Just want to know if it's possible to kick the owner of a Supergroup.

It'd be such a drag if get removed from a supergroup that I founded and built from the ground up after mistrusting someone and promoting them to a rank that has kicking capabilities or abilities to adjust the natural demotion rate

I've never been demoted myself though due to inactivity

No, the owner is god (unless they're demoted by inactivity, as you said).

Just to clarify, you mention it's possible for the founder to be demoted due to inactivity? I've recently had a few people join and was trying to figure this out. Before anyone joined I had been inactive for quite some time, on and off, but never received a demotion.

Kindof makes sense anywho, considering the permissions and how that might break the function of a supergroup if the only person were demoted.

The super leader (big red star) is the owner of the SG and has the power to kick anyone else in the SG. The only ways for a super leader to loose control would be by him promoting someone to his rank (thus turning the red star over) or by him being inactive long enough for the auto demote feature to kick in. I don't know if this has changed but it used to be that the first SG member to log in after the super leader was auto demoted ended up with the red star regardless of his starting rank. This could lead to a bottom rank member ending up with control.

I'd advise caution in who you invite to the SG and only give those you trust access to the important stuff. For example you could have an inspiration bin accessible to everyone and other bins that only higher ranks can use. The same goes for enhancement tables... basic stuff goes into the general bin while the valuable stuff is restricted to high rank members.

I believe the auto demote can be set for up to 45 days.

If you (generic you) are going to be away for any length of time, and you want to keep your SG/base the safest thing to do is kick the other players. That's the only way to guarantee the you will retain ownership when you return.

The devs and CS will not help you if someone else gets the red star/Super Leader rank and refuses to give it up.

The reason for this was because CS was being inundated with stupid petty complaints over SG politics by players that couldn't get along. So they made the Super Leader rank and made that rank the defacto SG/Base owner and now they refuse to get involved.

The Super Leader was also added to allow replacement of top rank folks who never log in anymore. When the settings are set to only allow the top rank or two access.

We had this issue in the Iron Eagles II SG where the SG.... and, especially, the base, was worthless due to the couple folks in the top 2 ranks never logging in. Almost all the SG was in the bottom 2 ranks, which had few permissions, with only a few in the higher ranks at all.

Eventually, the 45 day timer knocked them down to where an active player could gain Super Leader control to reset Rent paying, base access, and editing rights and other other SG settings, like promotions.

Fortunately, the "Invite to SG" had been set low enough for the rank and file folks to least do that during that time.

We now try to make sure that the active players are promoted high to keep the SG active.
