Flurry is worse than KO blow and Kick only beats out Haymaker by 2 points of base damage and has a longer cast time. Neither of those would be viable for pvp or pve IMHO.
Air Sup on the other hand does decent damage in both PvP and PvE and is a great replacemnt for jab. You may want to check your facts with in game numbers instead of mids which has not been updated since just after I13. -
Need more. What kind of build? Farming build, solo build and leveling build if you are going to mal down at times or finished build if you are not.
Pvp or Pve or both?
How much to spend? Sky is the limit and load up with purples or a more conservitive build.
Got your heart set on a travel power or does that even matter? -
9-16 in one run? He must have been doin it wrong. Even with a level pact I could have got you from 1-18 in one run.
Cough ... Um I mean ... there are farms out there that are even better but you have to have a ton of money invested in your toon to survive. -

In one of my undergrad classes, the average on our tests was in the 25% range. My 35% score earned me a B.

Side note
Many terrible professors will grade on a curve when they are unable to convey the information to the students in a way that helps them to acutually learn anything. -
Current grading system in my town.
A = 100-92%
B = 91-83%
C = 82-74%
D = 73-65%
F = 64 or lower -
Now this I like. Arena needs more games that are something other than kill stuff until time runs out.

I kill stalkers all the time on my blaster and they suck because of that I think not.
[/ QUOTE ]
Any Stalker that gets himself killed in PvP did so because he put himself in a position that allowed that to happen. Any competently played Stalker needs never die. Any Stalker that puts himself in such a position is bad because he got greedy and/or impatient, or just thinks way too much of his own abilities.
You are killing bad Stalkers. You are a bad Stalker if you are getting killed. But don't feel too bad, the zones are full of them.
[/ QUOTE ]
Dying doesn't mean your bad necessarily. I usually don't care bout dying and will jump into unsurmountable odds simply cause it's more entertaining than waiting like a snake to pick off the wandering calf from the herd.

This^^^
Used to do this all the time when PVP was fun in I12. Would pop a couple purples, hop into a team of 4-6 heroes on my brute and go to town. Normally ended up dead but most times took 1 or 2 with me.
Post I13 not so much. WP is no longer usefull for brutes in PvP so I dont even bother. Almost any mez shuts off RttC and it takes way too long to turn back on. I miss my Widdle Bunny Foo Foo. May he RIP. -
Difficulty 1 everything kicks down. You have an AV it will be an EB. EB will drop to Boss and boss down to LT. I think with 6 member IIRC is when things step up again.
No clue on the -level on bosses though. -

Why would a player get hit with the "ban hammer" for a Farm? WTF is wrong with all of you? Don't confuse "farm" with "exploitative" otherwise we would have seen bans for everything from Wolves to Drill Machines to Rikti Portals to Kraken sewer trial farming long before the AE existed.
[/ QUOTE ]
Because farming AE isn't allowed. Creating custom lt's that have only attacks what you are immune to isn't allowed. Oh, and they aren't going to fix it either. So just don't play like that ...
[/ QUOTE ]
Soooo what if someone creates fire mobs to face their Ice tank. Would that be ok? So what if I come along (not my arc mind you) with my Fire tank and played the same one. Is the creator suddenly at fault because it is easy for some people and not others?
Nitpick note. No one is immune to any type of damage. -
Lord Recluse spawns buches of bosses so he must be an expoit.

1 or 2 accuracy. 1 Endurance 1 Recharge, the rest damage, is now I normally roll. I always allow for stamina but I have not played /elec so not too sure about if it is "needed" or not.
From my understanding since it does not have any sort of heal you will also want to make room for aid self.
And could you clarify what you mean by EM/EA. Normally the E stands for Energy so your build would be Energy Melee/Energy Aura. However, you mentioned elec so not sure if you are Elec Melee or Elec Armor. If both then it would be Elec/Elec instead of EM/EA. By your previous post I am guessing you are /Elec but not sure. -
Yea that nictus farm in the ITF needs to go. Either that or I need to be able to make 10 ambushes as well in my missions.

Helin Carnate
Miya Borshun - random costumes
Ivanna Slaughter
Cunning Stuntgirl - gotta say that one carefully.
Ms Red -no one reads that right
Ms Information
Ms Steak
Mad Shatter -WM/WP -
Good to see people got my back. And it's he by the way.

