You guys would be MUCH less braindead about 'normal maintenance, isn't it?' if it occurred during your prime time.
Normal maintenance starts about 15 minutes from now, some 2 HOURS after this current 'oh sorry, the servers are going down, bye bye' debacle.
Thats 2.5 hours of 'gameplay' we Aussies don't get between 8:30pm and the 'normal' maintenance start of 11pm.
But hey, live in your glasshouses, unthinking brethren. Your time will come and then you'll be up in arms when the servers go down during -your- primetime.

sorry its during your primetime sir....but if you dont want that to happen....move to where the food is......pretty simple actually -
I used one....its called....
wait for it....
Graph Paper!
not meaning to sound snarky here, but using that to layout rooms and the overall plot is pretty easy and low tech. I even got a little high tech and over a few lunch breaks at work I layed it out in AutoCad 2009 so I could get some room concepts mapped out.
But a pencil and graph paper is cheap and easy to use....come on let your inner architect out man! -
I /bugged it ingame
but i just recieved the 39 thru 51 month vet rewards but should only have 36.
anyone else getting this? -

Must be the dark clouds.
We are in Rhode Island, don't forget.

Storm fronts in RI dont worry me.......seeing the Vortex2 mobile Doppler Radar trucks and all the chase vehicles in the parking lot of my favorite lunch spot, and a ugly sticky Kansas sky above....now that worries me
Oh and cool pic....moar bigger robots plz.... -
it might have been under the "local" tab....I'm at work still so I cant check.
So it stores them on that PC...ok, I guess that makes sense....thanks -
I have 2 accounts, which in the beginning were to have one as blue side and one as Red, as this was before the extra slots.
So now I am messing with the MA, I make a mission on my main account. A few days later, I am on my 2nd account, and I decide to mess around on my mission, forgetting I am not on my main account.
Its a published mission, which at last look had zero plays (sob...) but thats not the issue (it is a sucky 1st timer mission).
What my question is: How can I open and edit a mission across 2 accounts because it sure as heck lets me do it. Is this a bug or a "design feature"?
Any insight would be helpful....... -
I was going to say the devs Killed him by pretty much ignoring the Base Builders Forum
-
think its bad now....you should have seen what it was like before they cut most of the prices to a 1/3 of what they were...
....oh and get off my lawn you dang kids!
I feel for new SGs.... -

The closest we've seen semi-recently was Moment of Glory. Rather than a long term Tier 9 that in some cases made you easier to kill, it's now basically a defensive Build Up that gives you a moment of being really tough to kill. It actually became a Moment of Glory.

So whats that make the Crey PP's version....15 minutes of glory?
:::the above was typed out with tongue planted firmly in cheek::: -
Ok, I have been staring at concrete joist bluelines from 1921 too long today Castle.....
Do they now get the bonuses from the Soulbound set or not?
Just asking cuz I be confused....per normal -
true...and when solo i go that route, but on teams....I usually dont get near the dog pile. I use siphon power to increase my holds from afar....while waiting on other stuff to recharge. Usually the mobs are down before FS recharges for the next round
-
FS is your force multiplier. It take normal damage dealt and jacks it thru the roof. It makes melee guys just rip the guts out of whatever is around them. It makes having crack loving imps from hell worth the trouble they can cause. FS is the big block hemi that makes the fire/kin roll.
Once you get flashfire....worrying about the alpha goes away. My attack chain goes like this, Flashfire, Fire cages, Send in the Clowns...er..I mean imps, wait till the imps and melee guys are in the thick of it...then FS, Sipon power (I skiped Sipon speed) and then firecages again for all those nice "overpower's" popping over the bad guys heads (thats our controller version of a crit) ...check the team board....maybe throw a heal in and a transferance (end mod) and get ready to roll the next group.
Use char for leakers, or that annoying boss (char+sipon power+char again will get him locked down most of the time)...and cinders is either your "get away" power or a sub for flashfire in an emergancy (like double/triple aggro) or if you need a stun when FF isnt up.
I tend to just SB the main tank, or if sans tank, the 1 or 2 main melee scrappers. I try to keep an eye on the team and will bolster teammates who are struggling. If however I watch say a scrapper go thru his attack chain and see his end plummet to nothing, I know hes a moron and I tend to ignore his cries of "SB plz". Its up to you to decide how you want to play your toon.
I see my firekins as crowd control 1st, buffer 2nd, damage master of the universe a distant 3rd. I like to see neat packs of burning mobs with my teammates hammering them in melee....but thats just me.
Also a suggestion, get some form of knockback protection, I use both recipe prots and acrobatics....I came up thru to 50 prior to IO's and all that and got tired of being bounced across the room. The leadership pool also works well (and helps the imps)....hope you enjoy your firekin....I know I enjoy mine (plural)
If your on protector, look me up I'll show you some tricks -
this just came thru in global
[Admin] Attention! In 15 minutes, the City of Heroes and City of Villains servers will go down for maintenance reasons. Further information can be found in the City of Heroes Forum.
so something is up.... -
Are you using a "push to talk" key? it might be stuck. Or...are you using dual screens or running CoX in windowed mode? if either of those is the case I find sometimes my courser is out of the CoX screen and is pointing on my desktop or something.
I have been running vent (and TS) since I came to CoX back in 06...I cant say I have had a problem. That doesnt mean you are not having issues. I just havent seen it. -
messed up how?
if your talking about this:
aaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssdesssssssssssssssss12222sss Hello I must be going
then thats something they have screwed up since I14 went live. -
I noticed last night my toggles turned off on entering a SG base
-
**Hands "Player" a couple of tanks of Oxygen**
I would hate for him to pass out way up there atop his soapbox -
work...you know like keeping the tank buffed, and throwing holds all over, and heals, and AOE end gain, and FS, and trying not to get squashed like a bug, or mezzed into jello.
You do like to add your own interpretations upon other peoples words dont you, and twist them to support your view.
The ticket nerf (and thats what it was) was dumb. and if you cant see that, then there is no point arguing about it. like I said you play your way for you, I'll do my thing, my way. -
I'm not asking for 1 billion tickets, hell I'm not asking for 9999 tickets, but if the mission is hard and takes a well tuned 8 man team to get thru, then it should reward accordingly.
hey if you are all about stories and RP and all that and for you the MA is the reward.....more power to ya. You play the game the way its fun for you and I'll play it my way.
let me rephrase it for you Player, at 1500(or less) there is little incentive other than inf (which I'm sure is on the next thing on the nerf bat list) for me to even take part in the MA. I'm not here to release my inner Bard. I got that out of the way 30 years ago playing PnP D&D in the version 1.0 days. I am here to have some enjoyment, interact with my gaming buddies, have some laughs, and do my part on whatever team I am on.
When I put in the work, I expect to get something in return -
did I say blank sheets? I said signature AVs at lvl 52-54 with Hard mobs.... not fire imps (which were rightfully killed off)
1500 ticks or less is a waste. It should scale with mission difficulty..... I mean heck my team is taking all the risk, where is the vaulted reward part of the ratio? -
When I fight GW, LR, and the rest of the big name AVs on one map and survive.....I'd like some sort of reward to you know actually be worth the effort. Less than 1500 (and as someone above pointed out it seems much less) is really not worth the effort. Because nothing but ticks and insp drop....there is no incentive to use the MA now.....sorry but thats how I see it.
YMMV
