Heart Attack

Finally got my MM to 50 she'd been stuck at lvl 45 since i#9 so it was nice and did it completing a LRSF too, another first for me.

Got my first lvl 50 Vill last night. So I've been looking at the VEATs and wasn't very impressed with their cossie selection. Yes the AT specific cossie looks good, BUT it is very restrictive.

While looking at Paragonwiki I saw this

I know many of you have VEATs does that mean the 2nd, 3rd etc cossie slots can have normal unrestricted cossies in them?

I often find the run to Steel canyon tailor can be bit of a trek for a lowbie, i find running to IP tailor actuaully easier as just go across Kings Row and use the IP entrance there and then the icon is just along the road. (might be a few family mobs not to far away, but is usually no more then two) Lot easier then dodging all the mobs in Steel canyon

That said there have been times when I wanted a specific look that I could only get from a cossie recipe that I would have liked to find a tailor in Atlas, so I could play the get some inf from an SG mate, buy the cossie bit, change cossie and then play the whole game through with the proper look.

While I'd like to see this, but theres many other things I'd prefer to see before it.

That assumes the hypothetical pool system would only have one pool. It could have multiple pools and this could be in the (e.g.) yearly pool. Or some rewards could count as two rewards. Etc., etc. This isn't a reason for not having a pool system.

This reward is a good illustration of the problem of not having a pool system though. This is a nice reward. New players might like it. They're unlikely to ever get it, unless there's an alternative means of getting it.

Leave the awards at their current levels. When you get to a vet award point you can either take the award due or save a "Vet Merit".

Vet Merits can be used ti buy any vet award you don't have thats at you current vet level or lower

OR

2 can be used to buy an award thats 3, 6 , 9 or 12 months ahead of you

3 Can be used to buy an award thats 15, 18 , 21 or 24 months ahead of you

4 Can be used to buy an award thats 27, 30 , 33 or 36 months ahead of you

5 Can be used to buy an award thats 39, 42 , 45 or 48 months ahead of you

Thus to get this fancy 60 month award as a new player you'd have to save for 4 vet periods (so you're a 12 month vet) and could then buy the 60 month award with your 4 Vet Merits as its 48 months in the future.

Sigh, Alas we haven't got access to the midnight club AND the one time we did the ITF has scared my wife so much that she refuses to do it again. Yea I know it's not that bad, infact I enjoyed it, but thats the way she is.

Mind you the one time we did the LGTF it went badly wrong and she wont do that one either now

Back before issue 10 my wife and I started a couple of MMs and played them through to 44 at which point we ran out of normal content so we put them on hold until issue 10 came out. However something had happened in the interim and we couldn't get back into them. They just didn't seem as up close and personal as other alts and we (mainly she) found we didn't enjoy them anymore.

We've played them a little on and off and stuggled up to 46. We'd like to try and get them to 50 on Saturday as double XP will (we hope) speed us through. Are there any Villains out there that will help us through to 50 by coming along to the RWZ and teaming with us?

Agreed the popup would be good.

As for the Hero Corp/PvP contacts why not juts have the contact say, hey I've got XXXX on the phone for you and then have the text pop up that the contact would have said, no XP no travel no hassle. Then back to the contact for a real mission.

It's not down to the number of Alts in a place it's down to how fast those Alts can kill whats available. Basically the faster you kill off the invaders the more Heavies turn up. lvl 50s can clear the mobs faster than say lvl 30s you'll see more heavies when there are lots of highbies around than if there are lots of lowbies around.

I like the suggestions especially the teleport one.

As for SJ, I think the damage should still be there, but scaled better. If I can only just 5 feet in the air a 50 foot drop should hurt as much as if falling 500 feet when I can just 50 feet in the air. Both are 10 times what I can jump. Hope that made sense.

Makes you wonder if they couldn't auto SK everyone in an invasion zone to lvl 50 and set the Rikti/Zombies/Who knows what to level 50 too. Of course lowbies would still have the issues that

A) They have few powers
B) They'll probably run out of End

But it might make the invasions more open to evenyone.

That said it might make Hard suites hard to find (due to their spawn rules) and Hard to Kill (as they'd have level 50 HP instead of level 30 HP), but that might not be a bad thing.

However this only works for invasions where the general mob population is removed. So for the Hunters this wouldn't work so well as I don't think we'd want the zones emptying as we do in an invasion.

Bear in mind it has a recharge time of 2 hours.

Clearly the PPD officier is too higher level to get XP.

As for the Police Station they can't go out and nick the villains, the only ones in there are detectives waiting for a hero to arrive so they can send them to a bank robbery

I miss Nothing, I'm still enjoying the game. It's changed over time but then life does that too enjoy change instead missing things gone by!
