Event and special salvage CANNOT be put in the salvage bins. Invention salvage only. The special stuff will have to be traded character-to-character.

Don't have any Halloween Costume Salvage avalable to test this out on but I was able to put Old Base Salvage and Candy Cane salvage into a new Invention Storage Bin ( Brain Storm Ideas as well can go in )
[/ QUOTE ]
I am happy to be wrong then. I'm just reporting what I've read on the open beta boards. Serves me right. -

Okay everyone, lets calm down. First, the prestige bonus' are going to be very useful for those without estabilished bases. Second, the rent reductions will basically remove ANY necessity for high levels to be running in SG mode losing influence. 3rd, the minimal storage sizes are too low, but it will help lower costs on the market. Also, I agree that there should be a slight increase in invention storage space, no more than 50 per rack (market issues) but more importantly, they should just make event and special salvage limit free . That way all 30-50 slots could be used for invention salvage and we won't have any problem.

One step forward, three steps back. -
Having a good time this year. The lack of spirits is troublesome, but I'm actually more concerned about the dearth of costume salvage.

I bought both the Cyborg Pack and the Jetpack. That's right, naysayers, I engaged in flagrant free-market capitalism and there's nothing you can do about it!
[/ QUOTE ]
I am going to write my representatives in Congress! Take that!

If anyone can stop capitalism, it's Congress. -
I think Issue 9 is the best issue ever! Because it got me to finally put the game down and start writing again. I'm 100 pages into my new novel, and I owe to all to Issue 9!
Thanks, Issue 9, for getting all of us pesky casual gamers out of the game! -

(Oh, and for the record: I have one character I'd like to have insect wings for, and another one who would like jet boots. But if I can't get them, well, I'll live without them. I like the characters anyway, and their costumes are cool just as they are.)
[/ QUOTE ]
Uh oh. That exactly describes my situation. That makes you my direct competitor.
*Hits Finsplit with a tapir's thigh bone as the Monolith looks on* -
Sudden appearance of winged/jet-booted characters would be no different than all the monster/zombie costumes when CoV costumes were allowed in CoH.
ZOMG! People want to use the costume creator to do new things?!? STOP THE MADNESS!!!!!
Essentially ending expansions of the costume creator is no kinda answer. And I agree that if absolutely ANYONE could have wings AT ANY TIME that there would actually be fewer seen. People would use them because it fit the character and not just to show off how l337 (i.e., lucky) they are. -
My congratulations and thanks to Jay for working so hard on the wings and making them look so awesome. It's a shame that so few people will be able to appreciate them, however.
If a tree falls in the forest and there is no one around, does it make sound? Are these costume pieces really in the game?

Howling Slick; wasn't he a blues man from the 1940's? I seem to remember he had a few really big hits, like "Boresight Blues," "You ain't worth a 5 inf recipe," "Hamidon ate my dog," "Sold my soul (down at the Wentworths)," "Statesman don't want me for his Taskforce," "I'd fly away (If I only had a billion inf for the wings)," "Ain't no invention that can cure the blues," and of course, the immortal: "My woman left with all my salvage (Oh how I want that salvage back.)"
[/ QUOTE ]
em/grabs Dark/Sonic or TA/Sonic Def named Howling Slick on every server.*
Awesome, man!
*Note: Not really. -

For those with memory problems, the change was made because some players were griefing by teleporting Malta Turrets, dropped during zone ambushes, into areas where they were killing lower-level players. Auto-Turret and the like seem to have been caught by the change because all of the summonable turret pets share the same teleport properties (ie either on or off).
Fixing turrets so that "friendly" turrets can be teleported while unfriendly turrents can't be probably isn't a particularly high priority fix.
[/ QUOTE ]
I must have memory problems, because I remember being told by a dev that auto-turrets and acid mortars were never intended to be recall friend-ed around. Yet that makes more sense than kinetic/dark buffs hitting oil slick.
(P.S. But it's not nearly as awesome!) -
[ QUOTE ]
Well, since crude oil is made of dead dinosaurs and other assorted animals, can we keep it?
We're drawing upon the power of THE SOULS OF ANCIENT BEASTS to restore our allies.

The Sword of Nerfocles is dangling over this, gang. -

Honestly, I burst out laughing when I heard about it. Makes perfect sense in the 'how' it works. Brilliant thinking, guys.
Is it what we intended the power to be used for? Not even close...but it's a great idea.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yeah, like teleporting your auto-turret or acid mortar around.

Ran across a radio mission that had me rescuing Dr Frank N Scott from {villaingroup}...
"I believe we're close to comprehending the ritual, It's just a jump to the left..."
"Dr. Scott!"
"Soul Train!"
"Dr. Scott!"
"Soul Train!"
and so on.
[/ QUOTE ]
When I rescued him, he said, "They could've opened a Time Warp, or worse!" -
I take issue with your prioritization. I have found TPFoe most useful on my stalkers. TPFoe+Placate+AS is a very handy "stalker-pull" to get that larger spawn more manageable. And in 10 seconds, you're ready to go again. In fact, I usually get TPFoe on all my stalkers while considering it optional for everything else.

But no longer possible to have cat ears and elf ears (and other assorted pointy ears) at the same time. My one character Ms Mew is in trouble!
[/ QUOTE ]
Not so, luckily. Cat ears are still in the Detail 1 category as well. -
What about changing the Alternate trays as well. Are there commands for them? Seems to me there would be...

Love the screenie of "Lexpin Kingluthor".
This has been requested before in other threads, but can my zombie mastermind please have a "Vahzilok" buzzing flies aura? My scrapper had it during a series of missions early in her career, so could my zombie toons have it on purpose?
Jay would be much sexier with a red name. -
Do NOT team with a hero in a Pocket D mission, insist on detroying Behemoth-spewing portals rather than complete the mission because "it's good xp," and (when the Blaster dies and goes to the hospital) blame the hero that you died and got debt because SHE killed you, not the behemoths, because she left you there alone. Then, do NOT say that the only way to "keep things cool" is to give you some infamy to make up for your 281 debt (dear heaven, I was looking at over 1000, but who gives a rip?).
This is honestly my first experience with chidlish behavior in these games (believe it or not). I just said, "Heroes can't give villains infamy, and you're out of line."
