Quote:He does, but you don't have to get it. He tracks what arcs you do whether you have spoken to him or not.In regards to Taskmaster Gabriel, I'm not entirely sure I understand how he works. Does he give you a mission that you need to keep in your mission list while you complete all the other arcs?
Quote:And you have to complete all the DA arcs in a single week? Lastly, what defines "a week"?
As for what "a week" means, for the Signature arc 'one week' timer, it actually means 6.75 days (6 days, 18 hours). I have not checked Gabriel's timer (like I did for the Signature arcs) but it seems likely to be the same duration. -

The preceding was a test of the emergency forum system.
Had this been an actual emergency, oxygen masks would have dropped from the cabin ceiling. -
Quote:There's nothing to support. If you personally are dissatisfied with the drop rate, that's a factual statement. It doesn't need support or documentation.I believe it is a game play problem. It's evidence that there are many players who are dissatisfied with the reward percentages of the solo path and we're acquiring data to support that assertion.
Personally, I would be curious to know if the rarity distribution is the same as the iTrial drop table. -
Quote:You know, there's a good chance that nothing was actually removed. If you dedicated 10% of the words you spend ranting to just tell us WHAT mask, maybe someone can tell you where to find it or if the name has been changed. Our free choice is being ***** by devs who do not seem to care about players as they throw their weight around deleting things, creating new content rather than fixing problems in the game that people have reported for over 6 years now.
Unlike many who are playing this game for free, I pay a monthly fee to play. I deserve better than this. So does anyone who takes time to play this game. -
Quote:I'm sure you're mistaken. You've come up with some pretty vague-but-impressive sounding benefits.... which all seem to be made up out of thin air.Combining severs with other noncompetive servers I'm sure will provide a more stuctured and fluent gaming experience to all players, giving them more communication, knowledge, competiveness, challenges and most of all less work flow for the Dev's or any Tech.
Quote:This is just an idea so please focus your comments on promoting this idea as oppose to not supporting combining servers. -
Quote:oops, not correct.Any time an incarnated character defeats an enemy who cons higher than gray, that enemy has the potential to drop an Incarnate Shard.
Any time an incarnate defeats an enemy THEIR LEVEL OR HIGHER, there is a chance of getting a shard. If you're exemped to 15, enemies need to be 15 or higher to drop shards. -

Quote:Actually, it's completely irrelevant to that situation. Your toggles already stay on in the situation you described. It's only after being logged off for 15 minutes that they turn off.I guess it does help when you get disconnected(boy this game is suffering that a lot more than it used to, aside from really bad past times they had to fix) int he middle of a fight and log back in still alive due to your toggles staying up.
Of course, if you get disconnected in the middle of a fight that's even slightly challenging, you'll probably be dead when you log back in. 30 seconds of you doing nothing but being a punching bag is probably long enough to get you killed. -
Quote:You keep going back to tablets. The rest of us aren't talking about tablet computers. We're talking about interface devices for a desktop system. In that context, a touch screen is an absolute joke.Tell that to everyone learning to use one, or enjoying it, on a smartphone(which is much smaller than a tablet) with features such as "swipe" that put words together for you based on which letters you "swipe" over.
I really don't see a problem with the larger tablet screen having custom onscreen keyboards instead of the bulky standard 104 key keyboard that has to be carried and connected and can't be changed.
Quote:Yes, there will always be a niche market for the standard keyboard, but it is no longer essential. -
Quote:That's a remarkably superficial, and even stupid, comment. Different people have different requirements. A computer is absolutely not a 'one size fits all' item. So, anybody who says "Windows 7 is better than Windows 8 because I can get into the settings to change things easier" is ignorantly forgetting that they "NEED to get into the settings because it doesn't work right".
Quote:Edit:
This topic is done. Bye. -
Quote:I never said they were the best possible. But they're a hundred times better than any interface a tablet offers. I assume you're joking with the examples in the previous paragraph. An onscreen keyboard would be absolutely horrific and an incredibly stupid and useless interface. And I'm sure you realize this. What do you mean?
Do you not like an onscreen keyboard that can be configured any way you want rather than a physical keyboard that is made one way and you just have to deal with it as well as clean it?
Do you really need a mouse, that you have to move around on a desk to make some pointer move across a screen, when you could just "point" your finger right on what you want with no extra steps and a lot faster?
The mouse and keyboard are not "the best interface possible". -

