Girls have cooties too, did I mention that?
-
I'm thinking of slotting 5 of the Mocking Beratement enhancements into my Presence powers. If I understand correctly, to get the set bonuses all of the enhancements need to be slotted into the same power. If this is the case and the set is per Power, does slotting the same set on another power then stack the set bonuses a second time?

To the OP:
It's been my experience that meeting girls in MMO's is a very very bad idea. The girls that I've ever taked to online have all turned out to be rather insane. It may seem like a good idea on paper, but the reality is that it becomes more hassle than its worth. That is the nature of relationships in general though so you have a choice: put up with the attitude of the anti gamer girls or put up with the psychosis of the gamer girls. -
Well so much for the idea of slotting the last Winters Gift into Sprint. It really should have speed increase attached to it, since it is replacing an existing one.

I'm with the OP on this one. I love the way Rogue Isles is set up. If anything I'll bring my heroes over to the villain side. If I had started playing COH prior to COV release I probably would have quit out of frustration. COV was done after the fact so I can understand why it seems easier to play and is more streamlined and less frustrating to get around in. Perhaps its just the fact I unwittingly chose a very strong AT to play, where all others seem to pale in comparison; or maybe i just suck at squishy toons.
I've tried my hand at various hero side toons and so far only my Tanker has appealed to me. Every other AT I've tried Hero side I ended up scrapping because in large groups of mobs they all ended up in a faceplant. -
Quote:Holy Cow! Seriously? Teams really make that much of a diff? I got to 50 on Doc in about 3 mos of continuous play on challenge 3 without teams. That seems like an insane jump to me. However, thats also not counting the days I spent just sitting in Mercy bsing. I'd say about half my in-game time was spent just sitting in Mercy.I recall on a Double XP weekend I took a new character from 1 to 50 in just 3 days by simply playing on teams. No PLing required. Then there's people with a newfangled thing called "patience" who don't care how long it takes to reach 50. They may only play a couple hours a week, but they don't mind how many months it takes them to reach 50 on a new character.

I'm still not convinced Atlas is dead. I keep expecting him to make an appearance at some point.

I don't use the MA system so I really couldn't help in that regard.
Even before the new difficulty settings were in place, challenge 3 and up was more than enough of a boost for increased experience. Now there's even more variations to what you can do with it. If you are going to group your toons together, have the leader set the mission to always consider you a group and set the + level of the mobs and you'll definitely see an increase in the XP rewards for normal missions at any rate.
These are the new difficulty options accessible through the npcs:
-
With the Mission Architect system it seems to be a lot easier from what I can tell from people's postings. Everything is in one spot, no travelling to diff locations etc. The devs seem to do a pretty good job at nixing exploits but the nature of the MA system seems to lend itself to quick levelling in a fairly convenient manner.
Also with the new difficulty controls you can specify whether you are considered a group on your own, what types of mobs you want to see etc. So regardless of the MA system there is a mechanism for faster levelling in normal missions with this in mind. -
Well evidently people look stuff up whenever there's a question, as I just did, so if ppl are gonna look up the answer regardless what harm does it do to ask?
-
On the Praetoria Wiki Page, it looks like Lord Recluse is an official NPC so that would lead me to believe he is himself and has no counterpart.
-
The auto SK levelling is determined by the leader and/or the level the selected mission. AFAIK the team member location range no longer affects it. Unless I'm misunderstanding the question.

I can get the coh screen in windowed mode to nest on the desktop seamlessly. I like to have the taskbar accessible without needing to alt tab. It takes a bit of tweaking the client but heres a screenie of COH nested on the desktop.
My screen is 1280x1024. I use TweakCOH to maintain the offsets (X = -4, Y = -28) instead of editing the registry if it gets out of line.
I use a macro for each new char to set up the colors and the format of the ui:
screen 1280 966$$wdwloadfile standard-res.txt$$window_color 28 56 84 230 -
The option is located as follows:
Options > General > Misc > XP while examplared > Earn XP / Double Inf No XP -
For Storm Kick, by using the original settings, then dropping down to the specific animations, this is the color combo that matches the original animation colors that I could find.
Post how you want the color chart comparison done for your use.

---------------------------
I'm going to lay this out using a (row, column) system from right to left. For example, (1,1) would be first row first color.
For Hero these are the colors I came up with equivalent to the default animations:
Martial Arts:
Storm Kick - Bright Gut Punch
Option 1 -- Primary Color (11,5) Secondary Color (13,5)
Option 2 -- Primary Color (11,5) Secondary Color (3,5)
Cobra Strike - Bright Uppercut Blow
Primary Color (11,5) Secondary Color (13,5)
Crippling Axe Kick - Bright Haymaker
Primary Color (11,5) Secondary Color (13,5)
Eagle's Claw - Bright Face Smasher
Option 1 -- Primary Color (11,5) Secondary Color (13,5)
Option 2 -- Primary Color (11,5) Secondary Color (3,6)
Super Strength:
Jab - Bright Jab
Primary Color (4,9) Secondary Color (4,6)
Punch - Bright Cross
Primary Color (5,7) Secondary Color (4,10)
Haymaker - Bright Haymaker
Primary Color (4,10) Secondary Color (5,6)
Knockout Blow - Bright Double Fisted Strike
Primary Color (4,10) Secondary Color (5,6)
Foot Stomp - Bright Ground Punch
Primary Color (4,10) Secondary Color (5,6)
Below are the Color Customization files:

Quote:Note, i said for any that you are allowed to change. If you aren't allowed to change them then they stay at original. So no I'm not wrong.Wrong. Not all powers have no fx as an option, and the alternate animations for MA, SS and Fire Armor do not have default options.
The regular effects for powers do not use the primary/secondary color system, the individual elements are colored individually. You will just have to switch back and forth in the editor, making small adjustments in color until you are satisfied. -
You can select default on any customization. In the drop down box you can choose either default, bright, dark or no fx for any power that you are allowed to change.
-
I've found that you have to hit the continue button after saving a primary or secondary set, which then saves the entire powerscheme before the pri/sec changes are saved individually.
-
Quote:I can see it both ways. Its part of a costume, you can't select to see neon toons in a more toned down costume, so in that sense the powers should be seen how the creator saw fit. However since powers have had default colors then I can see the desire for others not to see them and only see their own powers changed. No, the e-mail preference is per character.
Not for nothing, but what do you care what somebody else sees on their screen? Why not have the option to have standard colors for those who don't want to see the Rainbow? It doesn't affect you in any way.
I have no preference either way. The option could be added without harm to anyone or never be added. -
Rocket boots seem to be rocket knees now. The effect seems to be elevated higher on the leg.
-
I'm applying it as we speak. Any word on how awesome it is yet?
-
It seems to be systemic for all NC servers at the moment. I can barely play COH, Can't login to Aion. DR I can barely log into, the forums are hit and miss whether they load or not.

Quote:More than likely, its a lvl 50 ae baby who's never stepped foot outside of the building and couldn't navigate themselves out of a wet paper bag let alone a zone.Could just be lazy. I always forget which zones Bloody Bay and ... heck, now I don't even remember the name of the other zone.... Oh, Warburg! I always forget which zones they connect from. Sometimes it's faster to ask then to start pulling up websites to check.
If someone's level 50, it may have been quite some time since the person was last in Faultine, which isn't any sort of "hub" zone, like Talos.
Forgetting and occasional laziness aren't the same as stupid.
