I'm thinking of making a new brute, and want to do a combo's I've rarely if ever seen on a brute. Either a Fire/Dark or DB/Elec.
Is there a reason I don't see these two combo's often? Do they not mix well, or are they simply better on a different AT? I'm also interested in how well a db/elec would compare to a claws/elec, since I already have a claws/elec at 50
Any advice would be appreciated -
I'll also chime in saying GIS is defaintly skippable and agree with Nuclear that pairing it with Fiery Aura is a solid choice. I'd say it's also makes a good pairing with Shield Defence, due to AAO boosting ice's damage, and the pairing of Shield Charge with Frozen Aura is rather nice.

I've had a quick look and come up with my own verson. You will hit 48% melee with one hit of DA, increased recharge to 52.5%, regen is the same. Increased end recovery and reduced end usage. Have lost a bit of def, s/l resist and down to 4kb prot. Still within the range of popping a small purple and hitting over 45% on ranged and aoe. Hopefully this build will help and give you ideas.

Worked on Shield/Ice melee build for my tank on Exalted. Thought I'd post it and see what you guys think. I've gone for around 50% def to allow for some def debuff in normal content, with dmg buff set bonuses and regen. Also chosen spiritual alpha to increase recharge, and healing on both true grit to increase max hp and the regen boost from health and eventually improve rebirth destiny when I get it. Any comments and feedback would be apprecited

I've looked at the build, tightened it up a bit while keeping the same power selection. Had to move hasten to lvl 49, to increase def. I've made it possible to now hit the incarnate softcap on s/l/e/n by either having 10 people in range when you hit Engery Absorption, or by getting agility alpha and having 1 person in range when using it. I've also increased the end redux and recharge in hoarfast while slightly lowering the healing, which shouldn't make much of a differnce as when you use it you will be hitting the hp cap either way. Also changed the two end mods in stamina to 2 pieces of p-shift, as the proc generally gives a bigger boost than 1 end mod, and it also can help if you get end drained for example. I added the accolades as I'm sure you would probably get round to getting them if you like the character enough. Finally I changed two pieces of devastion in char to Basilik's gaze to balance out the s/l and e/n def. Overall end usage is tiny bit higher than original, but with the p-shift proc should balance it out.

I've been thinking bout making a /poison corruptor since I recently got my fire/poison controller to 50. But not sure which blast set to put with it. I had thought of rad, since the debuff and places to put achilles heel procs could be good with irriddate for example working well with venemous gas. Although I have heard stories of rad blast being low on damage. So I'm looking for suggestions for what would be best to put with poison on a corruptor

They don't stack. But they do splash which gives me a smaller debuff to mobs around them. So you can do them both one target, and then same on target next to it, and they'll both be effected by the main debuff, and the small splash amount, giving you greater debuff in total

Made a fire/poison controller last week. Recently got them to 41, and thinking bout slotting and setting up when they reach 50 which hopefully won't take too long. I've come up with a build, looks ok but not 100% happy with. So looking for someone to look over the build and see if there are ways it could be improved.
I went ice mastery for the def shield, and ice storm for the damage which should work well with the debuffs. The only major issue I can see with the build is the end usage is rather high. Any help would be greatly appreciated

After checking out you guys builds, which has helped alot thankyou. I've come up with a some adjustments to the build which has pretty much gotten it to how I want, expect for one thing. still no taunt sadly. I could fit in taunt if I got the +3% def pvp io and replaced FA with taunt, but I won't be able to do that for awhile. Here's the new build I've come up with.

I've got a Elec/TW tank, who's just hit 40. So I was thinking bout slotting up a bit now and then finishing the rest when he hits 50. I've worked out a build for him that I quite like, even if it has a few things I'm not so keen on to achieve what I wanted. He's got 90% on s/l/e, and 60%+ on n/f/c/p. So should be quite sturdy.
Things I don't like bout it are needing a pvp set to get the last bit of s/l res to hit 90%, def isn't as high as I'd like, and manuevers is underslotted and having no taunt. Hopefully you guys can help me improve it and make it as good as I think it could be. I ideally would like to get taunt in there somewhere, and keep 90% res on s/l/e. Any help would be greatly apprecitated and I hope this tank will become my first ever lvl 50 tank

I've got a spines/ea, recently got them upto lvl 39, so almost ready to start the process of switching to redside to sort out unlocking patron pool powers.
I have worked out a build for him, but would like some advice and tips on how it could be improved. I'm not sure about Overload, as this is my first engery aura character I've had and am unsure if it's worth taking or not. If it's not worth taking, what should I replace it with?
I'm also unsure on alpha, as spiritual would help with healing for more and more often. But agility would give me more def, which would help if I got debuffed.

I've been thinking about making a new defender. I've decided on sonic as the secondary. I have gotten it down to either cold, rad or dark for the primary but could be persuaded for other ideas. Each have their pro's and cons and can't choose between them so I'm asking on here for advice to help me choose. I'm looking for something that would be good in teams and would be able to solo as well. As certain times of the day it can be tricky to find/form a team. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Union isn't much better, few green, odd yellow and quite alot of red. Had a number of crashes due to lagging out during loading a map

Turns out in my original post, for some reason the datalink, wasn't working. So I've edited and redone the build info, and confirmed that the new link works. So any advice/tips for build would be appreciated. I have left out purple's from the build mainly because of cost reasons, even tho it would help my psi defence

Made a fire/shield brute awhile back, recently started playing him and got into him quite abit. he's currently lvl 28. Worked out a build for him once's he's 50 and incarnated. I've already slotted in him the steadfast res/def unique io in tough, numina, miracle and regen tissue uniques in health and 1 perf shifter chance for +end in stamina. The uniques are at lowest lvl possible so I still get benefit if I do any low lvl tf's in the future, i.e WST's. I do have BOF in the build as at low lvls is only form of aoe I have and with fury the damage isn't that bad
But am looking for advice on how to improve it and am unsure of how to use the last slot available as it could be used in a number of different ways. Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated.

I've joined some of the TT's on Saturday on the Euro Servers and I think it's a great idea to have the TT Euro saturday as a regular thing. As I am from the UK and doing the normal one during the week isn't practical because of how late it would be on a weekday. I've had lots of fun doing the TT I've been to and met some nice new people

Ok, after you guys feedback and some tweaking, I've come up with a new build.
Been able to increase hp regen quite abit and added a minor bit of def, so best of both worlds. Had to sacrifice some procs, but then if I'm using swap ammo anyway I'll be procing extra damage with fire ammo for example. In a very minor way I increased end as well, 0.025/s increase not much but every little helps.
Also with the changes I think overall cost of build might of gone down slightly which is a nice bonus. Atm I won't be changing alpha slot, as I have this toon at 50 using the same alpha and the damage boost from it has helped quite alot.
Let me know what you think of the new improved build I've come up with.

This is the best build I could seem to come up with, without going perma hasten as I don't want that. Any advice or tips on how to improve it would be much apprecticated as sure I've ended up missing something.
I realise it's not a cheap build with the purples in it, but it's more of wishfull thinking build that I could work upto. I've got some lvl 40 sets in there as for some the bonus are handy and allows me to keep some set bonuses if I do lower lvl content which I like to do, as it's nice to mix things up a bit occasionly or to help someone out if they need it. Anyway here's the build, let me know what you think.
