Taunt...if a tank or brute hasnt got taunt and no form of pbaoe/aoe taunt then i class them as noobs.
most brutes/tanks only need 3 power pools at best- some form on travel (2 powers)-fittness set (3 powers) and fighting set (3 powers), ok in the fighting set you dont have you use box or punch or w.t ever it is, or kick just slotting it with a single acc/end or acc/stun etc IO is good enough (i got it on my brute)
Most brutes/tanks take all if not 8 out of the 9 secondary powers and normally skip 2 powers or 1 from the primary and slotting them right= awesome.
TAUNT while is optional- is highly sort by any team. the idea of a tank or brute is to tank basically, while brutes do more damage then tanks.
So heres the question really: if you got no tank in a team..but u have a brute..but you dont expect to tank with it...whos going to protect the team? the scrapper-but hes not a tank and rarely will be one. Brutes are basically the villain form of a tank.
also. ive found if you slot taunt 6 times..u get a nice 3. something defence...which is simply sexy. now i wont share my build for my fire invul or stone invul brute. but i have my very first power (the minor damage one-lvl 1) and my taunt power slotted 6 times for a nice 6+def...and ive rarely died..making me a good tanker and damage dealer in time..
Tanks are built for one thing...tanking- taking damage and giving it back over time...
brutes on the other hand can be made into two things: tank or blapper.
Tank- as above
Blapper. strong attacks-weak defence/resis
so while taunt isnt needed. any tank or brute that goes on a tf/sf is better in my books with taunt..as no-one likes a team wipe more so the squishes.
but also mainly for sure..... i'll never have you on a MO without taunt. you want pure damage..dont be the only brute/main brute as its rare to find someone who has tht perfect balance of great damage and good secondaries. (though their are sets out there that do that kind of thing). -
They mentioned the lack of whining. and tbh, besides the funny doom threads that we seem to post...most of the top whinning is very little or confined for a while. which shows that despite the things. i believe we have one of the best communities in any MMO/Game...and thats a bold statement alone.

Erm maybe because the current payment system is fine. if its an issue of not having the cash. just get someone to pay it for you and you pay them back. thats what i do when ever i want a booster pack etc and dont have the cash at the specific moment.

im on the EU server- union and this is getting rather *&^% taking/.
evertime i shut my computer down, reboot it and play the game i have to rename. del. rename del etc the files before the uploader is working..what is going on here. -

WElcome to the world away from your current world.
scrappers i think are the easiest on heroes to start off with and MasterMinds are the same villain side.
be nice, dont act stuck up and urll do great with people.
dont blind invite people to teams.
i say dont farm at all as ur new, asked or start get to know the missions, the landmarks everything first.

I first started off here, back in i6, im thinking just half it, as by i7 i just hit lvl 40 to continue my lvling to 50. i came from command and conquer: generals zero hour after a mate mentioned about this game.
As i didnt really play any mmo's before i wasnt too sure at the time, but with the month play i got it to it very well. even back then i loved villains and preferred them to heroes:P theme wise. and since been here (Dam i cant even imagine what the game play/interface was like back then o.o lol)
thats why im concerned for the EU tbh/player base around my servers (currently).
i didnt buy it digitally i went to the shops and even brought the collectors box after a time, even though i already had the game i like the idea of owning it. ...just wish i knew this game from the beginnning ^^. -

US: Majority of your servers have a lot more players than our busiest one. If worried about players being on at different times, then freedom/virtue would be fine since even your "lowest numbers" beat our peaks.
EU: Population slowly declining with no real advertising/merchandising to give the belief that it'll grow
US: Both GR and AE boxsets will have been available within stores in just over a year difference to give customers the impression that its a constantly growing business/game and would get new players.
We all have a lot of group of friends ingame who we like to talk/play too, but if theres no new players coming in then whats the motivation to keep us here? I dont want to play on a "private server" as such. I've even logged onto the french and german servers from time to time to team with people who i dont know [still love teaming with the french players!]. The EU population is currently a very loyal bunch of people who have for the last 3 years seen our community reps/communication dwindle constantly. Merger of the forums helped greatly with the communication part and we are only now starting to see dev/mod created events on our servers too.
Seemed like it was starting to pick up and that the future seemed bright with GR, now . . . . all the bad memories are coming back

Ok. point in the direction where i CAN voice my "views". i dont seem to see a marketing section here. i started here cos its the first thread i saw this in and im not going to double post.
i dont think people are serious about the tv adverts cos they are a huge investment and unsure if we would even see a above spending return from them. i think people only use it as an example because of wow and even then i personally dont know if the return from those adverts made it worth it. but prompting to places where gamers alike visit/view is what most of us except marketing to aim at within the EU. we dont mean flood the world with stuff but at least....something. -
To most of the posts above...I Happy to know im not the only one who thinks the current situation is above and beyond appalling. it's not 100% the fact that we cant buy the box sets phyically like we want.
its the fact that people buy the game from what they see around the shops. like EU Damz said, people like to buy games by going to shops and seeing whats there. unless they know about the game before they wont search for the game online. ok some do, but its a big place to search.
while marketing has done minor stuff to prompt the game...they havent done anything outside of the US. and if you have by all means shut me up by telling me/us what and where u have..cos like many...we havent seen ****!!. -

if you only want to prompt the game in bloody america then get rid of the EU servers and merge them into the USA servers.
i want an actually answer to this from a RED NAME. i really do i'm sick and tired of having EU (EU not just england) messed around becuase they dont want to spend pretty penny into helping out the game. you'd think with something like GR something thats going to improve the game 10 fold marketing or who ever decides on spending would go all out. I saw crap loads of stuff for aion yet for this game i dont see **** all except the odd mag acticle- thats not bloody good enough.

Yer i know "bad" language is not allowed but im sick of this. i love the game and all its theme and i enjoy the people in it...so WHY CAN'T WE GET MORE PEOPLE INTO THE GAME??? WHY DOES EU HAVE TO DIE. this is why more people play on the us servers- they know more about it.

and lets not forget people this is a super hero and villain game. cant make too much fantasy based things...
