Quote:Having said that, my widow is my main Strike Force/Task Force runner. You may want to work an additional side character to eventually get it Vigilante or Rogue to go both sides if you prefer blue content.
I do wish there were an easier way for me to make an Arachnos toon and get them Hero side...i have about 30 levels of experience Red Side and have never played the VEATS. -
Sorry I missed the tell, for whatever reason the boards weren't loading for me yesterday. I'll push to ten as well to catch up.
-
Jeff has been created as well DB/NIN (yes you found me)
-
I would like to bring a brand new DB/Nin - @Soultrap
Let me know the schedule. -
I would pull the guassian's 5% chance proc from follow up.. and add the slot to kick (or Boxing either one) and in those 2 slots use it as a mule for 2x Absolute Amazement for 4% more recovery. You will find with that much recharge, your attack chain is going to eat through end fairly quickly.
I would also drop CT Offensive. It is not needed.. instead put Mind Link in there with a Membrane Exposure.
I would also drop Hover and instead put Hasten there with 2 generic recharge IOs. A widow in the fight does not have time to hover around. It's fast and furious, and this change does not effect your defense numbers much if you also take Mind Link instead of CT Offensive.
Your mind link will be real close to perma even with the single hami in it.
Your Follow up attack is on a 4 second recharge for a 10 second duration, turn that on and check your tohit/acc numbers and you will see why I said you don't need CT Offensive.
Overall these changes will boost your defense numbers way higher, provide your team with a better buff then CT Offensive, and allow you to strike faster on target (without hovering around) -
Since you wern't going for any set bonus in Charged Armor and wanted 3x resist end slotted, you may want to look at slotting 3x Ribosome Exposures in there which would give you a little better percentages then the IOs.

Maybe doesn't belong in test since it is an open Beta issue. Please move to appropriate area if not.
As a Widow copied to Beta in order to check out the Arachnos Lore pets, expecting a buff pet and attack pet at Tier 2 with buff pet applying appropriate Fortunata Buffs in or out of combat, The non-attackable, non attacking version of Fortunata is not applying any kind of buff to myself or to the pets both confirmed through active icons as well as current real numbers in Combat Attributes. I am not sure if this is also the case with other new "buff" non attack pets. -
Quote:I can confirm this with an illusion/storm.. it is not a good idea for a controller or dom to summon pets. I found myself perma targetted by anti matter for everything.. even while standing around the corner out of LOS.
Pets are immune to the AMPR. However, uou will probably not get much opportunity to test this out, because:
The AMPR is tied to Anti-Matter's health. The more he loses, the harder the AMPR hits. I have no idea how much damage the AMPR is capable of at max strength. However with the AV at about 70% health I'm pretty sure he hit me for over 60% of my HP per pulse. He does not regenerate health during this phase, so if he gets hurt, your league has to deal with that damage every pulse until it is possible to actually kill him. Under all circumstances you must avoid doing damage to him. For most Controllers this probably means not summoning pets. The AV will be very close to you in certain portions of the trial and any damage the pet does in its blind zeal to protect you increases the AMPR.

Quote:Goldbrickers indeed have a mysterious story yet to be discovered, but you hit a key group there Techbot.Goldbrickers need a larger level range and much more fleshing out. Same as the Luddites. Two great groups, horribly neglected. Corolax at least get a SF, I guess.
Coralax. They were inhabitants of the rogue isles before anyone else. There is much deep lore about this group including the power of the complete Leviathon. We get to face only it's eyeball in the SF "The Temple of the Waters" Imagine if the Leviathon wasn't bound as it is. There is a huge story there. -

Just a stab in the dark (which I am famous for) try walking up close to the doppleganger MM and click for a dialogue.
-
Another thing to look out for when scouting for Caleb is several normal ghosts streaking off through the night up high.. put them on auto follow and they usually will take you streight to Caleb.

Nice to see SF madness still kicking. I'll be back for some runs for a few weeks in January.. then back for good around the end of April.

First of all, I'd like to say hello from Afghanistan to all the folks in Dark Kingdom and coalitioned VGs. I got a nice package from you guys and lots of best wishes.
Does anyone ever have something happen in real life that reminds you of the game? It's my 4th month here, but even here that happened today.
Some units name their operations and objectives after gemstones, some units name them after animals, some after greek gods etc.. this particular unit names its operations and objectives after insects. So today I was listening to the radio chatter and I hear something that immediately made me think of COV:
"Iron Gray X-Ray, this is Brutus 1-6. Objective Recluse is cleared, OVER."
I guess I should have got on the radio and told that Brute "gratz but come up with a better name."
Cya guys later.

Quote:ThirdI second the Dark Kingdom crew. They have several divisions, but not too many. More than one of their divisions are in the top 100.
I have known the leader, Taz, since back in the day before merits were introduced when there was only on DK. They do have a pretty good crew. They are relatively drama free. They are in my coalition. Several of them are my global friends.
I have a top 100 VG too, but it's small.
If you want in one of the DKs you can send me a tell and I'll get you an invite -- @cossatot -
Should also add "Thus Spoke The Reichsman" in the SF list (or Barracuda Strike Force as it's commonly called)
Given by Barracuda in Grandville (2559, -392, 1934.5)
lvl 45-50
and hello from Afghanistan

With the possible return of base raiding, and considering that most bases have broken previous raid pathing while opting to create nice looking base effects (myself included) I would suggest the following:
We have the option to choose dual builds on our characters, why not have the option to have dual builds on a base; Build 1 for aesthetics, build 2 for raiding with pathing rules. -

Quote:I have also received the same error maybe half a year ago or more.. it has nothing to do with DP going live. This is an error message that has popped up on very rare occasions since the launch of the game, subsiding and not appearing for quite a while (or not being reported at least), it's just that we've seen it more frequently of late.
The actual message asks the user to post it on the Beta forums. It's not referring to the DP Beta forum section, but the actual CoH Beta forums from before the game launched.
Good luck tracking that one down. -
Quote:The scientists don't get dropped off at the terminals. They get taken to a door in zone indicated by a map waypoint once they have you on follow. Once you rescue 3 of them, then you can choose a terminal to click to obtain the launchcodes for a rocket (Nuke/Bio/or Chem) Then with those codes you go to the launch site and activate the launchpad terminal. It's been a real long time since I tried to do this so I forgot the strategy on getting that missile to launch. I took my level 50 MM Bots/Traps (converted to level 38 in Warburg Zone) and was gathering up the scientists and dropping them off at the the blinking terminals. Every time I would click on a blinking terminals it would say I "need to rescue more lab technicians in order to get the codes". Does each terminal require a certain amount of lab techs in order to get the codes?
So, in a nutshell, what "is" the exact strategy to launch the missile? Thanks to all who reply. -
Quote:Don't know where you were, but I don't think it was in the right spot. RV has always got something going on consistantly day or night or 3 AM.and then over the next couple of days iv come to the conclusion that there really is no pvp left in this game. reading the above posts game me some insight into the situation i feel so bad for all of you folks who have been suffering through a pvp less game.
I wonder. -