Quote:Sure, it's "the future" to the extent that the majority of computer users will be using a device with that format - because they don't need anything better. The problem with this 'simplified' interface is that, if you DO have the additional capability granted by a full keyboard and mouse, the interface is gimped in comparison with what we have now. They're sacrificing one format to deliberately promote another.Anyway, I haven't read any reviews of Windows 8. I just have heard that it is meant to be streamlined to run on tablets with touch interface, and saw a picture of the interface example a while back, and I would like to see things designed for tablet use first and foremost because that is the future(along with making the operating system much less of resource hog). I'm sure of this, until we get brain interfaces.

Quote:hm... I can view that link fine.I also can't view the following link:
http://newsletters.ncsoft.com/emp/co...-02-15/na.html, either on my home connection, or at work. (No browsing issues at work, either.)
My gripe is that I simply don't receive the darn newsletters. -
Quote:From the NCSoft site? Their "minimum" requirements are a bit of a joke. We need to know what hardware you actually have.Hello you see i just started this game and i have more then the minimum graphics card requirement so i have checked.

Quote:hmm.... did you [redacted]? And what about [redacted]? I think that [redacted] [redacted] and also [redacted]. But [redacted] [redacted] [redacted].Yes, I know what I speak of. I used to do tech support for [redacted], a company that made a DSL modem for [redacted], a few models of DSL Gateways for [redacted], a few models of DSL Gateways that were used by [redacted] (I was part of the European support team working the overnight shift), and was testing a DSL Gateway for [redacted] when I left the company to move back to Texas and wound up providing [redacted] with a few different DSL Gateways since.

Quote:Every, EVERY fething smeg-headed time I try to get into my account, it asks me to do the whole damn 'Verify Account' schtick.
How many times do I have to do this sodding thing for the bloody system to remember? What muck futhering idiot tech monkey do I have to slap to get this thing to work for once? Seriously?!
NC's web design staff are monkeys. One-handed brain-dead monkeys. I am honestly sick of this....Quote:Um... I had this happen to me once. It was a virus. A nasty one. One that reports your stuff to evil people. My bank's website kept asking me for my info.
I deal online with my broker, my bank, two credit card companies and several mutual fund companies. All have various types of enhanced security. None of them make me read a Captcha image every time I use the site. -
Because you're supposed to look around to figure it out? While the empty text box is an error, the ??? objectives are intentional.

Yeah, he's from the newest issue. There were four - the three you mention plus... um... Brother Something-or-other (the Luddite guy).

Let's not forget that something being simpler can be completely independent of being 'good' or 'bad'. I've seen a lot of review of Windows 8 that it's *BAD*.

Quote:It works fine. It is by design that the auto-demote feature ONLY affects the super-leader. This is so that one person leaving the game won't leave the supergroup high and dry with no way to change settings. If the singular super-leader vanishes, someone else gets the red star. All other ranks are immune to auto-demotion.I've never seen the demotion feature work. I have a few officers that have well exceeded their drop time and they are still in the ranks. I don't want to kick them because they are important in the history of the group, but I want them to demote down the ranks. I wish they would actually get that feature to work.
It still works for me. I saw an auto-demotion in the past month. -
Quote:And that tells me your posts are not worth reading. So, the revenue stream was good then died off? And how do you know this? Oh, you actually don't. You're just making &*#( up. Yeah, par for the course on the internet."It was good for the game because it opened the door to a nice new revenue stream in the SSA's. That is good for the game"....Check it did do this, to what degree we will never be told.
