TT on sat for EU servers

I have been thinking we do TT on the US servers every Tuesday why not do another one on every sat for the EU servers. Every week we will do it on a dif server just like on the US servers. I would like your feed back on this idea if possible.

I've joined some of the TT's on Saturday on the Euro Servers and I think it's a great idea to have the TT Euro saturday as a regular thing. As I am from the UK and doing the normal one during the week isn't practical because of how late it would be on a weekday. I've had lots of fun doing the TT I've been to and met some nice new people

Are you suggesting rotating to the French and German servers as well? For purely practical reasons that might be tough since a lot of people on other servers don't speak those languages and I think it would limit the number of "tourist" players they'd get.

Doing a once-a-month rotation between Union and Defiant like we do for Freedom and Virtue would work great, though.

I think it could work, the only problem I can see is that having it every Saturday evening (euro time) would be the greater likelyhood it may clash with other events or with people wanting to do a trial etc.

I've been thinking about how to increase the number of TTs, in gerneral, and on the Euro servers for some time (ever since Hyperstrike1 alerted me to the server list merge, months before the it happened). As Tired mentioned if we saturate Saturday's with TTs we run the risk of event conflicts not only in game, but also in RL for our core touring group ("the heart" of the TT Tour). And, as Finduilas mentioned there is a potential language issue on the French and German servers, not that learning either of these languages would be bad for me, but it does present a logistical boundry when we start there.

So, what's the best way to proceed? I like the idea of more TTs, I always have and always will, but I think we should grow the interest on the British servers, which we have established, and "tour" the others until we can get the pulse of Saturdays.

As of right now we have established the 3rd Saturday of the month as our "Euro Tour Date", how about we set that as either Defiant or Union, choose another Saturday for the other one (perhaps the first Sat), then look at attendence. We could then choose another Saturday for the remaining servers to "tour" to and build interest that way. We could expand to set dates when the server population requests it (as we've done here on the US servers), and if either the 1st or 3rd Sat on the British servers doesn't take, we can use that as our "Tour Date".

Also, don't forget about i21 and the "Free to Play" We'll pick up a VIP server then too (not sure on the details).

Due to RL commitments I'm not sure I'd be able to coordinate the TT tour on the US servers as well as give the Euro servers the attention they deserve. If someone would like to step forward and coordinate the TT Euro servers I'd be happy to give some advice and guidelines. The most important being, Make sure everyone has a team, before the event coordinator starts a TF. I think this is a major reason so many folks return and join the TT tour. They know they can count on getting a team and have fun playing their Tank.

The TT vets really keep an eye on who's showing up and when and work hard to make sure everyone is on a team. I don't want to lose this underlying (almost unspoken) TT rule by expanding too quickly or being in a rush to get on all servers "now".

I'd like to once again thank all the folks who help make the TT Tour work. Without the efforts and dedication of so many players we wouldn't be where we are today, and looking to expand to new servers.
