  1. This recently came up in badgehunters or union chat in-game. But anyway, we all know Ghost Widow is most famed for her mag100 Soul Storm hold move. However, her powersets are Dark Miasma and Dark Blast!

What are your opinions on Ghost Widow's archetype? Dominator or Corruptor? Would be nice if we could get some redname opinions too!
  2. The three main ways of boosting endurance is what you've already mentioned.

    Performance Shifter chance for endurance
    Numina +regen/recovery
    Miracle +recovery

If you're of Fire Armor, did you take Consume? That's an endurance recovery power which should help...

    VEAT

I have a Crab Spider who I duoed with a friend (who was on another Crab Spider) all the way to 50. It has to be probably one of the most fun experiences I've had so far.

Recently, I got into a team of:
    Crab Spider (me)
    Crab Spider (friend)
    Bane Spider
    Wolfspider
    Night Widow
    Fortunata
(and one brute, and a forcefields MM but whatever)

Needless to say, def went through the roof, AVs fell easily with all the -res and -regen (not to mention all the spiders had achilles heel scattered in their builds). I've been spoiled since that day and normal teaming just feels so... drab. XD At the moment, I'm egging my SG on to all build their VEATs faster so we can do all-VEAT SFs

Not played a villain yet who ever had any cash, they keep robbing banks but don't get any money.

Them brokers charge 25% of the loot for their services, and then 25% goes into your rent and food, and then 50% goes to Lord Recluse for TAXES.

... Why did we come to the Rogue Isles again? :3
  5. My Blaster and Dominator both have this Drain Psyche move. While on my Dom, she took Stamina at 20, while on my Blaster, against my better judgement, I decided to go with Drain Psyche first.

First thoughts is wow, it really works well when you can drain from several people at once, and combined with some Recharges, it's even better.

What is the optimal way of slotting this power later on, be it with normal SOs or IO sets or frankenslotting? I'm aware that it has good regen rate too, but do people slot for that, or just for endurance?

I currently have the following planned:
    Numina: Heal/Endurance/Recharge
    Numina: Heal/Recharge
    Doctored Wounds: Heal/Recharge
    Efficacy Adaptor: EndMod/Accuracy
    Efficacy Adaptor: EndMod/Accuracy/Recharge
    Efficacy Adaptor: Accuracy/Recharge

    This gives me:
    73.78% Accuracy
    21.20% Endurance Reduction
    47.70% Endurance
    78.78% Heal
    98.29% Recharge

    Along with set bonuses:
    12% Regen/0.06% HP/sec
    13.6HP/1.12%HP
    1.5% Recovery/0.03 End/sec

This requires six slots, but even so, I'm not sure if I made use of the correct IOs. Any suggestions, people?
  6. I've heard some things about Base Salvage being removed (aka, no more enemies will drop it, but any existing amounts stays in game until used up) due to confusion with normal salvage.

What does this mean for the Salvage racks which can store up to 999 base salvage? Will they be recoded to store 999 normal salvage? o_O

    Fast Logout.

Hrm, I used to just close the game and open a new one since I could do it in less than 30 seconds, if I was relogging. This will be extremely handy. Thanks.
  8. I guess I'm the only Brute I've seen at level 41+ who is Super Reflexes. :3

However, my /electric Brute wouldn't mind a heal component somewhere...
  9. The only time I'll look for a Tank with taunt is if I'm doing a Task Force. Naturally a Tank with taunt would appeal to me far more than a Tank without taunt, unless they were a friend or something.

Unless, of course, the Tank has taunt, but is missing something like Unyielding because it has a minor penalty. Don't laugh, it's happened before. XD

If I'm in a PuG, then I'll adjust my tactics accordingly to the rest of the team like everyone should do. Not everyone always has a special teamup issue with Superman. :3 Sometimes you have to team up with the Incredible Hulk, and then it's every man for himself.
  10. My Crab spider would love to do that. He's been doing Council missions lately since they seem to add more into each drop, and they pose, so they don't move, as well as being in tighter formations.

Best thing if you think you can't take them on is to try to herd a bunch of them by running in front and quickly nipping off to the right behind a crate. With luck, only like 10 at most will follow. :3
  11. Alts which might be fun.

    Controller
Illusion Control. Works great in teams, or solo. You have an AoE Fear pet which is perma out of the box, which not many enemies are resistant to (Nemesis is one, Romans, but only if they start shouting at each other). It's best to combine this with a debuffing set, as your main weapon, the Phantom Army, aren't affected by outside buffs. Radiation, Sonics, and Storm have all been popular secondary choices for Illusion, as they have debuffs which work well with teams and on your own.

    Scrapper
Broadsword/Katana. Arguably the most hard-hitting of the Scrapper sets, with Broadsword being stronger than Katana, while Katana being faster and more end-light, so I heard. Probably best to not combine with a end heavy secondary, as it might be a bit frustrating on early levels, though any set will probably work well with it (barring Regen, perhaps, too many click buttons causes redraw?). Parry/Divine can stack to increase your defence to melee, which is pretty useful for a scrapper, and combined with a secondary which uses defence, is a bonus. You can even slot Achille Heel procs into your attacks to reduce the resistance of your enemies to cause even more damage. Even though the effect has been fixed so it's not permanent anymore, it's still worth doing.

Issue 11's FotM Dual Blades/Willpower is a fun set to use. But only probably because I got infected with the 'superteam' syndrome on test server when everyone and their mothers were making DB/WP or WP/DB alts, so all you could hear was slashing sounds all over the place...

