Sounds good. I got 2 heroes that will be unlocked that need to get to 50.
-
Due to finances I am going to have to cancel my account and take advantage of the free option for a few months. Don't care if don't get any special rewards or what not as I have several heroes that need to continue on to 50. My question is if you are only allowed 2 heroes to play on the free option how is it determined which two you get to play. I play entirely on Freedom and I don't feel like re-rolling a hero on another server and going thru the grind all over again. Any ideas or has anybody heard how this will be implemented ???

Could either be a heat issue or a piece of hardware is failing.

World Texture Level: Very High
Character Texture Level: Very High
World Detail Level (Vis_Scale): 1.000
Entity Detail Level: 1.000
Shadows Enabled: Yes
Shadow Mode: Unknown (4)
Shadow Map Shader: High quality
Environmental Reflections: High quality
Advanced Occlusion Settings: No
Ambient Occlusion: High quality
Occlusion Strength: Strong
Blur: Trilateral
Ambient Resolution: Quality
I would start by lowering all your settings from very high to the lowest possible and slowly work back up till you find a sweet spot that your system can handle. I currently run at medium settings and it helped reduce the lag. I know shadows and environmental reflections were the ones dragging me down. -
Start saving your money. $500 is not nearly enough to run this game as you want. I built my own pc two years ago and spent $900 on it and the game runs great. I don't max the settings, I get 60 FPS unless its a major battle and it drops into the 20's, I hardly ever get rubberbanding and I have uber fast load times. Check out the guide by Father X-Mas on how to build a PC as it was what I followed and it was the best choice I have ever made when it comes to a computer.

The more I read this the more convinced I am that the shop see's a "sucker" and is trying to rip you off big time. I would never talk or do business with them again.
-
You can buy the parts and build it yourself for a whole lot cheaper. Check out Father X-Mas guide to building a PC. I followed it and saved myself a ton of cash and got the system I wanted.

I see this once in a while as well thou it is very rare. I run 4gigs of RAM with a GTS 250 and most of the settings on medium. Never found a fix for this even updating all drivers. I chalk it up as a simple glitch that occurs once in a while and as long as I can still play the game I am not to worried about it.

Wow, someone still does PvP

Are you tired of looking for a team on the Freedom server ??? Do you tire of broadcasting LFT ??? Don't you wish there was an easier way. Well, now there is. Introducing the Freedom team channel. Open 24-7 (unless there is downtime due to server issues or other hardware related stuff), 365 days a year, the Freedom Team channel gives you access to other players looking to team no matter what level range. Inter-level teaming is actually encouraged. So don't be that lowely level 7 blaster in Atlas Park broadcasting LFT, join this new channel and meet other players and make friends you can team with on a regular basis no matter what level range or type of hero/villian you log in with. Space is limited so join now.

FIOS is the way to go. Had it almost 2 years and I will never go back to Time Warner and their stupid RoadRunner internet. Join the ranks and make the switch.

Update all your drivers first and foremost. That should get you started. Also, don't start right off with ultra mode maxed out. I found it's better to work your way from the lowest settings and up to see what your system can handle.

I just got done fixing that same error myself but in my case it turned out to be from a failed hard drive. An upgrade to Win 7 should fix the problem as you are formatting the partion where Vista is at anyways and Win 7 comes with its own NTLDR.
-
Thats actually one of the links I used to try and fix the problem but the hard drive itself was toast. I ran SeaTools DOS and it never passed the short or long test so I just replaced it and it's all good now.

One new 80GB HD and we are up and running. First encounter with a failed HD as I am kinda new to all this tech stuff but it sure was fun fixing it thou the 3 hours of downloads afterwards was not so much fun.

I actually have a pretty new rig I built last year based on the Father X-Mas guide. Best thing I ever did and the game looks and runs great.
The e-machine I am fixing is for one of my wifes co-workers and she cannot afford a new pc at this time so I am hoping it is only the HD and a new one with a fresh XP install will get her running again -
-
Also let me rephrase that I can get to the c prompt via the recovery disc but the system does not recoqnize the chdsk command line, some kind of error that is an invalid command and yes I did double check to make sure I typed it right.
Gonna run SeaTools Dos to see if that helps to isolate the HD as the problem and then Memtest to see if its the RAM if the HD passes. -
The machine I am working on is a very old E-Machine D3107. Only 1 HD and only 256 RAM installed. I am going to assume it has gone the way of the dinosaur and has simply died.

So I am trying to fix a pc and upon bootup I get a black screen with a missing NTLDR error saying to press ctrl - alt- del to restart which I do. I go into the BIOS and everything looks ok so I set the system to boot from the cd and throw in the xp install disc to launch the repair tool. Repair tool comes up and I get the c prompt to manually type the copy command and get those files uploaded. system says files cannot be found. Great I say, I'll have to reformat. So I go thru the proccess of deleting the partion and creating a new one and everything seems fine till I get error after error message stating this .dll file is missing. I hit ok for over 5 minutes to get rid of them. Machine then gets to 5% and says it is now missing the wdigest.dll file and many many more. System will not let me go beyond this point. If I try to continue without the file is starts popping up more of those errors. Not sure what the problem is except for maybe a failing hard drive. Can't run any diagnostic tools to see what else might be wrong as I can't get to the command prompt unless I insert the repair disc. This one is stumping me big time and I need you techies out there to offer some advice I may not have thought of. Thanks.

Time: 4:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time (6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Central Time)
Server: Freedom
I hope this is changed cause the server will crash and that's before the time I can log on so either way both are bad for me at this point -
Less lag in both BAF's I ran last night but the lag was still there. Powers were firing off slightly faster as well. Is it perfect ??? No it is not. Is it better ??? I think so and I look forward to the final fix for this issue.
