Yes, it does - VEATs pick up their second costume slot earlier than usual too (at level 10 IIRC), in one of their AT-specific arcs.

Just remember that if you are crab or bane spider, you will have to have the backpack even on normal costumes.
Only crab spider have the backpack.
Banes will only have it if they have a crab duel build.

I knew it was something, was half right at least ^^
Got my first lvl 50 Vill last night. So I've been looking at the VEATs and wasn't very impressed with their cossie selection. Yes the AT specific cossie looks good, BUT it is very restrictive.
While looking at Paragonwiki I saw this

I know many of you have VEATs does that mean the 2nd, 3rd etc cossie slots can have normal unrestricted cossies in them?
