    Floating Coins

Personally, I've always liked the circle around the contact's feet, and thought it looked much more classy than the floating coin/arrow/whatever that other MMOs have over their contact's heads.

An option to turn them off would be great. If you like the coin, fine, keep it on.
  2. This is happening with my characters on Freedom.

I have a new character where almost the entire zone is showing as revealed.

Then I'll start up older characters, and the entire zone is showing as never travelled.

Nice how they're breaking stuff that has been working fine since the game's inception.
  3. Suggestion 1:
You get one of the following messages during a trial:
<Character Name> has left the league.

    Or when starting the trial:
    <Character Name> has declined.

I'd really like it if you could click said name to leave a note and rating.

    Suggestion 2::
Give the option to show your personal star ratings in the league listing.
Also, I'd like to see my note as a tooltip by hovering over the star rating.

The net effect of these two changes is to allow me as a league leader of a PUG (PUL?) to identify who I can count on to at least stick for the entire duration of a trial.

Not sure I understand what you're saying...
Character unlock items are limited to whichever character claims them.
Account unlocks appear for all your toons and can be claimed by all your toons ( with the exception of the level 50 incarnate pieces ... ugh )

I guess experiences will vary - depending on the number of +3s I guess.
I've completed 2/5 successfully so far. Hopefully, the sucess rate will increase as people get used to the trial.

The only problem i've encountered is finding someone actually running the trial - which isn't often.

Yeah, I know. A lame workaround for a poor design.
  7. I'd prefer to have the old system, where account level items just automatically apply to all characters.

I was attempting to make a new character this morning, and realized that quite a few of the "locked" items would be available to me AFTER I zoned in and unlocked them. Net Result: I have to spend influence to make costume changes that should be available from the character designer. Extremely annoying IMO and a poor design.

The other annoying thing: The incarnate items that sit there and cause your email tray to flash until your character hits 50.
  8. I have a hard time believing anyone can patent/trademark the concept of "superhero". Marvel and DC are not the only comic lines that have ever existed with super heroes. I'd say a court challenge could overturn that - just like with that guy who trademarked the word "Edge".

They have no reason to help in galaxy city. So sabotage and other forms of terrorism for villains to do would be a good thing or bad thing for them to do rather
I'm thinking the rogue isles should have to deal with their own invasion - there's been too much overlap of content lately.
  10. I just ran through the underground trial for the first time, and all I have to say is - I want it all for my base.

    I want the:
    - Mushrooms
    - Wall and Floor Textures
    - Stalagmites/Stalactites
    - Glowy/Swirly floating bubble environmental effect

    From the new Atlas Park:
    - The really tall trees
    - New shrubbery

Make it purchasable in the new store if you must, but that stuff would look really nice in my base...

Yep, it would have to be separate from the tutorial version.
But I would like it to be a fully accessible zone... not just an instance. Maybe the intervening versions of the zone could be instanced and full access to the zone be given to those who complete all the arcs.
  12. The devs have introduced a somewhat limited version of "phasing" technology, where the world subtly changes as you progress through a series of missions. Not sure if the WoW team introduced the concept, but they did a fairly good job with it as you progress through the Death Knight missions - the gameworld changes there were more than subtle however.

It would be nice if the CoH dev team would introduce a series of arcs ( for level 50s ) that would allow you to take back GC from the Shivans.
As you do so, gradual changes would occur to the zone. ( i.e. Meteors could be destroyed, perhaps more destruction mid-arc as you fight the bad guys, reconstruction of buildings, etc. )
  13. Check out the contact for my ticket farm arc
    "Who ya gonna call?"

I think I got it fairly close.
  14. I tried getting on the VIP server ASAP after they finally got it up and running. I managed to reserve 1 of 2 names that I wanted, unfortunately "Hercules" appeared to be one of the first poached. Either that, or they've added it to their list of reserved names. Would have been nice if they had also honored the Beta agreement on this new server, to keep just one name.
  15. Spam enough boards with this same message? I think you might have missed a few...
  16. I wonder if you had something similar to a channel system...

I form an AE "Group" called "Hercules' AE Story Group". I get to invite people to this group and designate who can rate. submit, or remove arcs from the group. The Devs then add the AE group field as a searchable field.

Player B, on the other hand, can create a group called "Cool Fire Farms", the obvious focus being farms.

    Result:
*You have a trusted group of people who will give fair ratings.
    * You can search for arcs that belong in this group only, reducing the amount
of garbage arcs that you have to filter through.
    * A 4-star is no longer a guaranteed "no one will look at my arc" death sentence.
    * As a player, If I think that groups' members give high ratings for arcs I think suck - well, I can avoid that group's arcs.
    * If you think your arcs arent given a fair shake, you can leave the group, automatically losing the ratings associated with that group.
  17. It would be nice if the Devs showed at least a bit of interest in AE beyond fixing farming exploits.

I've been wanting to write a sequel to one of my arcs. But lack of AE enhancements and no fix to the rating system - makes it hard to get motivated.
  18. The one thing that kind of annoys me is the disjoint between the Primal and Praetorian versions of Hamidon.

Primal Hamidon is a giant Amoeba.

Praetorian Hamidon appears to be a ripoff of Starcraft's Overmind.

There needs to be SOME kind of similarity between the two....

    Bodyguard mode?

I've been thinking about making a new MM. So, there's no way to say "attack that mob, but stay in BG mode"?
  20. They could do two things to alleviate this issue:

    1. Require a player to actually play through the entire arc before they can rate it. That would eliminate the drive-by arc griefers.

    2. Institute something like they do in sports competitions - throw away the low and high scores. Perhaps if they threw away the top and bottom 5% of the ratings, you could arrive at something approaching a true rating.

The first three combine macros T1, T2, and T3.
The last deletes awakens and targets the nearest LT.
Thanks! Just tried them out, that puts me down to a consistent 1.5 mins per map - with a little practice and maybe some build tweaking I can get it down to the 60 secs that the pros do.

and i use the red macros to make reds, works perfectly
Hmmm, which macro will auto-combine reds for you? Sounds very useful - I waste a lot of time eating useless insps to make room for reds.

    Farm Reviews

Hmmm, this looks like a challenge. I have my own 5 mission farm arc.
It has a barebones "plot" and minimal text, but I think it would be an interesting project to make it meet both the requirements of the
    story telling and farming communities.

The only things that I can't change to meet the farming requirements:
    1. Power selections have to be all fire based, so there cant be much variability of mobs in that respect. The secondary cannot contribute to survivability of the mob.
    2. The maps have to be front loadable. i.e. all objectives and ambushes
have to be near the entrance and easily recognizable by the farmer.
I'm using only one map atm, but if you know of any other front-loadable maps, I'm all ears.
    3. The end objective must be clickable to allow an easy exit after hitting the ticket cap.

Arc 516010. Rip away, I'd appreciate the feedback on ANY arc of mine, even if it's a 1 star.