    Blaster
Well. Any blaster is fun, really. Once you've been in a 8-blaster team, you'll never look at them the same way again. All of them are fun to use, with some lacking in damage compared to others due to no Buildup (Assault Rifle), or doing Lethal (AR, or Archery), but they make up for it with end-efficient nukes. Hey, at least Carnies have vulnerability to lethal... :3

Secondaries... Mental Manipulation is the current favorite at the moment, though outstanding is still Energy, I think. Fire/MM, Ice/MM, Sonic/MM, all of these are fun sets to use. Fire/Nrg, Ice/Nrg are still viable too.

    Tanker
Hrm... how about Dark/Dark? Could be fun. With higher tanker resistances, with Tough included, you might be pretty durable. You would have to do something about knockback though, of course.
  12. [ QUOTE ]

Unfortunately I doubt the Boss-health level NPCs would survive more than an AoE or two from an AV-level Scirroco. If they were all the same HP as Citadel, or someone else along with Numina was buffing + healing, perhaps.

    [/ QUOTE ]

It's worse than you think. Other than Citadel (who's an Elite Boss), everyone is Pet-class, not Boss-class. What does this mean? Half the amount of HP you'd expect! XD
  13. Probably should mention that Scrapper version of Energy Torrent from the epics does knockdown instead of knockback (mag level is less than 1). :3

    Nice guide, anyway
  14. [ QUOTE ]

Will Elude be worth getting after hitting 45% soft cap? Just seems like resistance is pushed a little more then complete mitigation. Did choose DM for soul drain, but the tohit-debuff was an added bonus.

    [/ QUOTE ]
Reason why some people still take Elude after hitting softcap is for the high recovery it gives, as one of Super Reflexes' weak points is lack of recovery buff. Also, it gives even more defence debuff, as well as almost superspeed running which is unsurpressed. And, as usual, it tags on even more defence on top of your other defences, so any enemies with higher accuracy than normal will start missing severely.
  15. Having two sorts of sidekicks?

One is by player - the sidekick/lackey will con one level below their mentor/boss, exp/inf is as normal.

The other is by the mission - sidekicks/lackeys who choose this option will con one level below the mission owner. However, their exp/inf is cut in half (or some other largish percentage) due to having no mentor/boss to teach them the ropes (storywise reason).

So, it pays to get a normal sidekick/mentor relationship, but if the option doesn't exist, you can still join... you just won't get as much inf/exp as everyone else. :3

    How's that?
  16. My changes would be:

    Nova forms for both:
Nova Bolt to do Moderate Damage instead of Minor Damage
Nova Blast to do High Damage instead of Moderate

    Dwarf forms for both:
Dwarf forms to have some sort of inbuilt damage or taunting aura. Either one would work. Probably damage aura may be nicer, and make it Smash damage (they're basically mini suns or something corny, so they emit a high gravity concentrated around them?)

Single attacks to have fear status in attacks (a giant alien is about to pound the poop out of you, c'mon)

For the Black Dwarf Drain, change it into an AoE so it can attempt to drain from several foes at once.

White Dwarf footstomp move is fine as it is, no need to change

For the inherents, they need to be changed to work in any form, as well as Kheldians being able to boost each other within teams. Not sure what with though, maybe extra Recovery/Regen?

An extra 10 slots. Haha, if only...
  17. Quantum Lord Recluse has defeated the whole team

Good thing AVs can't spawn as Quantum versions, haha
  18. So since Arachnos soldiers get to wear their super special awesome Arachnos outfits with variations and stuff, and even with vet reward of Arachnos helmets, when will all Kheldian players get to wear the special belt thing which Moonfire and Sunstorm have?

C'mon, it's not fair that VEATs get to wear special costumes, why not Kheldians with their beltsash things?
  19. Ugh, so it's better not to slot any sort of proc in it at all then. Okay, thanks.
  20. Anyone know how damage procs such as chance for fire/lethal etc work in this power? Is it just the initial strike, or is it wherever the lightning jumps, there's a chance?
  21. Sorry for bumping this, but my question is in regards to this proc.

Does multiple Achille procs stack? Say I had one in power 1 and another in power 2, and a third in power 3. Assume that they're an attack chain. Now assume the procs in power 1 and 2 go off. Would they stack to cause double the effect, or would power 2's one overwipe power 1?

And assuming this, would a teammate who is using achille procs, would their procs stack with mine or overwipe mine?
  22. Whatever powersets Blue Steel is going to have (most have guessed at Shield Melee/Shield Defence), please give him Thunder Kick from MA's powerset. It's the closest thing to a roundhouse kick there is, haha.

Also, have him in a storyline with Clockwork King and Penelope Yin.
  23. Seems since Issue 12, any mobs guarding a hostage will frequently regard other mobs around them (even if same faction) as hostile and will attack them if they're too close. One example of this is during Marshal Brass' mission Recover Amanda Vines, with the shivans guarding her attacking other shivans (because they spawned too close).

    Has anyone else noticed this?

    [ QUOTE ]

also an other quick thing, i think if they made channelgun and longfang come out of 2 different crab arms the animations would work so much more smoothly!

    [/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, seems the single target blasts come out of the second leg on the right, while the grenade blasts all come out of the second on the left. How about a bit more variation? :O

    2nd Uniform

    [ QUOTE ]
I'm not fussed about mixing parts i just want to have a second uniform using some of the different options, maybe the option to have uniform or a normal cossy for each slot??

    [/ QUOTE ]
That's exactly what I want. I don't really care about mixing Arachnos soldier parts with normal costumes (other than a helmet-less look, but that's it), I just want the ability to choose between normal and Arachnos uniforms. Soldiers have to choose between the Wolfspider outfits and the Bane/Crab outfits, while Widows just get a simple helmet choice. :3
