No need to be sorry. People looked like they had fun and we had decent turnout. We'll most defiantly be doing more concerts. I'm thinking we'll have another no later than mid-November.

Update: Both the Poster and the Top post have been fixed
  5. Added Ezekiel Covington and Laurel Takara-Smith to the guest list.

I'm planning on making these concerts about once every month or two. The next one will be Music from Credits and I'll try and make that one a weekday event.
  6. I just added pictures of the stage and balcony levels to help people choose which level they wish to be on. Electric-Knight and Silvertron, just let me which you prefer. I am glad you both like this event!

Lets try a different kind of roleplay event
The Roleplaying community has a lot of role-playing events to choose from. We have all done the Dance Parties, the in character taskforces, the static team and countless hours standing around PRing in our SG’s base of operations but when is the last time you went to something new? The in is time for your character to attend a classical music concert!

    How it works
This Concert will work as close to the real thing as possible but here is a general outline of the evening. Like a real life concert, this kind of thing is often attended with friends, love ones or, perhaps a date. Dress up a little or a lot. It’s all up to you.

    1. Head to the Atlas Park Base portal and look for a member of Hero Heights standing by it. This person will invite you to a league so you man enter the base and theater.

    2. Go to into ParagonBroadcasting.com and start listening to the stream so you can hear the music and the ambiance. The station will cut into normal programing at least 20 minutes before the concert start time to help us start the proper mood.

    3. Before the concert starts, feel free to find your seat, chatter in local with your neighbor, or just hang out in the lobby and watch the pretty people walk by.

    4. During the Concert, standard concert behavior please! Emote and talk in a whisper. If it is a loud whisper and others can hear you, use /e. If only your neighbor can hear, then /tell.

    5. There will an Intermission. Same idea as before the concert started.

    6. More music!

    7. The concert ends and people eventually exit the theater. You, do not, however, have to leave the Heights. The neighborhood is full of places get a bite to eat, relax in or just enjoy.

In order to get a general idea of how many people are coming to the concert, we ask you sign up ahead of time by replying to this thread. Please state if you would like to be in on the Stage or Balcony level and the size of your party. Each level has approximately 60 seats.

    Stage Level

    1. Amazing Ape and guest
    2. Ezekiel Covington
    3. Laurel Takara-Smith
    4. Square_Woot
    5. Cyclone Shield
    6. Ardrea (and a possible guest)
    7.
    8.

    Balcony Level

    1. Transmogrify
    2. Echo Mirage
    3. Daughter Dawn and guest
    4. Robby Rush and guest
    5. Jazual
    6.
    7.

    You can Help!
In addition to coming to the event, you could be part of it. We need players who would like to be on stage as part of the Steel Canyon Orchestra. We could also use other staff to help the theater come alive. If you are willing to help, please reply and say how you would like to assist!

    Let will help

    About the Venues
Hero Heights is a neighborhood themed supergroup whose base represents an area outside the war walls between Steel Canyon and Independence Port. The heights is home to a high concentration of meta families living in it and, hence, is considered by many as the safest place in Paragon City outside of Atlas Park proper.

Here is some flavor text to give you the general idea:
“Welcome to Hero Heights! We are an unusual neighborhood.
Crime just doesn't happen here. That might be because the shoplifters that tried to rip off Holman's Market three years ago didn't know that Mr. Holman was The Wall before he retired in the 1980s. Or was it because Ms. Quicklight was shopping there at the time? No, it was probably because Mandy, Mr. Fashion's 6-year-old daughter, used her heat vision when one shoplifter pulled a gun, and Pastor Henry encased the other perp in ice until the police could arrive.”

    About the McIntosh Theater
The McIntosh theater was built in 1923 as a combination vaudeville stage and movie theater by millionaire Benjamin McIntosh. A confirmed bachelor with no heirs, Mr. McIntosh set about spending his fortune on buildings in immigrant communities. Hero Heights is one such community and was blessed with a 120 seat in the art deco style.

