That's a slap in the face!

I bought Good vs Evil, Architect Edition and Going Rogue. I deserve compensation for the extra funds I paid. I think this needs to be settled in court!

    I ... I ... I think I was channeling another thread.

Just to be sure, what was the section name on the screen? Each section of the list tells you what it is.
  3. I don't recall the minimum level, but I do recall that it is set stupidly low. If you're at the minimum level, you're pretty much dead weight - like bringing someone to a mothership raid who is still using DO's.

    Admiral Sutter?

If I'm the general, I don't debate. I will have you taken out and shot.

Sadly, that's how a lot of people just are. They do something stupid/offensive/wrong/whatever and when there are consequences, THEY'RE the victim. THEY'RE being persecuted.

You are wrong. Or, at least, that what we were told BY A REDNAME. We were told that petitioning infringing names or costumes is an intended use of the petition and that it helps the game.

If you say there's no reason for it, but a redname said it helps the game, guess who I will believe.
  6. Wow. Five times the OP said he was done with the thread but kept coming back. I actually pay attention to stuff like that and think this might be a new record.

Seriously, you seem to have an axe to grind. Or perhaps several. And you're bring up things going back years. Some things have been gnawing at you for a long time? Let it go.

This flat out INSANE idea that the community in this game has ever been anything special blows my mind. This COMMUNITY is the largest group of egocentric close minded individuals I have ever met. Nice people? Sure. But so wrapped up in themselves they can't possible accept that anyone ever feels differently than them and WONT let things drop until the other party leaves or just nods their head in agreement.

This community is great as long as you go hand in hand with what ever the popular sentiment is at the time. Now that things like raiding, and gear, and micro-transactions have come out you are starting to get wedges slammed between what was once a cohesive wall of self righteous ignorance. I have usually been on the other side of the fence so this is nothing new to me.
Got it. You're special. And in the previous paragraph, you were just tearing into people for being "egocentric".
The irony is strong in this one.

But what if there are zombies and it's a disease and spreading? Who cares if it's in the middle of the city - you need to nuke them! Of course, it didn't turn out well in the movie, but that's beside the point.

Firstly, any pack that you feel is a "cash grab" is a pack that you should not buy. No one is making you buy ANY OF THEM. I didn't feel the Party and Wedding packs had enough items I liked to be worth the cost - until they put them on sale for half off. Then I bought them.

Second, you specifically mention the Martial Arts pack which I thought was outstanding. I bought that one INSTANTLY. There was no lack of wow factor or quality there. It may not have been to YOUR liking, but that's fine.

To me, that is a display of avarice akin to graverobbing, by people who appear to believe the world exists to give them a posh life despite their contributing nothing of value.
What a crock. The property becomes abandoned. The storage business decides to auction it off. And you say the people who buy it are parasites? Where does that come from? If no one buys the stuff, it goes into a dumpster. Is that somehow better?

  13. I would think most people either have Villains/Rogues, or heroes they have taken Vigilante. Having run through all of the hero Task Forces, I think we should go through the villain Strike Forces.

So, unless this idea is met with howls of outrage, we'll do 'The Beast Beneath The Mountain' (Virgil Tarikoss) SF next weekend.

If you've played, for example, 13000+ hours as Turg reports, then you'dve been playing roughly a fifth of the TOTAL time passed since launch. That's almost 5 hours a day, every day, for the past 7+ years. That just isn't feasable. Which sucks, because it's an interesting question.
They seem perfectly accurate to me. And yes, my main is over 10,500 hours.

Always. I'm not sure it's as long as a week but, yes, we will ALWAYS get advance warning. They made an explicit commitment to that. On the occasion they failed in that commitment, they then issued ANOTHER freespec with appropriate advance warning.

That's a good example? First of all, the rewards are based on ACTUAL TIMES to run the TF's. They didn't pick the numbers out of thin air.
Secondly, having run both of them this week, Renault was much faster.

Now I'll point out that a handful of runs by different people with different teams are essentially meaningless.

For *ME*, the biggest problem redside is something that can't be fixed. I don't like being a villain. It has nothing to do with the powersets, the contacts or the zones - I don't like playing a bad guy.

    This.

Pretty much anyone can mess with the market if they feel inclined. And by "the market", I mean "one item or very few". If someone is messing with an item that you want, COME BACK LATER. There's a sucker born every minute. If someone is manipulating an item and you shell out millions for a piece of junk salvage because you need it NAO, then YOU ARE THE SUCKER.

is apparently referring to COMBAT levels and NOT mission levels. So you were actually discussing BOTH in your post. If that's not what you meant, then this line is phrased very badly.

  24. And it's worth noting that, just as the Veteran attack damage (Sands of Mu, Nemesis Staff, etc) can not be buffed, they can not be debuffed either (since a debuff is simply a negative buff). They will do normal damage during a Rage crash.
