I am not saying this is the reason I haven't seen a purple yet after only 5 mish'es. Maybe I need to average more mish'es before I see one?
Level 49 vs level 50 has no impact on getting purples.
Five missions is NOTHING. The drops are RANDOM.

I've cleared over a dozen farm maps straight with no purples. I've also gotten FOUR purples on one map.

There's no guarantee that all Logitech keyboards will work right. I've seen different models from the same manufacturer behave differently.

No. We are losing nothing. It's win-win. Not only do we get animated tails, *ALL* tails will be removed from the belt category so you can have a belt AND a tail.

  7. We do have a club but, according to the powerset description, it's actually a mace.

I would think Shivans would work. According to the team window, you're still solo.

Sidenote: I actually earned the first healing badge through using Aid Other on my Scrapper, before giving in and joining a heal farm.
Sidenote: I got the first 3 and almost the 4th one, before the requirements were lowered the first time.
I didn't have the Longbow Warden 2 gladiator yet.

For future reference, I highlighted the reason you couldn't drop the mission. You also can't drop a mission that awards a badge, or that is part of a task force / strike force..... there may be some other restrictions as well.

This is not a reliable test. My last keyboard did not beep - it just ignored the additional keys.
    <space bar> for Superjump
    <W> for forward.
and..... I could not turn. I could STRAFE while jumping, but not turn.

Annoyingly, I had bought that keyboard due to it's being virtually identical to one that had died (same manufacturer, same line, new model to replace a discontinued one). Previous keyboard was fine, new one didn't recognize the multiple keypresses I required for CoH. Currently using a Logitech keyboard that I'm very happy with and I have already purchased another identical one as a spare.

It never even occurred to me to go to another tailor. I just went to Steel Canyon without thinking, even though the guy was level 1. Didn't die at all on the way.

What? You know it's only a matter of time before someone comes in here and posts like that and actually believes it.
  13. Yes to Health. In Health, they will be active at all times. In Dull Pain, they will be active for 120 seconds after you trigger the power.

FYI, the market is cross-server. So if you listed it on Infinity, it can be purchased on any server, including European. The market is not, however, cross-faction. Heroes can not purchase from villains, or vice versa.

My options are to take aid other, and NOT do what I was designed to do (i.e. "scrap") to get the badge, OR go the Longbow Gladiator route and then it is not even ME doing it, it is an NPC.

Based on those I see no reason NOT to give a badge for soloing in this game. Specificly a badge for doing things solo that most would consider, generally speaking, a team thing.
Yeah, one of us is looking silly here.
We need to distinguish between DIFFICULT to obtain, and possibly requiring a change to playstyle, and IMPOSSIBLE to obtain.

Please note: I *DID* take Aid Other on my broadsword/regen scrapper to work on the healing badges. Seemed like a perfectly 'decent' course of action to me - since I wanted the badges. Do you think the same sort of reasoning could apply to an empathy defender trying to solo Adamastor?

Ignore the (game destroying) fanboi sycophants and keep posting good ideas.
I think the part I highlighted is genuinely a bad idea. Many people absolutely can not solo AV's or GM's. And, unlike MoSTF where you can be 'carried' by the rest of the team, this is solo or nothing. Very bad to introduce a badge that is impossible for many people.

To the OP: Ignore people who denigrate and insult people who disagree with them. As my response shows, it's possible to disagree and explain why without resorting to name-calling.

Yeah, that's how I read it also. I'm not sure what that meant. You can visit any tailor at any level. Personally, I came up with a cool name and no idea for a costume once - I created the toon and parked him in the Steel Canyon Icon. He was there long enough to get the Day Job before I got around to making a costume - while he was still level 1.

  19. I would say that depends on what character you're trying to get the badges on. Back when the Ouro badges were introduced, I duoed a great many of them because a friend with a mind/emp found it difficult to complete them with the serious gimp settings. Conveniently, my badge toon is a /regen scrapper.

    AE Hall of Fame

Yup, you were told wrong by many people. Hall of Fame arcs are 'voted' there by the players. Believe me, if it worked as you were told, farmers would promptly band together and vote their arcs into the Hall of Fame. (Maybe they do already, but it doesn't get them anything.)

Actually, you seem to have misunderstood the two versions. The expansion version requires you to already have CoH/V so it would not be applicable to a new player. The complete version has the full game (CoH, CoV, Praetoria) plus a free month of play. That is the version targeting new players. It will replace the current version (Architect Edition).

The first sentence is more or less correct. The second sentence is wrong.

A flipper decreases availability of low-priced goods, which tends to drive those prices up. We both agree on that. Next, the flipper increases the availability of higher priced goods - which DRIVES THE PRICES DOWN. Surely you can understand that.

If an item sells for between 1 million and 2 million influence, the flipper causes that 1 million figure to go UP and that 2 million figure to go DOWN.

This belief is correct. Are there any people who drive prices up? Absolutely. But they're not the flippers. Flipping doesn't work as well when prices are climbing. For a flipper to do anything that drives prices up would be the height of stupidity.

No, we DON'T need the game to be like that. *YOU* want it like that.
If everything was easy to obtain, many players would simply lose interest and the game population would suffer.

It's not about what *YOU* want or what *I* want. It's about what the devs believe is best for the game. Sure, they could be wrong, but their years of experience aren't invalidated by a group shouting "GIMME GIMME GIMME."