Previously I picked Elec vs SR because they are very similar but on opposite ends of the spectrum. Neither has +HP or a heal, both have +recharge.
Being practial and not counting potentail pool powers. Looking at 31% defense in SR. In previous example would be hit with on average of 190 per second.
Elec Resistance woudl be at about 42% and would be dealing with 290.
After rage crash SR would be kicked down to 11% so 39% or 390 points get through.
Elec drops to -20% so 70% of the attacks hit and are resisted for a total damage taken of about 406.
Still ends up being about the same using just AT powers and only IOs- non sets.
The hard part is comparing other sets because there are other mitigating factors to consider when you start throwing in +HP and +Regen and heals that are difficult to factor in. Things like slotting and global recharge get in the way of getting an accurate number for those things. -
Have not had that happen. I would bug it.

I've run into that as well. I only seem to get it consistently at the Atlas building, it's less common at the others. I wonder if it's in some way related to many people using the same door at or around the same time.
[/ QUOTE ]
The other day, I was in Atlas going to a mission from a regular contact. When I got there, I got the "You cannot enter..." pop-up. Twice in a row. On the third attempt, I enter the mission, but I find myself in an AE maniac boss farm mission along with an 8 man team who also had just entered. I asked in broadcast what was going on and got no response from any of the team members I could see buffing each other. It was like they didn't know I was there. I eventually exited and was able to enter my mission no problem on the next attempt.
There's all kinds of monkey business going on with AE these days.
[/ QUOTE ]
Hah my lvl 50 scrapper ended up in someones training mish. You know the first one you get in the outbreak zone. I figured I would be nice and just exit. They apparently could not see me either. -
Bad idea until we get rid of the RMT spammers. Way too many people just delete everything in their inbox without even looking at it.
While most people would be fine, there are plenty of people that would forget they had an item in their inbox and delete it causing more customer service issues. -

Obviously if it is allowed, it just doubles the cheating and exploits that are already out of control in the AE. ......
It would be a shame if double xp was allowed in the AE and that cheaters should prosper.
[/ QUOTE ]
I'm sorry but what cheating are you talking about?
Having all mobs spawn in one place? Fixed
Having tons of altars in one spot maxing out regen? Fixed
Ending the mish early to bypass the ticket cap? Fixed
Making a bunch of custom mobs melee only and using fly to hit them with ranged attacks? Overkill of a fix.
Using custom mobs that you can kill easy that only use a highly resisted damage type? Not an exploit until all mobs that the devs create do all types of damage.
Using all bosses on missions? Not an exploit. Risk vs reward. Yes the reward is great but you put yourself in serous risk taking on several bosses at once.
If you are still finding exploits you should be reporting them to the devs so they can be fixed rather than crying about cheaters on the forums.
Now even though I do spend alot of time on AE farms I still agree that the double XP should not include AE. -
Don't get me wrong, I actually like the idea. I'm just trying to think of potential down sides.
-
Now I play mainly melee toons. That being said, the suggestion to increase drop rate on BF I could live with. If you don't like getting more BF you can either use them right away or save them to make something else.
I could get behind that for a change if it helps out the squishies.
Also much better tone than lashing out at those that did not like your idea.
Edit to add: Nvm, I read your last post so my last sentance no longer applies. -

you can't bypass the rage crash or it's effects. if you stack it all that happens is you crash sooner. and for that matter the crash only lasts 10 secs. what rage is is a 2 min build up. it needs some cool down time(the 10 secs) for a reason. if you want to counter the -def then watch for when rage is crashing, it goes transparent, and eat some purple insps. thats what i do.
[/ QUOTE ]
You cannot bypass the -endurance or -damage but you can bypass the -def if you hit rage again. -
Ok so lets say 2 toons are getting hit by the potential of 1000 points of damage per second from several different minions.
One is SR exactly at the soft cap of 45%
The other is Elec and they are being hit with the most common damage type S/L. The Elec resistance with tough is just about 60% fully slotted. We will also pretend that this elec took weave as well as combat jumping. Only fair as the SR would have probably made the same choices to hit the soft cap. This puts the def at just under 9%
Now for the sake of easy math, we are using even level minions. The SR would be hit 5% of the time for a total of 50 points of damage per second.
The Elec would be hit 41% of the time and resist 60% of that damage for a total of about 164 points per second. So the winner while rage is running is the defense based set.
Now with SS if both had to suffer the rage crash SR would be getting hit about 25% of the time for a total of about 250 damage per second. Ouch
But wait, Elec would be at -11% defense so would be getting hit 61% of the time and still only resisting 60%. He then would then be getting hit for about 244 points of damage per second. Pretty close.
This is all assuming normal IO slotting without sets since that is who the rules are made for.
It is apparent that Defense based sets actually suffer less than resistance based sets before a rage crash and only a little bit more after. It only seems like more because of the difference between 50 vs 250 and 164 vs 244.
Edit becaused I did an oops in my math.
