She spawns like every hour in a series of spots that encircle the lower island in the lake, plus a spot just east of the War Witch. Easy to find.

Then pull them back when the car gets critically low and send them on a directed attack again after they reach you. Only time my MM pets get hurt by car explosions is if I get distracted by wandering off to kill a fire hydrant, mail or news box...

Quote:Huh. You take other /Rads, eh? Guess that's why someone asked my Ill/Rad (Ulterion, L41) to join up last night for a Fire/Rads... Figured they were just being stupid and couldn't read the "Illusion/Radiation" at the beginning of my team finder note.In any case, the big guy, Kul, is a Mental/Rad who joined up. He was not fun in caves.
(no offense intended to whoever that was, by the way, if they're reading this.)
Alas, my computer sucks and I have a hard enough time keeping my FPS above 10 as it is when I've got my debuffs on something and my PAs & Phantasm are going all-out, much less when on teams, so I would've declined even if I hadn't thought it was a mistaken tell. Oh, well.

Meh. That noise is nothing compared to the misery the tier 2's constant howling brings to everyone around them. We really need a setting to mute pet idle noises without having to mute the rest of the game. Especially for glowie hunts and when at the Arbiter or Black Market (fortunately, I'm one of those very few considerate ones who dismisses his pets in those areas).

Perhaps it was how many hours the character's been offline since creation? After all, "Patrol XP" is gained while offline, so...
-
Hmm. My Phantom Army attacks with no problems. It *does* seem like I have to summon/lead them a little closer than I used to have to before they aggro, but once they get in range there are no problems.
-
Why waste the teleport? Just dismiss it and resummon.
-
Nope. My Phantasm usually stays away. Occasionally he'll run in, but no more so than he did pre-I17. And yours keeps dying? Strange. My Ill/Rad's reached L40 and the only time his Phantasm's died is when I was fighting an SC fire and he came back from fighting Hellions and hovered into a fire next to the one I was fighting. :P
And it's a good thing for your Fly Trap to go into melee range: its melee attacks are stronger than its ranged. -
Yep, it'd be a magnitude 9.00 hold. Unfortunately, the timers are all kept track of individually, so Petrifying Gaze will wear off well before the other two.
-
Lightning Field's definitely a keeper - but you should probably keep it off for general use and only whip it out while soloing when you've got spawns larger than the normal 2-3 foes. Once you have SOs and 3 EndRedux (and 2 Dam and 1 Acc, for non-set stuff), you can keep it up all the time.

You are rooted if you fire while standing still and attempt to move during the firing... (and, as noted, if you fire while already in motion, it doesn't root)
-
"Epic" in CoH refers to their storyline, which is "extending beyond the usual or ordinary especially in size or scope" compared to the regular storylines in-game (since their narrative goes from level 1 to 50 instead of being just a bunch of smaller stories tied together). At least for Kheldians. For Arachnos they seem to be using the more common interpretation in games of 'epic' referring only to power levels...
-
Nope. The tier 1 & 2 attacks don't root you at all as a Soldier. Not even the slightest pause if you fire while moving. Heavy Burst (dunno about later attacks - my SoA's only L9) roots you, however.
Whether or not it's all working as intended or not... *shrug* Not a clue. -
...though you should still take it if you find you have room. Being able to bring a 'bot from a sliver of health to full in one go is very useful since there will be times that the shields and spamming Warmth & Cauterize won't be enough, especially if you play above +0/x1.

It's a long way to level 22 (I know, it's 20, but Stamina comes first). Not everyone power levels, after all.
-
It would have to be a Claws/Super Reflexes Stalker, of course, that being the closest equivalent for power sets to the Night Widow. No sense comparing other Stalker combos since they would be too different.
-
Nothing wrong with Gale. Dunno about you, but I don't like it when I get pounded into paste because my Controller's AoE immobilization missed several melee types who then decided they wanted to play... Gale has saved my various /Storm Controllers many times.

The darker the color choices, the easier the force fields are to see through.

Enhancing the knockback on the power will enhance its magnitude - which affects both the chance of having an effect (which is your power's magnitude minus the target's own knockback resistance magnitude) and the distance (again, controlled by the difference between your magnitude and their resistance).
However, it will not affect any listed percentage chance of applying the knockback effect your power may have. -

So have many other people I've talked to. Hell, if you've recovered performance, you're lucky. I haven't, despite turning things down further than they already were. :/ (you'd think a 256MB nVidia video card from a year after the game was released would be good enough for non-Ultra Mode settings to be up, but nooooo... Same goes for an '06 Sempron @ 1.6GHz :/)

The game definitely seems to be spewing far more stuff down the pipe than it used to. When I approach a busy WW's (Talos & Steel) or BM (Cap), for example, the netgraph ends up maxing out for several seconds as I freeze and rubberband towards the AH - and it's overloading my 5mbit connection since when that happens the 24kbit audio streams I normally listen to while playing cuts out for the duration (they were never affected by anything happening in-game pre-I17).
The CPU tends to get overloaded now as well when I zone. Loading screens tend to take a while, so I used to use that 30s or so to alt-tab over to my browser to do a quick mail check and suchlike. Now I can't - while loading, everything slows to a crawl and it can take 10+ seconds for that alt-tab to take effect, plus more time for any browser links (as an example) to register.
Leaving my graphics settings as they were pre-I17, I've lost around 5fps (which is considerable in some of the busier zones - used to average 15-18 or so in Atlas, Talos, Mercy, and Cap, but now it floats around 10-12) overall. Managed to gain most of it back by reducing terrain texture quality from my normal High to Medium and character quality from Very High to High, as well as turning the draw distances for both down to 80%.
Admittedly, my GeForce 7300LE's not the best card out there, but it rather sucks that I have to run a game released a full year before the card came out at those settings (as well as particle physics off [with count down to 10k], shaders, shadows, antialiasing/antioscopic filtering, depth of field, desaturation, and bloom off; was able to have shadows on low and depth & desat on pre-I17). :/ Several other people, including the leader of the SG & VG my characters belong to on Freedom, I've talked to in-game have had to reduce their graphics quality levels as well and still aren't running as smoothly as they did pre-I17.
And, of course, the enhancement screen illegibility sucks as well. Doesn't matter as much for respecs (at least if you weren't planning to reslot some enhancements purely because of their level) as it does for replacing existing ones. Bet there'll be many people who accidentally spend Inf, merits or tickets on recipes it turns out that they already had the same or a better level on (I know I can't remember the levels of everything I have, or the effect % of every type of effect at every level, so the tooltip's next to useless for that). -
Hope you didn't spend any money doing that. Maybe it wasn't that way before, but now unlocking them on any server unlocks them everywhere (just checked on Justice where I have no 20s).
-
Quote:Except that it's not actually easy to get to 50 (especially without AE exploits). The devs also said that the number of people with 50s was in the minority. We do know that many of them thought that unlocking archetypes at 50 was always a bad idea.
We also know that lots of folks weren't playing them. Some say that was because you had to have a level 50 to unlock them, but with how easy it is to get to 50, I don't accept that opinion. -
Even at 1024x768 the numbers on icon enhancements (slotted or in the tray on the management screen) are too small to read.
If they're going to keep them that small, then they definitely need to add the level number to the enhancement's tooltips for the vast majority of us who can't remember every enhancement type's effect percentages at every level.
