Ok, I went with Doctored Wounds rather than Numina's Convalescence because I prefer tha recharge bonuses rather than the regen, and I don't have 10 million to spend on each one lol
Anyway, tear this build apart like a kitten in a starving lion enclosure!!
P.S. Mid's is also an amazing Hero Builder, bravo! -

Have you actually played an Energy secondary on a stalker to high level to comment on how bad it is?
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes...Level 50....
Okay, maybe I wasn't being very helpful, but imo I think it's bad.
But, yes Repel is good in PvE, but the lack of a self heal and the poor defence don't go well together, while yes, the repel resistence is incredibly useful in PvP, as is the teleport resistance in certain circumstances. The set does have good points, but it's bad points are the most important (defence). I'm sure it can be a good set if played correctly, but since Stalkers have a tight build, it's difficult to use those good points.
Anyway, I'll go back in my corner and carry on hating EA. -
Dooooooom!!
EA imo is the worst set you can choose for Stalkers, the only decent power in it is Overload (which is the best lvl 38 power ever!), but it has poor defence in all the other shields.
It may work well as DM is an Endurance heavy set and the -accuracy from DM could negate the poor defence from EA, and the Endurance powers from EA could certainly come in useful.
It could work, so good luck with your choise! -
Yeah, but we all know SM is the better one.
Hehe, they're basically the same sets with different skins and different haircuts, Rage is nice, but I can hit through PFF on occasion too.
But yes, good luck choosing, really, you can't go wrong with either... -
To Wyx: The Supergroup i as good as the members in it, yes, and we have some very good members in The Council, and I've found judging poeple by how they react to things in PvP zones isn't a great display of character. I've been in The Council for about a year, and in this time I've seen Jubai, Blood etc showing great leadership skills and level-headedness (is that even a word??).
To Zeshin: You say that the OV sometimes fight against solo targets, when I've foung this to be 99% of the case (random percentage made up, but oddly enough quite accurate). The OV utilise the debuffing strengths of your Archetypes and then use some good ol' fashioned damage to put the person in question out of their debuffed misery.
To Custardx (hehe, custard): Yes, you play the zone 'as it's meant to be played' and in a fashion that irritates people because it comes across as somewhat 'wimpish'. The OV can gank people in threes better than anyone else, except maybe E.V.I.L., and that you attacking people is kind of 'final' if you get me. There is nothing they can do to stop it, and the powers that have saved them from those tough 300-in-one-hit damage dealing Broadswords etc don't help against you, a group of little squishies.
Banning people rarely does effect their attitude, so here is a nice analogy of what I think the situation is like...
You're trying to get a lion to stop eating meat as it is bad (swearing is bad, stay in school kids!), yet ever time you meet it, you produce a nice sucucant peice of meat and taunt the lion with it, then when the lion gives in and eats the meat, you punish it.
Anyway, it is unrealistic to go to a PvP zone and not expect some level of verbal abuse. I'm not saying here that what Jubai and Blood etc said was correct, as it was breaking EULA (bad boys!) and was slightly rude, but you saying you weren't expecting it is rather a load of droppings.
In conclusion, what you guys are trying to do here is rather childish and I gotta cut this short...
Anyway, you're shownig yourselves in a bad light here too, now taataa. -
And in my defence, 'nub' is hardly a great insult.
And as your logs say, you were baiting him, and having a great laugh out of it..

The whole way you've structured the posts and the logs was to annoy and provoke the people mentioned into reacting badly.
And also you say you we're stealing their codes, which may have been true, yet doubtful in RV, so you were trying to annoy them.
*Tries to think of a way to get this thread deleted*
EDIT: And your title on the Octavian forums is very accurate...

