    Generally no unless you are going for a particular Io set bonus in those powers 3 -4 slots covers them do you use Mids Hero builder you could post your planed build and we can help
  2. Can you sure I did it with my Katana/sr before but it came at a cost.

    I gave up other IO's of + rech and + regen and + end to cove my 8% of defense I lost by not being able to use the +3% defense IO and weave slotted out

    So your decision

  4. Fire/sd with ball of lighting or fireball

    Can do ST damage and aoe damage with SC and GFS and then add in another aoe if you want.

    Then the + damage

    Can /sr farm sure it can survive and does give you 20% recharge but that does not make it a good farm set. Farming is about speed and efficiency which comes down to aoe damage output.

    Yes /sr can survive farming maps but it is still not a good farming secondary.
  6. KM lacks a lot of aoe for farming and sr is not a good farming set period

    elec /sd, /fa /da /ela would be better

    spines /fa or /da

    fire /sd or /fa


    If you insist on using that set and want to add in another aoe switch villain side at 50 go lighting ball because it only requires 1 prereq not 2 like fireball and switch back

    The wording on the description is poor. I thought the same thing after reading the description during beta but testing shows it is on all the time

    I am glad he listen to the feedback on the SC thread; the 150s did not hurt my tricked out Fire/sd but when I was running on my km/sd SO build it sucked because I used it as much for mitigation as an attack the 90s with further reduced damage seem to make the power better for both things still does good damage (not broken amounts of damage) and still on a recycle time that provides solid mitigation.

    No skipping LF is a bad idea because it still increases your dps by more than you think take it and it is not that much of an agro magnet it is not AAO or Invincibility

    I forgot about that set ok 3 of the 4. The app/ppp just left a bad taste in my mouth it remind me of the AV regen overbuff they completely ignored during closed beta despite feedback.

    This is part of an expansion as well that we are paying $30 dollars to get so that adds to the bad taste.

    The reorder has been called since when I started in I2 so I am not going to hold my breath on that ever happening.

    It is simple and I had suggested it in the past to drop the AAO cap now the break point it where does it get balanced what is the magical #% of damage buff. I am not the expert on that part I waiting for the better numbers guys then me to help with that part.

    Hibernate is worthless for Av soloing because you are not doing damage they have regen to and high regen at that Hibernate is a pvp thing.

    Stalker sets are not perfect how does a 8s sniper attack in every set a good idea ? Yes we can skip it but it is stupid to give a set a power that is utterly worthless even for bad players. They sub out duplicate powers with stuff and they should have sub out the sniper attacks with something even remotely useful hell a ST immobilize like ring of fire in place of a sniper shot would had been good.

    The only thing about the entire app/ppp was that it is epic fail because it was last minute (or went down like it was)rushed and then totally ignored after that with out even much in the patch notes.

    The entire app/ppp was done in a rush hap hazard and seemed to be a last minute decision. Then it was pretty much ignored through out beta and disregarded. I think the Devs wanted to make changes but management had other time tables for what they had has a priority.

  18. Martial Arts - unresolved

    Balance: Lacks AoE attacks but doesn't have more single-target damage compared to other sets - SpiderTeo_OC, 2007-09-07

    The ST damage got a buff for Martial Arts bringing it up to one of the better sets this issue should be resolved in I18/GR


    Balance: Martial Arts lacks a general secondary effect (Katana and Broadsword have -Def, Dark Melee has -Acc, Spines has Slow, Claws is faster and less END-costly) - SpiderTeo_OC, 2006-07-03

    This I think was also addressed they gained -def (non enhanceable) as well to the set along with the other changes to Cobra Strike making it a more desirable power to use.


    Balance: Cobra Strike does too little damage for its recharge time, compared to utility powers in other sets like Divine Avalanche, Follow Up, and Impale. Mag 3 stun is useful but lacks a consistent stun power that can be paired for bosses - Arcanaville, 2006-03-10

    This is fixed with a revamping of CS

    I think +Def wont be enough in the upcomming game changes. I already had a bad run in with some Devouring Earth in a tip mission with my claw/SR brute. Having to pull just made me feel like a weakling. I kept checking to see if all my toggles were on. And have you tried the maria arc? Bosses and Lts with a power that contain all 3 leadership toggles is just wrong.



    Oh man oh man. How could I have forgotten all about that power? I gotta come up with a scrapper combo just for that power. Never hurts to have more.
    Haha I remember when I got perma elude with 6 slotted hasten game me 5% defense and 6 slotted passives etc and I was at like 150% defense and I said watch me clear the floor and the dam crystal lt dropped that emulator and I folded like a cheap suit

    DE and that Crystal drop is a SR Kryptionite
  21. Is the damage going to be comparable ?

    The mids eyeball test they look close and instead of taking two powers to get fireball you only have to take one to get ball of lighting

    Has anyone tested the two against each other

    Mids and APP/PPP

    I posted this during the Beta so I figured this would help people until Mids gets an update out
    *******Warning Backup anything before trying and do at your own risk *******


    Ok I figured out how to make Mids show up PPP under scrapper to help get an idea of what a build would look like and should work for other classes and as everyone says back it up before you do anything.

    So the steps

    Options >Advanced >Database Editor then click Main Database

    Under the group column highlight Epic >Next click on the the name of the epic pool like Stalker.... in the Middle column the far right column will show the 5 powers.

    Select the first power click edit > click on requirements Tab >then in the required class add a check mark for the class that corresponds example Class_Scrapper. Do this for all 5 powers

    *******NOTE************ The first two powers of the PPP will also need an additional step. Under required powered it says power a and b the words Villain appear this needs to be removed. Just highlight and select remove under the power A&B area

    When done with all the editing click on the save and edit it will re-index the database

    I assume this would automatically go to brutes, stalkers and tanks for these sets that match the scrappers and I throw in Ninjitsu as well for stalkers
