Quote:You mean the gunbelt Enforcers from Thugs have been wearing since forever and has been ingame for ages?Wow, and my main complaint was just that the male set is hideously ugly. That belt...all those cow skulls...that jacket...the nappy hair coming out of the weird hats. It's like "Rob Zombie's High Noon".
The one thing I wanted from a Gunslinger set was a belt with holsters, and instead of that we get some weird Rodeo Champeen hula hoop. Please...for the love of bacon, can we have belts with holsters? Please? Even just the Official belt with the nightstick taken off and the holster copied-flipped-pasted? Please?
Really, why can't devs just give us this belt if it's already there? :3 -
-
Quote:Gunslinger 2 (the buttcape belt) doesn't seem to work with ANY jacket (sleeves and sleeveless), haha.Except that the gunslinger buttcapron doesn't work with the steampunk jackets, which is pretty annoying.
I guess not much bugtesting went into these new costumes. :3
-edit- here's a pic :3

I think having an imperfect leader is better for the sake of plot. We know Desdemona isn't perfect and probably not adapt for leading the Resistance, she doesn't particularly want to do it either, but she's all they have. At least she has advisers and the like to help her out.
Regarding tip missions in where you beat her up, just consider it that she was levelling at the same time your character was levelling. -
Quote:Should mention that the example you used, Basilisk's Gaze, despite being 10-30, a ton of people with holds use it right up to 50 for endgame, and many slot a fifth triple/quad IO from Lockdown or something to frankenslot it. Why? Because Basilisk's Gaze gives 7.5% recharge for the fourth set bonus. :3But if you really want to hook me, make SBE sets that have more range, so I don't have to wait till lv 30 to start slotting them, since I'll have something already slotted in there from when I get the power. Or that I can slot at 10, but they top out at 30, so after that I'm looking at having to get unslotters or do a full respec to pull them and then I have to store them somewhere. All in all right now, for most things it is just easier for me to not give you money and not deal with them.
Because I'm also very very lazy, and that I did know. -
I'd like one which uses the doppelganger tech to summon copies of myself. I'm fine with the copies having preset powers. :3
-
-
I replaced the 7.5%s on some of my alts who exemplar a lot with the market versions so they can take advantage of the recharge bonuses. :3

Just think of the invading force as the Rikti and the defenders as Alpha team... and try not to cringe at the music. -
This is my current build, just posting it for a friend. If it inspires anyone else, go ahead and use. :3