EDIT TAKE 2: And reading the last quote carefully, Octavian didn't seem very popular... -
Yes that was quite bad language on the part of Jubai and some others, yet as your logs show you were killng them while they were trying to get nukes, and in such rapid succession that you weren't getting any rep.
The fact is that you were trying to annoy them and succeeded, and are now posting the fruit of your efforts on the forums to discredit them. -
In my experience people are at their worst when in a PvP zone, namely Warburg.
From what I've heard the people conserned just lost their cool and overreacted to the situation. We're usually a nice friendly Supergroup. -
Argh, evil numbers!
And I've had a few times in PvP when Seismic Smash didn't break through Acro, but it is fun juggling people.
As mentioned, with Lightning Reflexes and Hasten Rage can be stacked, if only for 3 secs it's still cool!! -
What's this h-o-s-p-i-t-a-l thing? Never been.
If you want we can meet up and test this 'Guy who has insps + Aid Self dies quicker than guy with just insps' theory of yours.
And for EM/Elec, Stamina isn't a requirement, you can do perfectly well without it.
And on me getting Tough, I've found it far, far, far more useful than Brute Patron Powers.
And I just found at about level 30-ish that a self heal is incredibly useful in the middle of a CoT mission.
Anyway, it works for me, but I've seen Elec Brutes who do fine without it.
And on the slotting, I've got my heal fully slotted, Endurance Drain fully slotted, all my Primary Powers fully slotted, the list goes on.
Sooo many's in this post!
-
So when you've all run out of insps I'll be the one laughing!! Muahahahaha!
Ok, Tough and Aid Self aren't a requirement, but they do make life more survivable.
And Tough is useful when fighting those nasty Katana/Regens in RV, but, that's just my opinion, go with what you want. -
Yeah, Stone Melee is amazing
but Hand Clap would knock off Acro and leave your squishie(s) of choice slowly staggering away from you waiting to be punched up into the air
Both are good choices but as you said with the ability to stack Rage you get very good damage and accuracy. -
Stone Melee/Elec is my choice
Seismic Smash to hold those squishies through arco, and nice Endurance Drain powers to suck those nasty Regens out in duel
And of course Aid Self with it's very nice 10 second recharge is incredibly helpful, combined with Tough makes you very hard to kill
And Power Surge, who doesn't want to look like a Gremlin and kill stuff while being basically invincible? -
Well it depends if you want to go for PvP or PvE on the primary set. Energy Melee is better for PvP as you mentioned with Eenergy Transfer and Total Focus, and is more single target, while Electric Melee is more AoE as 6 out of 9 powers in the set can hit multiple targets.
On the recharge front I don't know about Electric Melee or Energy Melee much, yet in a mob with full fury you're gonna kill things quicker with Elec than Energy Melee. But if you are choosing Electric Armor, Lightning Reflecex has +25% on the recharge I think, which means that recharge isn't a problem and with hasten its a jiffy.
Electric Armor isn't the strongest of secondary resistance sets, but with Aid Self and Tough you can still survive as long as any Invunerability Brute
And on the charging into a mob of Longbow, the stacked -resistance of the Sonic Grenades the Nullifiers deal out can beat anything, so that isn't a great indication of the strength of the set.
Some people like Electric Amor, others don't, and with the Endurance powers of the set, I think it's one of the best sets for Brutes
Anyway, good luck making your choice, hope this ramble has been helpful! -
I have a ToHit Debuff/Defencive Debuff/Endurance Reduction and would like to trade for an Accuracy/Damage.
-
Light Graventite signing up, he's lvl 44 at the moment, but I'm sure I can get him up 9 bars in a few days. MA/Regen/Body Mastery.
-
Yes, most EA Brutes don't take the auto resistances, and instead take Aid Self from the Medicine(However it's spelt
) pool. Aid self has saved my life many a time, I can tell ya'!!
I wish you luck with your Brute, EM is a good primary, good power and when stacked can stun nearly anything. -
Energy Aura's Entropy Shield is nice mez protection. I was gonna' suggest Elec when I saw this post, then I read you wanted good mez protection.
Anyway, Entropy Shield is great mez protection IMHO, it also has teleport res, it can come in handy I can tall ya'!!
So, hope this helps. -
Ah, thats nice to know
OK, Endurance Modification then instead, my thinking this time, to get more Endurance from the few reamining enemies left after I used my Endurance killing the rest!
Hehe, thanks again! -
[ QUOTE ]
End Mod or End Red?
[/ QUOTE ]
Opps, sorry I didn't make myself clear, I meant Endurance Reduction, as this is on my DM/Stone brute, and I always have some sort of Endurance power on my characters, so. . .
I just thought there would be no better secondary to teleport into the middle of a large mob and live to see the power execute!
Anyway, thanks for your help all! -
I was thinking of slotting the END drain with, 2 accuracy, 3 recharge and 1 endurance. How's that sound?
