As for my toon, I don't think Hospy needs a particular enemy group. As a matter of fact, the best way to represent Hospy is to put her healing only, distant and blurry, in the background of several fights.
If you get to a rather bloody fight... like an RV AV takedown... that's when someone might actually catch Hospy firing off her Rad Blasts, rapid-fire. -
Only Gang War thugs stay after the player dies, because they're summoned pets, not controlled pets.

You are awesome to put your house quest first, and you'll be missed. I'll do what I can to make some of these!

Got three redside Respecs brewing for tonight... and as I'm working on a 31 Stalker and a 49 MM at the moment, lots of redside TF-ing to be had.
-
The two most effective PvP MM's I've encountered have been a Robots/FF and a Necro/Dark... and those concepts work together really, well, too, which makes me think the synergy was intended by the Devs.
I have a Ninja/Dark that's really fun, but not as effective; the Dark doesn't really have Synergy with the Ninja abilities beyond giving them a level of pre-attack stealth. If I had known Ninja/Storm would be available (aka Tsoo Sorcerors), I probably would have waited. -
Not to further the argument, but I can see this situation from both sides... as the */Pain MM that got turned away, and as the guy that regularly puts together Task Forces and builds team with what's on hand.
If, for example, a Rad/Rad Defender has no toggle debuffs, the question isn't Why didn't you take those sweet debuffs, the question is what can the team depend on from you? Which (I imagine) is a Debuffing Ranged Blaster with no melee to distract.
Everything helps; the question is just what will fit with the current group? If the group has a few AoE toggle debuffs already, then the Rad Blaster comes in handy (and buffs the team with AM, too).
Nobody should tell anyone what to do with their toon, but a TF organizer, for instance, has to look at what will work together for the good of the team. A non-toggling Rad/Rad Defender has it's uses, and no one should tell someone how to run their toon... or how to stock their team.
Which, as much as it kills me, means I guess I have to let go of my grrrrrrr at the fellow who told me he was passing on my PD for Empathy. I shouldn't have been asked to change to an alt, but I can't fault someone for wanting what an Empathy has over my PD. -
Dunno about Necro/Pain, Crackback, but Thugs/PD is awfully sweet.
I initially skipped Anguishing Cry for the really awful Empty Clips, and now that I know what Anguishing Cry does...
The attack combo of Gang War/Nullify Pain/Vengeance/Conduit of Pain/Anguishing Cry/World of Pain is just funny-- up to ten Vengeanced, minion-level thugs chipping away at something big while you blanket heal 'em (and the rest of the team). -
I'll throw a triple redside respect tonight, beginning at 8 p.m. Eastern.

Quote:This. The Villain Empathy IS Pain Domination. That is why Lascota would be irritated by that.
In some case Pain Domination is actually better than Empathy; in some cases, less. Certainly it's comparable. Being that PD also has a fairly nasty Defense/Resist Debuff on it, and that two of my Thugs have Defense Debuffing weapons, saying "screw your PD, I'll hold out for Empathy" is puzzling. -
Farm all you want, PL to your heart's content, but for the sake of children working for peanuts, stop buying Influence, Infamy, and PLing. It's bad etiquette, as it encourages them to send mail to EVERYONE NOT DOING IT.
-
Me: Hey, can my Thugs/Pain MM join your ITF?
Them: No, sorry... got an Empath? -
I smell Doom.
Or bacon-flavored ice-cream.
Can't tell 'em apart right now, sinuses. -
Last night's raid was great fun, thanks for running it!

They don't push you; you push them.
Which, if you push them into Perception range, is just as bad... but if something can see you at the door anyway, well, better to have them then try to spawn and train them up, yes? -
If this turns out to be a practical joke, I'm sorry, but someone must pay with their privates.

Shaytanah,
I really love my Shield/War Mace, Riot Shield. I dressed him like a riot cop and I think I enjoy the powers and the animations more than the actual function of the toon.
Some of the gems in that pairing include Shield Charge, which is ridiculously good fun... the knockup (not a typo) in Jawbreaker makes you want to slot it purely for Accuracy and Knockback... and Crowd Control and Whirling Mace are just fun powers in the middle of a mob. -
Pet costumes in the costume templates.
Okay, I understand why you don't want Pets included themselves... but if I want, say, an Oni, all I need is the Oni costume and to make a Custom Fire/Fire Dominator. -
Okay, new thought-- is there a way to make a Fire/Fire Dom as a Boss that looks just like an Oni?

I said previously that MA caused my food to taste too salty. I misspoke; this occured in Issue 14, upon MA's release.
Issue 15 had so improved the state of play for me that the taste was slapped out of my mouth. -
I was reading Stephen King's IT this morning before work, and it made me hungry for a Twinkie for this first time in two decades.
-
Aha... thanks, just the info I needed!
-
I'd like to add Oni (Ninja demon) to my custom enemy group, but I can't find an entry for them. Does anyone how where or how? I keep hearing they're in a Pets category, but I can't seem to find Pets.

While a sewer link could be handled in a way to guarantee no PVP actions except in a single zone, I can't see the Rogue Isles having a vast sewer system.
I could see it having something claustrophobic... dark, long, and wet... but not the vast system full of Rikti in Paragon City.
