I believe it also controls the levels of their drops.

My plan is to level him to 50 as soon as I can (he's 39) and then do as many trials as I can to unlock some incarnate slots.
Are you aware that you lose all incarnate powers when you exemp below level 45?

Thank you, Captain Obvious! Gee, we should apply that line of thinking to every endeavor and get everything right on the first try for the rest of eternity. It would make life so much easier!

Or, and here's a bold idea, we could use the existing and well-populated channel that already exists: Infinity Hamidon

Reading comprehension fail, eh? The discussion was not about offering guidance on how to do it better. The OP was stating that they had a bad experience due to a bad leader. You can judge the quality of the leader without personally being able to do better. Using your own examples, the OP is the guy who never played baseball who can tell you that the Pirates stink. Nothing more was being claimed. To state that they need personal experience to even make that simple a judgement is total BS.

(FYI, personally, I can. I have led them and it is easy.)

    Anyone else?

Emergency maintenance. Everyone has been getting that. As of the last update, about 45 minutes, still no ETA for the servers being back up.

    Just checked - not up.
  11. Also, you should set the launcher to exit after starting the game. The launcher has a memory leak.
  12. Emergency!
Please proceed to the exit in a calm and orderly manner.

You still can. At least, as recently as last month. Maybe the market has gone to hell since then?

I routinely keep bids up for things I know I will need. I consistently get Luck of the Gambler +recharge for 60-70 million inf.

Yes, there is a place to look them up. There is an entire page about game abbreviations on ParagonWiki.com, which is a great resource in general.

For team invites: It would be helpful to know recommended minimum lvl range (for powers), Hero (b)/Villian(r?)/Praetorian(g), and apx. time to finish assuming a full team.
Unless a task force is planned, the minimum level isn't really an issue. You will be auto-sidekicked up to whatever level the team is operating at. Task forces have minimum team sizes, minimum level restrictions and lock the team in, prevent you from adding people along the way.

You're right; it's not a surprise at all. We're coming up on what is certainly the biggest change to the game since CoV was added, possibly the biggest change ever. There's a big hardware upgrade to get everything ready so, yeah, extra downtime is expected.

    I'm excited!
  17. This week we will do Maria Jenkins' arc "A Hero's Epic". This is the new Praetorian arc (the old one is named "A Hero's Hero"). This arc will get you most of the Praetorians required for the Portal Jockey accolade. We haven't done this in quite a while.

Saturday, August 27 at 1 PM EDT
A Hero's Epic (Praetorian arc from Maria Jenkins)
    Level <see below>
    No minimum number of players.

Regarding the level requirement, we may be doing this through Ouroboros which would impose a level requirement and restrict participation to Heroes and Vigilantes. However, I should be able to get the actual arc directly from Maria by Saturday. In that case, there would be no level restriction and Rogues would be able to join us. I'll post in this thread when/if I get the arc.

    1. Ironblade - either Al Pine (plant/cold controller) or Chromatic Cat (inv/dark tank).
    2. ChrisMoses maybe
    3. GATE-keeper - Magius Aegis (ill/storm controller)
    4. Ad Astra - somebody
    5. Elllls - maybe, if his brother gets out of town early enough
    6. AngelicaVenger - somebody
    7. Flux Overlord - Cortikal (mind/kin controller)

Yeah, the magnitude of the pulse damage is just stupid. I ran the trial once on a character who didn't have top-notch self-healing. ONCE. Never again. Fortunately, my badge toon is /regen so I may actually get all those badges some day. Maybe.

I would shorten the reactor phase. Seriously, do we need to do that bit THREE TIMES with minor window-dressing changes?

    I knew that.
I got under that floor once. I've also gotten behind the counter in City Hall and into the dam area of Faultline before it was opened up. You can also get into the cooling pool under the floor in the Terra Volta reactor room - but that's actually easy.

A new peak of cluelessness. Learn about the stock market. And ignore Flea's comment about brokers. I buy low and sell high on the market and (aside from the money), it gains me admiration. I have yet to have anyone show scorn or tell me my actions were dishonorable. To be fair, if anyone did, I and everyone nearby would laugh in their face.

Absolutely BS analogy. Any tangible good has a cost of production. From there, you can actually come up with a 'fair price'. Obviously what's 'fair' is subject to opinion, but the starting point (the actual cost) is fixed.

In CoH, the cost to create the items is ZERO. They drop on you out of the void. There is no cost so there is no basis to determine a 'fair' price. The only factors to determine the price are how many there are and how many people want the item - i.e. supply and demand.

Fortunately, there is no need for "protection" from the devs against these dishonorable gouging vermin. You already have the ultimate protection - don't buy it.

You can justify it to yourself in any way you like, I don't care but don't pretend it is the honorable thing to do.
BS line of reasoning. They didn't TAKE anything out of your pocket. YOU chose to spend it. If 10 million is too high, don't pay it. The choice is yours. Because you were impatient (in the example), you spent more than needed and then whine about other people being dishonorable. Not seeing much honor, or integrity, in those actions.
