twist towards knockback powers in game, I have a mission that can be as fun as a box of monkeys!
    Do Captain Mako's second arc (the one where you must betray him), set the difficulty at x8 and when you do the mission where you're gonna betray Mako, you'll laugh anything off of you that you don't mind laughing off! Ya see, a large percentage of the "enemies" on the map are Water spouts, and trust me, one of my teammates were seriously in the mission 10 minutes AFTER WE HAD CLEARED IT, because of the roller coaster he got with all the KU!

    Second, I have gotten some ingame advice that I have added in the build (as well as the abovementioned errors in the build). I will be posting the new build tried adjusting the sl def.

    And here is the build. I have 2 different sets in HPT and CC with different bonuses, please tell me which one you think I should use to get the best overall defense benefit.

  24. Well, my IO bonus goal is to try and get him to capped exotic dmg. I assumed I dealt with recharge with Spiritual, but am yet to decide if I should go that way. Will soft-capped s/l really be that important on the toon with the other kinds of defense as high as they are?

    EDIT: There is an error in the build. Jawbreaker is supposed to be 6-slotted with Touch of Death, not 4 Kinetic Combats and 2 Touch of Deaths. Furthermore, the resistance set in High Pain Tolerance should be Reactive Armor instead of Aegis.
  25. Thanks to a new longer scale project on my end, an old toon of mine, a WM/WP brute, has been getting some attention of mine lately. The toon is currently at lvl 28, and he hasn't been getting attention in some time. Example: He still has fitness un-inherent :P

    Now, I have made a build for him that also includes some Incarnate powers. I would like some advice from people with more experience with one of the sets (or the whole combo for that matter) on what to choose as Alpha for one thing, and secondly if there are other tweaks I can do to the set that makes it better (more offensive, more defensive, whatever you think is best for a WM/WP brute).