The building amazingly survived the First Rikti Invasion mostly intact and has been restored over the last few years to it’s current fantastic state.

The three-block area that is the Hero Heights neighborhood has earned its reputation mainly because approximately 30 percent of its residents have meta abilities. The rest of our neighbors are happy knowing that in one place on earth, they are truly safe.

Perhaps metas come to this close-knit community just north of Galaxy City looking for a place they feel like they belong, and we are proud to be that place. Heroes here do not face the discomforting celebrity status and near-worship that many people with hero licenses suffer. Other are comforted that there are other people who understand just down the block.

    Infinity-verse?

We do not have anything like the Virtueverse at this time. There has be talk of starting such a thing in the infinity RP community, but no one has as of yet. If someone wants to make a go of it, send me a PM and I can provide ad free hosting for it after the new year.
  13. This party is actually at 10pm EST, not seven as the subject like says.

  14. All Roleplayers are welcome to come to the Hero Heights Halloween Street Party in the Hero Heights SG base. The party starts at 7pm and ends when the last person leaves (which is generally 6 am PST most days). Sadly, your character must have a alignment that lets you into Hero bases by the time of the Party to get inside the Base.

  18. I'm the leader of one of the two bigger RP supergroups. We have a small but active RP community happening on Infinity. Be sure to take a look at the RP at the
Infinity Roleplaying Supergroup Census -Sept. 2009 - Current
    . It's still pretty current.

If you have any questions about RP on this server, feel free to ask.
  19. Two week was the last radio show where SI Radio and the Paragon Broadcasting service where officially link. SI will continue to have a Radio show in D on Fridays at 10 pm EST and that is probably the best time to catch random RP.

Hero Heights tends to have RP every night. Feel Free to join the "HeroHeights" Global channel so you are able to catch us easier.
  20. The Infinity server has quite a few High Schools that our RPer use.

Hero Heights High School - This is my Supergroup's neighborhood high school. About 4 of our Player Characters (of like 25) attend it. Even just having the building in our base helps make the Neighborhood concept feel more real.

Bloodvine Academy - This is home the other big RP supergroup on the server. Based on the Villain side, this SG sports about 25ish players and approximately 25 player characters.

Formally Saint Joseph School - Before folding this Super Group was the cornerstone of Infinity RP. A lot of server's Character's have pasts at St. Joes, which is why I mention it.

Other are comforted that there are other people who understand just down the block.

A year after the first invasion, people who remember the area as the Gerszewski Hill neighborhood remember a different place than it is today. The devastation that had visited much of the city allowed a community that was already in decline to become a haven for the Hellions and Tsoo. Gang wars became common. All but the most stubborn or desperate residents left. Things finally turned around when Fusion Fuss returned to her childhood home and, disturbed, convinced her small supergroup to help drive out the evil that was there.

Driving out the gangs was easy. Convincing them not to return after the heroes went home was a different matter. Frustrated, Fusion bought an old apartment building and offered reduced rent to any person with a hero license. Many fledgling heroes took her up on her offer. Then, a few of the more veteran bachelors took up residence and Fusion bought a second building. Eventually, heroes and other metas began moving in on their own and Hero Heights became what it is today.

    Background & Structure:

Currently the largest Roleplaying supergroup on Infinity, Hero Heights is designed to be a flexible concept that almost any mostly sane character can be a part of. The neighborhood is represented in the Supergroup base and is highly detailed.

Admission Notes/Requirements: Hero Heights works on the idea that everyone needs to be a little special. If we have a concept like yours apply, we're going to want to know how yours if different from the one we have. Don't worry, we want to work with you.

  25. Systems tend to shut off suddenly when they get too hot as well. It's possible you have a dead fan someplace or a build up of dust that does not put the same stress rendering images that the real time rendering of COH puts on it.

Before you go off and get a new power supply, I would open up the case and have a look. It's it's dusty in there, Time to get a can of Dust Off.

To see if it's a dead fan, I would look at the Graphics Card and CPU first. Make sure you power up the PC when you are looking.

Hope that helps and that you are up and running again soon.