I'd give Tankers a mix of the old Blaster defiance, along with a version of Defender's Vigilance, but tailored to add damage buff instead. So you're starting to take damage? Your damage increases. Your friends are dying? Your damage increases. Both of the above? Damage buffs ahoy!
Thus, Tanker damage cap would have to be raised.
(half in jest, half serious) -
When you see people cast off Ion Judgement, you see giant ION JUDGEMENT JUMP words pop all over your targets, right and people are in awe?
I want the same display for the other Judgements! I wanna use Vorpal and have a VORPAL JUDGEMENT KICK over my targets, haha, and the same for the others. -
Thanks for the help all. It would be nice if in the future, alternate animations allow for a "only shows in PvP" thing, haha, but I'll have to live with it.
-
Quote:That's what I've always thought as well, haha. This is how I've generally thought of how the melee classes should be:For me, ideally I feel that Stalkers should be the single target burst damage kings. Some sets do this better than others and some sets offer some AoE. Your mileage may vary depending on which sets you pair together. However, I'd really like to see Stalkers being able to outperform Scrappers and Brutes in bursts, especially with single target damage. Their trade off as always is survivability.
DAMAGE:
Tanker > Brute > Scrapper > Stalker
SURVIVABILITY:
Stalker > Scrapper > Brute > Tanker
While there's not much difference between Scrappers and Brutes in damage, it's only a rough scale, of course. Current game design ironically puts Stalker maybe at Brute level or lower in terms of damage, haha. -
Seriously, if Statesman kicks the bucket, have Ms. Liberty wear a modified version of his outfit complete with bigass cape in honor of her grandfather or something. She could stand to ditch her old uniform, haha.
-
While the Fire element shield is... okay, I guess, it's more like a molten lava shield. So, begging for a fire element shield which is made from just flames. It can even be called Flame shield to make it different from the old Fire shield!
You could wrap the left arm up with a fire aura type thing, or have the flames spread away from the arm or something.
Second suggestion is what I suggest every time - heroic Paragon Protectors as neutral entities in low level zones to be the 'friendly face' of Crey. -
So, I've been meaning to try out Ice Armor for years on end, and with the upcoming changes to Stalker, figured I could try making an Elec/Ice Stalker.
The only problem lies in... concept.
How do you explain why your character is covered in giant blocks of ice?
To those who have Ice Armor alts, be it Tanker, Stalker, or even Blasters or Dominators etc who have Cold/Ice Mastery with Ice Armor powers? -
Honestly, it depends on your secondary, your epic/patron if chosen, and how you slotted it. Alpha is also used to make up for any weaknesses in your build if there are anyway, as well as just adding to it if your build is already sufficient. Think of Alpha as a 'seventh' slot for all powers which are capable of having that enhancement placed in. So...
Agility primarily deals with increasing the power of Endurance and Recovery modifying abilities. Agility also increases Recharge, Defense and the speed of some Movement abilities.
Cardiac primarily deals with reducing Endurance costs. Cardiac also increases Range, Damage Resistance and some Status Effect durations.
Intuition primarily deals with increasing Hold Duration. It can also increase Defense DeDuff, Range, Confuse Duration, Taunt and Fly Speed.
Musculature primarily deals with increasing Damage. It also modifies Immobilization Duration, Defense Debuff, Endurance Modification, ToHit Debuff and Run Speed.
Nerve primarily deals with increasing Accuracy. It can also increase Hold Duration, Defence Buff, Confuse Duration, Taunt and Fly Speed.
Resilient primarily deals with increasing Damage Resistance. It can also increase Immobilize Duration, Taunt Effectiveness, Intangibility, Stun Duration and ToHit Debuffs.
Spiritual primarily deals with increasing Recharge Rate. It can also increase Stun Duration, Healing, ToHit Buff, Slow Movement and Jump.
Vigor primarily deals with increasing Heal Rate. It can also increase Accuracy, Endurance Cost, Fear Duration, Sleep Duration and Confusion Duration.
Look at the 'primarily' part and see what would benefit your Tanker most. Everything which follows depends on the tiered Alpha you have built. -
I knew I forgot to ask something. Is there a way to see how Enhancement Boosters (+1 up to +5) affect specific powers?
-
I'm thinking the real reason Cimeroran pets do more damage is because they have five attacks each (this includes the lieutenant where with Phantoms and Warworks, the lieutenant has just two attacks), and the ability to do scrapper criticals. With a fully fleshed out attack chain, along with criticals, they play like their ITF counterparts - spike damage. :3 I'd imagine the defence debuffing helps a bit too though.
-
-
Quote:I suppose it will be balanced by critical still being double base damage while true hidden Assassin's Strike being triple or whatever it is. So if Placate isn't recharged yet, do visible Assassin's Strike with chance to crit for lots of damage, and if it is, do hidden Assassin's Strike with guaranteed crit for massive damage. :3I think more of the point will be: will placate even be worth using placate offensively? For example using placate>slash on a Nightwidow doesn't do anything for your dps. The half crits dont make up for the 1.5 sec cast time (longer wen factoring in server ticks) of you not dealing any damage while you cast placate. On my NW adding and subtracting placate from my attack chain while soloing rikti pylons did pretty much nothing for my dps and kill time, and that was before reactive interface came out, so it may actually hurt your dps at this point since placate can't trigger Reactive. I have a feeling that this will put stalkers in a similar situation as my NW.

Quote:What inhabitants? All that remains of citizens in Dark Astoria are ghosts. :3 I love how you see them walking about but when you move closer... they're just not even there anymore...Question: Are they going to clarify the Astoria lore with this makeover? How many times has Astoria gone dark? And what about that bad piece of writing that has the authorities sealing Astoria up and allowing the inhabitants to all be butchered because they cannot escape? Hopefully that gets 86'd.
Astoria has such potential. An Incarnate makeover is a severe disappointment if that is what all of this means. -
Quote:Those sound like very solid improvements, especially the idea of 'charging' Assassin's Strike for out of hide criticals, and allowing Assassin's Strike to be part of the attack chain, sort of.We're testing three improvements to stalkers in i22:
-Assassin's Strike: using Assassin's Strike outside of hide will be an uninterruptible attack with no windup time, dealing Superior damage. This will allow Stalkers to do very competitive dps.
-All Stalker attacks that are not Assassin's Strike will build stacks of a buff called Assassin's Focus. Assassin's Focus increases your chance to critically strike with the out-of-hide Assassin's Strike.
-Stalker Buffed Max HP will be increased by about 400. This should allow them to fully benefit from powers like dull pain, hoarfrost, etc.
-These changes to Stalkers should make them very competitive top-end damage dealers, and help them with their early attack chain since they can use Assassin's Strike mid-combat.
I'll only suggest changing the name of Assassin's Focus due to Claws possessing a power called Focus. Maybe Assassin's Force, or Assassin's Advance, or something like simple like Revenge, or Payback (desc. Your enemy is still standing! You sharpen your attacks as payback for their resilience.) -
Quote:Assassin strike using alt animation borrowed tech from Titan weapons - holy crap suddenly attack chain is better
Assassin's Focus name needs to be changed, as Claws possesses an attack called Focus (and no, don't change Focus's name!)
