Thanks, that gives me something to think about. Last time I tried (this is a long while ago) Cloak of Fear, it broke hide and therefore was useless on Dark Jouliet, so I got rid of it. Things have changed with that? I have heard of people trying to toggle things on and off, but CoF has a 5 sec activation time, which makes that very unreasonable in combat. If it is somehow effective, I will see what I can replace. Thanks again.

I decided to dust off a fun character from a while ago, and started updating her build using Mids. Sometimes I do OK, sometimes I fail badly. I have all the powers I want, but I can't figure out the right combination of recipes to give either a good smashing/lethal defense or a good melee/ranged/aoe defense. Resistances are OK, high 30s to low 50s mostly. I figure that I need to have good mob control and cross my fingers at this point, so I have Thunderstrike, Lightning Rod, and Spring Attack, with Dark Regeneration down to 10sec recharge with hasten up, and Shadow Meld is there so that 15sec out of 30sec I am fine
Anyway, please look this over, all suggestions for improvement are greatly appreciated. Thank you. (Build posted with Hide off)

I am finally at the stage of being able to rebuild Amber, my electric melee electric armor scapper, and have her up to 44.4% S/L Def. All feedback is welcome, but I do have one question, specifically regarding Thunderstrike and Lightning Field. I went with 3 Eradications and 3 Sciroccos on Thunderstrike, and Obliteration on Lightning Field. Should I switch them, slot both with 3 Erad 3 Scir, or slot both with Oblits? I know that I have Power Sink and Energize to help with Endurance issues, however, I am not sure if I will be able to keep up with my melee attacks, or should I just put in one End Rdx into Lightning Field and use the slots to pad the melee attacks so they cost less endurance? Thanks.

I also have a demon / thermal MM, and finally got around to playing with Mids to slot recipes, and I have no idea where to begin really with how pet resistance (Sovereign Might) works and pet defense (Edict of the Master) and Hell On Earth (Resist Bonus Aura for Pets). Anyway, also not sure if I should try to get tough and weave, in which case, what powers do I drop (I know SS can be dropped, just a filler power, and it just occurred to me I could take Invisibility and slot a Lotg +7.5%), or just stay with stealth? Suggestions welcome.

Rageycat has inspired me and someone with Red Cap Daggers (sorry I can't rem your name ) so I have been playing with this for a couple of days, and after picking Ragey's brain, here is what I have come up with. My main concern is endurance. I like the procs in Cloak of Fear and in Death Shroud, but ultimately I need to be able to attack without running out of endurance. Suggestions, comments, and do you think I will run out of endurance based on the current build? Thanks. I have one lvl 50 slot in brawl that can be used somewhere, just not sure where it will be the most help.

What do you think is the best "buzzsaw" tank or brute?

Thanks for your feedback. I realize a tank should do aggro control first, just wanted to be a "buzzsaw", however, I should have probably gone brute for that.
I originally had Air Superiority instead of Energy Punch, but I ran out of pools that way, and lost Combat Jumping. Open to alternate build ideas where I still have 45%+ S/L Def and 90% S/L Res. -
I have been playing my Invulnerability / Energy Melee tank for a little while now, and having great fun. However, Total Focus takes 3.3 seconds, which seems like an eternity. According to Mids it has a chance of Magnitude 3 stun, which Energy Transfer has, while the rest of the attacks are Magnitude 2 stuns.
I was just wondering what people would think of 6-slotting Boxing instead with Crushing Impact, and taking Assault, in place of Total Focus? Here is my build, and I also welcome other suggestions/helpful comments as well. Thanks.

I am sure this has already been asked somewhere, my search fu is very weak. Looking for a good build, or improving mine.
I have 28.5% Smashing/Lethal DEF, 26.6% Melee DEF, 59% Smashing/Lethal RES. Just curious if there are some different set combinations that would increase those numbers, or are those "good enough" for a brute. Suggestions are welcome, as well as constructive criticism. Thank you.

A friend suggested I try the Tailor to fix my problem. There is an option for Cloak Of Darkness to not fade, I selected that, and I can active that power now and still see body outline. I guess I did that with my hero a while ago and have since forgotten what I did. Thanks for the help all, take care and keep playing and having fun

Hero side I have a Dark Melee / Dark Armor scrapper, and respecced him into Cloak Of Darkness, and I have no worries at all, can see his outline just fine, and I don't have to Suppress Close FX. I guess hero side Cloak is different from villain side?

I did a respec this morning to include Cloak Of Darkness in my Electric Melee / Dark Armor build, expecting Suppress FX When Close to allow me to still see a body outline in the murky fuzzy darkness, but it is all fuzzy cloud, no body outline. When I set the distance to 30 for the camera, nothing is visible at all except for a floating name. Is there a setting to still see the body outline while having Cloak of Darkness active, or is this a "known" bug?

I have an enemy group (Tsoo) holding a captive in the 22nd National Bank. I want the following dialog to occur between David Lewis (captive) and Bank Manager. One major problem is that all the bank maps have a max of 1 front and 1 back for placing captives, so I can't place two captives in front. I currently have David saying the following, which does not look very good.
Captive Inactive text:
The Branch Manager says, "You made a company deposit in to your personal account." "I did what?"
Captive Active text:
David Lewis exclaims, "There must be a mistake! I would never do something that stupid!"
Captive rescued text:
You must believe me, I'm innocent!

I do have file space to create a citizen, but if I make the captive group be the citizen, the heroes have to defeat the Branch Manager to end the mission, which does not sit right either. I would be willing to pay the same prices we currently pay to add more toons to a server, to purchase more story arc slots per account. I created an 11 mission story arc that I am extremely proud of, but it used up all 3 of my published story allotment slots. I have one arc left on my 2nd account, but have several different stories vying for the one slot. Perhaps this idea has been mentioned already, if so, please let me know where to read up on it. I hope the following is in MA somewhere, but I am not sure where. Remember the Lost being held in purple light in the red side mission arc to enter Cim? Is there a way to get stasis chambers to hold captives in the purple light until the chamber is destroyed, then the purple light quits, and the captives attack? If I can't get the purple light effect with the stasis chamber, under what options can I set up the rest of it? Thanks.

I would like to have one captive surrounded by both Freakshow and Circle Of Thorns. I want the Freakshow to say something, but not the COT. Is this possible to do? I have created a custom group with both enemy types in it, but that doesn't work.

I recently came across a fire tank that had Air Superiority and Fly versus Combat Jump and Super Jump. Below is an experimental build that I have not tested, but it allows me to have almost every power that I want and still be (hopefully) a good tank, although the build does not give as great an overall set bonus as the posts above. I have been helping friends with TFs, and would like constructive feedback on when powers and slots were taken for when I am EX at 15, 20, 25, and 34. Thanks.

I did want to mention that I have found the following very hard to obtain: Scirocco's Dervish (most of them), Steadfast Protection Resist Knockback (paid 10 million to obtain a level 16), Karma Resist Knockback (did not write down how much I paid), Numina's Convalescence Regen/Rcvry+, Heal, Heal/EndRdx, Regenerative Tissue Regen+, Miracle Rcvry+, Luck Of The Gambler Def/End, Rchg+. As a compromise on Health, I have obtained Miracle Heal, Heal/End, Heal/End/Rech, and I am building up Infl against the day that I am able to find some of the items mentioned above for sale.
