Quote:Your argument is not canon and is therefore invalid.Yeah movies are not considered canon. Also, he had some sort of mechanical device on his arm. Dont know why anyone would assume that he could do that on his own...
*Wins the debate that was apparently going on* -
He sure as heck has eagle eyes at the end of the Patron arcs. All you gotta do is stand within the general vicinity of City Hall and he's already shooting at you.

Quote:It was in one of the opening scenes of The Dark Knight. There was some poser dressed up as Batman and had a shotgun, then the real Batman showed up. Fake bats pointed the gun at real bats, and real bats grabbed the front of it and bent it upwards.Bats bending a gun? Citation please, he's got human levels of strength, not superhuman.
I couldn't find a video of the clip, but I did find someone with very little knowledge of movie making asking a question about it. -
It was for this very reason I decided to just not take Speed Boost. No skin off my back.

The second Fantastic Four movie was pretty good...

Quote:Well, the first one was really funny, and it made a point... but then there was a second... and then a third.

Now, a "Post screenshots of your Bifurcations log" thread, THAT would be hilarity! -
I really like this idea as an honest suggestion. It'd go well sitting next to Snowflakes in the Candy Keeper's catalog.
Maybe also some kind of Grinch-related emote (the smile would be hard to pull off) for a naughty/nice parody/parity. -
D'oh! I did it again.
If you see a message that says "Software Update Required", delete manifest.dat and restart Sentinel. -

Like I mentioned in another thread, you can use GameTimeZone to purchase game card codes for the NA and EU sides of the game.
The two-month code at that site (out of stock at time of this posting) is $25, which is $12.5 per month; even better than NCsoft's own 6-month deal. -
Quote:Holding Trapdoor prevents him from spawning Bifurcations. Dragging him down the hall or into the lava or whatever takes him away from where his Bifurcations spawn.Same question to you. Should they then make him immune to holds? Is the fact my Controllers, Doms and several Blasters can hold him (think I can lump some Defenders in there, too) an "oversight" that needs correcting, as it also nullifies his "signature effect?"
If not, why not? Pulling away from the bifurcations accomplishes the same thing in a different way.
Think about this for a second. If you had this magical ability to teleport to multiple locations simultaneously in order to recover during a battle, would you send yourself all the way down a hallway, or up out of the lava, and still not be able to rest? Probably not.
Conceptually: the Bifurcations buff Trapdoor's regeneration no matter where he is.
On the other hand, if someone froze you solid, wrapped you up in vines, chomped down on you with an ethereal shark or whatever and made it impossible for you to move whatsoever, would you be able to teleport yourself to multiple locations at once? Probably not.
Conceptually: mezzing Trapdoor will prevent him from Bifurcating.
The upcoming changes aren't the devs striking down creativity or forcing in arrogance players to do things their way. They had specific intentions going into this that weren't met due to an oversight; they are not taking action against player tactics specifically.
The fact that these changes are taking place means the devs did something wrong, yes, but what they did wrong was not allow the Bifurcations to always buff Trapdoor in the first place, NOT the fact that they're changing to work that way from now on. -
Quote:You are terribly mistaken, my friend. The gold standard is 'make it fun,' and sometimes that comes in the form of multiple solutions to the same problem and sometimes not.You all do know that MMO's and CRPGs usually get very high praise when they set up their encounters so as to allow multiple solutions and tactics, right? That's the gold standard of 'good computer gaming.'
I mean really, just look at Trapdoor: his signature move is bifurcating to regenerate health. You think maybe, just maybe, it was intended to be a part of the battle? The fact that people figured out ways to nullify the effects of the bifurcations was an oversight by the devs, and one they are correcting in the next update.
Is that taking away an option? No, not by definition. It's correcting an oversight. If the changes taking place in the next patch were already in place with I19, nobody would be complaining about their introduction. -
You will not be booted or have your Prestige number reset. This was implemented for the very reason of allowing people who have made considerable investments into their super groups to switch sides without losing those investments.
During your time as a Villain, in addition to being demoted to Commander, you will not be able to enter Super Group mode and you cannot access your base. -
Quote:Not only that, but prior posts in this thread express the sentiment that the devs have specifically done a bad thing that they shouldn't have done because of this one mission that you can't auto-complete.The part that bothers me about it is the people that have the audacity to complain that they have to run ONE mission out of the arc because you can't auto-complete it.
I mean, this isn't Castle on epic powersets here. (-: -

Bugged or not, if something is hard even for an ubermegasoloer, it's still okay to ask for help. (-:

Quote:You won't be dropped from your Super Group if you switch to Villain, but you will lose access to your base and will be demoted from Super Leader until you roll back around to Hero. Other than putting someone else in charge during the interim, there is no risk for switching sides.Ok so lemme get this right..... I have a Hero who leads a SG and I really don't want to go full villian.
Correct, but you'll only be granted the Accolade badge and none of its prerequisites. -
Quote:That was me you were quoting... The one who has repeatedly cast harsh words at min/maxers and on more than one occasion linked to one of his prized Frankenslotted builds? Yeah, you were just responding to what I said and completely overlooked the fact that it was me saying it.Because not being leet and uber instantly makes you a whiny noob, cos you can't complete the hard mission as easily as some people.
Oh, wait...No, it doesn't.
Sure, I've soloed the Mender Ramiel arc (with Inspirations) on the four characters I've attempted it with, but my Defender is not among them, and I'm not entirely certain I can solo the whole thing with an Emp/Elec...
Or, if humor is allowed, a Suck/Suck.
I don't ever slot for Invention Sets (intentionally, at any rate), and I'm about as displaced as it gets from the min/maxing crowd. I've been especially vocal in the past about how brain-deaded the general populace has been when religiously taking Stamina, and I'm not exactly enthused that it is now forced on every character at level 2.
But hey, let's not let context get in the way of a good flame. Clearly, clearly, my post shows that my sentiment towards those pitiful, non-uberleet players is that they're just whiny noobs. -
People took their Resistance characters to Paragon City? Not me! Villain all the way!

Quote:Yes. And if you switch back, the badge description says you get to keep them.If a villain has all the villain accolades and switches over to hero will he get the military epaulets?

Quote:In that case, I have a recommendation for you.All I'm asking for is an option to NOT play the game like I'm forced to live my real life.
